sweet update Nick, glad to see them doing so well. it seems you are not having any trouble with deers or rabbits eh? wish i could just leave my plants growing out of their baby cages, but when i try it the plant gets killed lol.

well it sure is starting to look like you will be chest deep in buds soon.

I see we're neighbors:wave::wave:
stones throw from Obamaland myself

Guess that makes me neighbors w/ you guys....so lets light one up:smoke out:

I like using bone and blood meal on my indoor grows, but I've been reluctant to try it in an outdoor grow. I guess if you put the blood/bone in maybe during the winter it will give it time to break down, and have the smell dissipate so animals will be less interested in it.

I have noticed that something (deer I think) has been pawing in the mulch on a few of my plants. I think that it may have something to do with my plants being the only moist spots in the cornfield. All I added to my holes this year was fresh homebuilt compost and moisture crystals. Last week I did give them a nice organic topdress with this stuff Plant Booster Plus keeps my plants nice and green. It does contain bone meal and a bunch of other good organic crap but the critters seem to not have an interest in it.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing them flower!

nope no problem with deer or rabbits at all. It seems once they get as big as they are, deer basically leave them alone. You can see by the pics that the area they are in hold alot of good green bushes and shrubs. I suppose they just eat that stuff. But nope not really any problems. Sometimes ill go and see a little side branch that the top looks like it had been biten off. but thats it. :whee:

holy we need like a november meet for some :smoke out: haha.

But growing in the cornfield. I originally started more plants than holes i had hoping to put some out in the corn field. mainly because i feel like cornfield soil already has good stuff in it so i wouldnt really need to amend it. but the more mix the better i feel. But then the turkey vultures attacked my shit and i had to plant my last seedlings in those holes. i think that turkey vulture attack was some random freak accident haha.

This is my first time growing in a cornfield, but so far so good. My plants are growing well with the way I planted them, added aprox gallon of fresh homemade compost mixed with moisture crystals. I am really liking the moisture crystals, it seems like the plants have plenty of water for good growth and I am going longer between waterings up to 2 wks a few times we had a longer dry spell between rains. They have been a tremendous advantage for me this year since it has been quite hot, humid, and not very much rain. The corn was about 4 ft tall when I planted Jul 4th weekend. I think that if you plant in a large cornfield you are safe from the farmers combine if your plants finish before the end of Oct in this area. Most farmers dont start cutting their field corn in my area until Nov. some wait to cut until Dec. especially if the rains have turned the fields very soft and muddy.

I feed them Plant Booster Plus for veg and am going to feed them Indonesian Bat Guano for flowering.

In my limited experience Deer seems to focus on one or two certain plants and leave the others alone. I think some plants just taste better to them. For example I planted 6 plants last year outdoors and the deer nearly totally destroyed one plant and just nibbled the top of one other. My other four plants were a different strain that the deer totally left alone. This year much the same thing they killed one plant this year by pawing through the mulch enough so that it uprooted my plant and killed it, and have nibbled the tops of about 5 branches of another plant (same strain planted 10 ft away), all the other plants they have totally left alone. If you do it next year dont be seen going into/ out of the feild. Then look around for a bare spot where the corn is not growing or not growing well and plant your MJ in that spot, dont damage too much of the farmers crop so you can plant yours. And try and do something to deter the deer since the farmer suffers crop loss from them too, not to mention weather damage.

Would be good to see an update, hope you are safe friend.

I got 3 out of 4 of the sugarhaze in flower. been about 2 weeks now. I pulled one yesterday that wasn't doing a thing. Hadn't even shown a pre-flower yet. Otherwise it's just a matter of time now.
Hope all is well on your end.

No it was really i wild fox i snuck up on in the middle of the woods. i love nature and the outdoors and it was truly an amazing and enjoyable sight. That fox just sleeping there inbetween my plants that ive worked so hard for. it was awesomeee.

The few that are flowering hard i think they will prob be ready right before October. Although the other ones like the jock horror and the mauwi wowi are coming along really slow and i dont think they will be ready until late october.
