First fruits of 2010. Master Kush.
Appropriate strain to kick off the season. Master was the first Kush I ever smoked years ago. At the time, I was told the the clone came from B-Real's (from Cypress Hill) home grow. While the story was probably complete bullshit (I was in LA, the capital of bullshitland) I will never forget the smell and taste. Mine is still uncured and the taste reflects it, but the smell on breaking off a bong-load is just perfect.
note: these nugs were big-leafed as they were hung and finger-trimmed for the shot.

Yes your leaves have a healthy micro culture just like your soil
. No experience here but seems if you start on an Oxidate program you're hooked on regular treatments till the end. The subtilis sounds cool but maybe think about a nice full spectrum bacterial tea if you're gonna nuke the cultures on your leaves. From what I understand Mycostop is selective while Oxidate ain't.

are you in CAN or USA? dude you should read nomaad's OD '09, and then look at what he's doing this year, and you can learn a lot from that stuff. How many degrees north are you?
I'm only asking out of curiousity. I guess CA (California) does have the highest plant limits.... Although my guess is 99 plants is going to become the new federal limit. After that it would be all up to the states. That would be really helpful, too, because you really need a higher plant count if you're trying to do any kind of breeding or plant selection.

Makes perfect sense. As a preventative, it would seem counter-productive. Gonna have to rethink the whole thing. I purchased the Oxidate to use like I used the Kaligreen last year, to attack spots of PM and to treat entire plants that were having generalized PM problems...
Yankee: I know this is not what you were getting at, but what would you put in a tea meant to create an environment hostile to PM in the canopy?
I think I rememberTom Hill mentioned that the high levels of Calcium in his soil mix were instrumental in PM prevention. Does Ca25 also help in this department? Should I keep hitting them with the Ca25 until buds really start stacking? Just thinking out loud here... I want to get out ahead of any PM issues that arise. But I certainly don;t want to fuck up my foliar microlife to prevent it. Now that I see the pieces of the puzzle more clearly, its pretty obvious.
I am not worried about the majority of my garden, but i do have a squad of Pineapple Coughs that I was warned were less resistant to PM and a pair of Bubbas that are the right structure for fungal problems. I'm mostly trying to get an idea of all the options at my disposal and their implications... so thanks for helping me see it clearly.
Oh, on that note- the Pineapple Cough is starting to flower. Whew. I was starting to worry a little.

I'm only speculating, but from what I've gathered it seems like the microbial diversity of your tea has a whole lot to do with the benefits. YG, would you recommend a tea that is bacterially/fungally dominant or one that is balanced?
edit: Just puttin' it out there, but the use of quality matured compost also has a fair effect in the populating the underground and above-ground habitats of microorganisms..

What's up nomaad as the new leaf grows from the root below it is coated with the same cultures that are on the root zone..blasting your plants with oxidate will not completely destroy this culture just as feeding with phosphates a little bit wont destroy it in the root zone. If you blast them with Oxidate and follow up with coating the leaves with MycoStop and BMC your PM problems will go away. The Oxidate will sterilize your plants , the mycostop fungicide will keep the pathogens gone and the life forms in the soil will still be on the leaf. Good luck
Thanks for the input. I think my confusion came along with a desire to do something pre-emptively againts possible PM problems... When you originally posted, I plugged your suggestion into my NEED for a prophylaxis. But you are recommending this as a measure against an existing PM problem... which makes a million times more sense. Projection's a bitch.
Had a dream last night that I found a male full of pollen in my garden on a gusty day. I woke up in a cold sweat as the wind picked up in the dream and all the pollen blew off the male like when you blow the petals of a dessicated dandelion. I had gone to sleep with the oscillating fan on the bed.

lol i bet you woke up in a fuckin panic lol. i hate having dreams that seem so real when you wake up you cant figure out wtf happened lol. i had a dream i was late for work once and jumped from the bed and got a shower and got ready to walk out the door before i realized it was 11 pm and i didnt have to be at work till 6 am not laughing at ya bruh laughin with ya been there before!
