A desperate cry from Italy! -massive raids-

Thousands of police raids against the cannabis community are ongoing in our country.
All started by an inquiry against a famous italian site that was selling seeds and growing equipment some years ago.
The guy behind the site was processed and discharged a number of times but police never gived up.
After some years the things went worse and the police was able to get a complete list of sensitive data (names, CC numbers,...) of all the customers of the site and other linked sites. They are now shutting down a lot of cannabis related web stores and raiding most of the peoples found in the list.
Most of the times the raid has a negative result, take note that some of the purchases are 5 years old. The people involved (more than 2500 at the moment) is nevertheless facing a process and legal issues.
The thing is completely crazy if you consider that seeds are completely legal in Italy so they are assuming that everyone who purchased a seed packet is an actual grower or a drug dealer.
Massive economic interests are behind all the story, they are forcing people to buy from criminality and persecute humble guys and families in place of fighting the real crimes.
All this is happening with very little media coverage and disinformation is spreading from the few sources.
I want to tell this story to all you friends of ICMag, this must not happen in the global indifference!
If you think that drug war is going to end, think again.

Here you find some good information in italian language:

This thread is all about this topic and is one of the most visited on the italian forum:

Thanks for your attention, show some love for the italian community and spread the information!

Thank you for posting. I am aware now.

The only thing I can think of from here in California is to suggest protecting yourselves.
I don't know how the Italian political system works outside of the movies I have watched so I am at a loss to act.

My concerns are with you.

Thanks for the understanding Jack.
We're lost in a country where cannabis growers is punished worst than cocaine dealers (sometimes worst than killers).
It's important to TALK about it, that's a little step but i hope for the better.

Peace

I think sometimes people forget that the drug war is first and foremost perpetrated by governments on behalf of the corporate interest...That's why we see poppy fields eradicated and grows busted thousands of miles away. All to serve our corporate masters..The governments get a small pittance in the form of seizures of property and such. But compared to the massive wealth created by monopolizing our vices, it's nothing.

and this is not a joke...in our f***** country, Birm/italy, we have the terrible paradox that production of pedophile video is punished with 6 to 12 years...cultivation of ANY PSICHOTROPIC PLANT from 6 to 20 years!!!
"they" call this law and justice..............

it is all across the world. Even in the states. Rapists and murders get a double "life" sentence...ie 7-14 years with parole...out in 5-8 for most. Cannabis offenses can land you in for 10-25 years....

Yeah....justice and protecting the common good my ass.....

Didn't realize things were so bad in Italy. Going back 5 years? That's crazy! Don't they have a statute of limitations?
Sounds like the police don't want to mess with the mafia, so they go after "softer" targets. What assholes.

Thats because politics and mafia are strictly linked, so pushing illegal market is better for all... very sad indeed

These are american's balls, not italian. We will never eat that shit.

This is food......

End of cooking lesson.

The problem is the law, it's inversely proportional to the bank account: more money means fewer laws. If you are a poor with a plant police will stop u, if you're a mafia's boss that's funding a political party you'll became a philanthropist.

This is the sad truth.

This is insanity.
People getting severely punished for indulging in a PLANT.
How do they possibly compare that to a rapist or murderer I have no idea. Are we really THAT bad?:(

It is true that the underdog loses the most, who is doing the least
The ones who are raking in the bucks are paying people to keep safe or something cause I just don't get it either.:dunno:

It seems that dispensaries and compassion clubs are getting nailed globally. You guys aren't alone.
MANY people are without meds because of it which is sad.

P.S. I realize this isn't a joking matter but you guys make the BESTEST meatballs ever.:trampoline:

Government IS that bad, and they perpetrate their crimes in the name of the people. It is enough to make you puke.

That's what's everything about!
The big ones want us to buy shit from them, instead of growing our own weed.
And being legalization impossible (thank you vatican city), i guess our only chances are quitting mj or moving to california.
Beauty of our country is in inverse propotion with honesty of our politicians...
