Good to hear. So all I need is the letter of diagnosis from the specialist & and my GP's sig and I'm good to go?

Peace

The GP I use is pro-cannabis and knows the licensing process real well. All he told me was get a letter of diagnosis faxed over to him from my specialist and that's all he needed.

He didn't need the specialist to agree with it, just the diagnosis.

I'm no pro at this just following Dr's orders :)

i just helped someone else with the same sitch,

gp is pro canna, but shrink was pro profit, and kicked him out of the assesment room.

gp signed after the appointment, hes waiting for the results from hc, well see what happens. as long as both docs were seen and at least 1 signs you should be more then a okay, d

Excellent, thanx for the good news. It's still an awful long process tho, sure wish they'd streamline it a bit. That's why there's only 4100 licensees countrywide IMO - since it's a struggle, and very slow - most stick with the "old-fashioned way" of self-providing until murphy pounces in 1 way or another, and then there's no choice.

Baby steps baby steps. Or in my case, itty bitty oldman steps - i will be over the hill this fall.

Hehe sure hope I get licensed before old age takes me...(J/K it's not THAT slow)

things will go faster if the fax is made on the day of signing directly from the docs office, and to call hc and let them know you are responsible for anything they deem needing correcting, peace, d

OK, TYVM once again. I'll see the GP again in early Sept, and he should have a copy of LOD by then. Then I'll take the sheets to him and off they go.

So it goes like this ...

The GP faxes the whole package (A, B2, C & E forms + LOD) to HC on the day of signing to save time, and I call HC right after he faxes it to tell them I am responsible for any corrections/further info needed?

Correct? I just want to get it right the 1st time...

OK, sounds good...all is looking like she's gonna fly.

Ah lightbulb - 1 more Q.... What about the 2 doc-signed ID card pictures if you fax it in instead of mailing? Can they be faxed in too?

Ahhh, I figured the pix would have to be mailed. Not sure on the rest of your post. Here's what I think it says...

I mail in the pix and the forms and the doc should fax in the letter of diagnosis? What's an "OG"? all I can think of is overgrow...ahhh memories... :rasta:

I think I'll just keep it simple & mail in everything, as I live only a couple hours from O-town. A fax is faster, I agree - but the delay in transit shouldn't be more than 2-3 days from my location to Ottawa.

I'd also send it expedited - just for the halibut.

Mailing everything in seems far simpler than faxing some things and mailing others. Might as well just get a copy of the letter from the doc and mail everything off in 1 package, no?

Thanx again for all the help.

I asked my specialist to fax my letter of diagnosis one week ago and he still hasn't done it. I call his office everyday and his secretary keeps saying she will tell him then she will call me back. I've called back 3 times in the last 7 days (he's closed weekends) and still no letter to my GP. I think I might have to book another appointment and talk to him face to face :spanky: because I'm starting to get really aggravated.

I've never seen a letter of diagnosis but I would think it's not that long. I figure it would go something like :

I *doctors name* have assessed *my name* and have come to the conclusion that he suffers from *name of disease* .

Then maybe a bit of other crap he wants to put in there.

A Stamp

Sig

Done

Has anyone ever seen a LOD ? Is it roughly like what I wrote up top ? I don't understand why it's taking so long.

I hate waiting :cuss:

the best way to assure health canada you never forged your plant numbers is by faxing from your doctors office, thats all. so fax all your stuff to hc(minus photos) then mail all the originals, and make copies for you record at home too.

dont know if ive ever saw a l.o.d. book an apt with yer doc, thats the best way, peace,d

Just annoy the shit out of your Dr till he either signs or quits.

LOL,

I found out what was happening as I made a surprise appearance  today at his office.

Apparently he does not type the letter of diagnosis, there's a lady in the office (not the secretary some other girl) that types up the letter and he just signs it.

Well she's on two week vacation, this was her last week. I should have it sometime next week. I told him I'll call again on Monday, and come pick it up myself.

If I don't get it on Monday, I busting out the tent and camping out in front of his office.

Okay, gotcha.

BTW, I am only asking for the smallest exemption offered (1g/day) because that's about what I use, and have used for many years. Will allow me to gro 4 indoors in winter/1 outdoors in summer, and I am happy w/that.

Surely HC will not find this to be a forged or greedy application if I were just to mail it in w/ it's complete? Think it'll still make much of a difference if I do it 1 way or the other?

Still waiting on the LOD at the present time. Can't wait to finally join the "I'm legal" club when all finally comes together, it's all I've wanted from day 1, and that's been a L-O-N-G time... :rasta:

(Edit: i will make copies to keep as well, this I know of)

Update: Assessment from specialist is being faxed to my doc today. I go see him tomorrow and get a copy.

First thing Monday, I ship 'em out expedited to HC...A, B2, C, E2, forms, doc-signed ID pix, and the specialist's letter of assessment. May all go well, and may the ball roll as quickly as possible...

I hate paying for meds, too expensive and supports shady groups...simple self-sufficiency has been my goal since day 1. :rasta:

is that a fact? How are all these guys getting 28-49 plant licenses? You think they will be flagged and their license taken away.
