But if so many people are talking about it (like you claimed in your other post) - then let's see where they're talking about it.

And dude... I hate to break it to you... But us doubting you does not mean we're behind the times. It means we're reasonable/logical people - who don't believe something just because some random person on the internet says we should.

Without sources, your claims mean absolutely nothing... See, I can do it too... Watch:

Hey guys... In 2012, santa clause is going to wave his magic wand and completely end prohibition. What? You've never heard anything about that? Well billionaires have been talking about it for a while now. Where's my sources, you say? Well, I have them - but I'm not going to share them. You're just behind the times.

That's basically what you keep repeating.

Oh, and for the record... Anyone who was paying attention could have foresaw the economy going to shit. I predicted that back when we invaded Iraq in 2003 - FIVE YEARS prior to it actually happening. Know what that means? Absolutely nothing, lol. It was obvious that our country was heading for a shit-storm, to anyone who bothered paying attention... So you predicting the economy going to shit, 2.5 years prior to it happening, doesn't make you special. It just means you recognized that Bush is retarded, and would eventually bankrupt the country.

I knew it was coming, and also how to make money off of it. That is the difference. I knew when and how to invest. I was very well prepared when everyone else was bitching I was making cash. You do not know to what degree I am involved in what is going on, and you are just prejudging because I will not sight sources. I guess Santa will be bringing me something good for 2012. :)

I do agree bush was retarted though.

I will leave this thread now because it seems that i have nothing to offer anyone. My "ctrl c" is broken.

HeHe.

I predict it will pass.

I think the big growers are outspoken on the issue overall and the personal growers/blowers are simply not concerned about it.

Babba I've read 19 several times. As I said I don't think it's perfect for us,,, but I think it is perfect in a sense that it will appeal to those outside of our mj people (if that makes any sense???)

I do have reserves,, but what really puts me over the line is the no limits on home posessision.

That is the hook line sinker. Possess as much as you want... I love it.

Also it makes all paraphanelia legal, thus making PC much harder to substantiate....

So Im just curious why you dont actually vote for what you felt?
CA resident- Yes, but would rather be voting on a better bill?
This seems to be much closer to how you really feel ... just wonder why you didnt vote for it instead of ?
CA resident- Yes
Which would make me assume you think its written perfectly?

The state of affairs in California is very simple.

We as a people have voted to fight back against the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration).

We have voted to protect MEDICAL users of marijuana. We said they are too sick, suffering, in pain, disabled, to be caught up in this DEA drug war BULLSHIT.

Now it is our chance to protect RECREATIONAL users of marijuana. We just want to have a good time. We don't need no DEA drug war BULLSHIT.

All you commercial growers who don't want to pay a tax for a permit to play in the big leagues, guess what? You still have to deal with DEA drug war BULLSHIT.

Your proposition to grow freely and abundantly will come later. Maybe 2012, maybe 2020. I don't know when your ship will sail, but get off of our ship.

THIS IS THE LEGALIZATION FOR RECREATIONAL USE ship. ALL COMMERCIAL GROWERS AND PROFITEERS, please jump ship.

I'm sorry to repeat myself, but the questions why don't we wait for another bill is just getting old.

Why didn't we wait for a better bill when 215 was being passed? Why didn't we hold out then to wait for "everyone" and not just those with a medical need.

Hahaha right... So we're all just supposed to believe you for the fuck of it, then? Whatever dude... Once again - without sources, nothing you say will EVER be believed. That's just the way the world works. If you want people to believe your claims, you gotta back them up some how... Which you are not doing... Which just leads me to believe that you're really just full of it.

Sources, or gtfo.

EDIT: And just because you made money during the recession doesn't prove your sources are reliable. There was a group of HS kids who were given a class project... They were given hypothetical money, and were hypothetically investing it in stocks... The project was designed to see if people could still make money in the stock market - during the recession... They'd choose stocks, and how much of their hypothetical money to invest in those stocks... They'd then make trades, etc... Until the project was done...

Well, they did their HW on the market... And guess what - had they been given REAL money, and had they ACTUALLY invested it the way they did for their project - they'd be MILLIONAIRES! And that's a group of HS kids who just took a little time to do their HW.

So once again... Without sources backing up your claims... Your words mean absolutely nothing... They're just words typed by some random person on the net.

WERD! Very well said!!!

All you commercial growers go cry somewhere else. This bill is about providing freedom for recreational use. I am not sorry, AT ALL, that this may cut into your fortunes by opening the market up for competition and making y'all pay taxes in order to be commercial growers... Quit bein so greedy, and try thinking about the greater good of the people for a change... Instead of how much money you're making off the illegality of it.

It's people like y'all that give the movement a bad name. You guys are just as bad as the government. You see a cash crop, and you wanna be the ones who continue making a fortune off of it - instead of sharing the wealth.

Please - do us all a favor, and leave the movement. You greedy growers have lost sight as to what the movement is REALLY about - and that is personal freedom.

Some of you have said that you want a better bill that allows more freedom. That's flat out bullshit. You're afraid how much your profit margins will shrink, once it becomes commercially available. You're not fighting for the cause. You're fighting for your own greed... And it makes me sick...

"Say goodbye to ever getting a loan for college"

Really?

That's pretty interesting.

When I was looking into loans for college, a lot of the people told me that a drug offense would make it so you won't get federal loans.

What were your charges? Just out of curiosity.

multiple grow houses in a southern state in the 90's.

I got ill and put on disability then got my record expunged. I checked the "no" box when they asked if I had any felony convictions.

Oh... Dude, if your record is expunged, that's different... You can get a loan with that... I'm talking about people who have a charge that won't be expunged...

In either case... I believe the financial aid people who told me drug charges most certainly do keep you from getting a loan (and you may lose your current financial aid, if you get a drug charge - and are already enrolled in school)... Reason being, is that it's sorta their jobs... And it wasn't very long ago that I was told that... So maybe things have changed a bit since you were in school...

That is weird. The online form asks if you've been convicted for a drug offense, and yes or no checkmark. Right after that question you hit a button and within seconds it tells you yes or no.

Because the computer is assuming you're being honest. If you lie, there's a good chance you're going to get caught... When the person who's job it is to process those forms runs your background check. :)

Drug offenders can receive federal financial aid, including loans, grants and work study. Here's the worksheet to determine your eligibility. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/before013.htm

Note, you are subjected to a one year ban if you were convicted of possession or sales, ONLY if you were receiving federal financial aid AT THE TIME OF THE OFFENSE. The law changed a couple of years ago to limit the bans only to students enrolled during their offense.

Accordingly, if you were not in school, or if you were not receiving federal financial aid at the time of the offense, there is no ban.

Also, there is a loophole for those convicted of cultivation. Cultivation/manufacture is not a prohibited offense, ONLY sales and possession are barriers to aid. Do not take my word for it, fill out the worksheet and find out for yourself. Also, I sought legal counsel and was informed that cultivation is not listed as a prohibited offense, and therefore, not a barrier to procuring a federal student loan.

Unfortunately, many people are not aware of what the rules actually are and often get bad information. Financial aid offices are often staffed with clueless morons who don't know jack about anything. Simply answer the questions asked on the worksheet and you'll be fine.

Again, the barrier is only for 1 year and only if you were convicted while getting federal aid. If you are a busted a second time while receiving aid, then you have a two year ban. The ban starts from the date of conviction, not the date you apply for aid.

Hope this helps.
