How to roll a joint .....with an air gap so there's zero wastage

People always do this in UK/Europe, I don't understand why you wouldn't? Maybe the rolling technique required is different but whenever I've had a joint without a rolled up piece of card (we call this a roach) I get resin lips and obviously can't smoke all the bud in my joint..

i tried a cardboard "filter once" made zero difference.

i roll joints, never "burn my fingers" or "wet the end"

to each his own i guess.

nah, i'm with you bro, i've been rolling bones for over 40 years and i never burn my fingers nor do i get soggy ends although i have smoked with others who did make the joint soggy.

which is why when i'm wrapping joints, everybody gets there own to smoke or slobber over.

and i only use the regular sized sheets too as i learned to roll when there was only one size paper available.

...and i want my joints to taste like ChemD, or Dirty Harry, or High End, or Grand Daddy Purps etc, etc, etc, definately not like tobacco, which is why i never smoke blunts, just tastes like shit to me.

i do this sometimes, but the joint is susceptible to bending easier

same for me bro..
I usually doing an air gap when my joint is almost finished pulling back the filter so dosen't bend..

it's more easy and work in the same way..

i do this, but never thought of pulling it out a bit to create an air pocket, seems like it'd be a weak point in the jay if it has any weight to it and it'd bend down hmmmm....

to the dudes putting tobacco, not for me man, i think it's kinda' nasty more often than not, plus if i have bomb herbs why would i want to alter the taste with tobacco of all things? i don't get it man, although i know quite a few french folks that will only smoke with tobacco mixed in, to each their own i guess, just warn me before i take a huge rip off of it haha *cough wheeze*

I've never had a problem with joints burning my fingers or lips, hell you hardly even have to touch the joint to your lips to hit it. It does suck to get resin all over your lips though. You can always just save up the ends of your joints and when you have enough roll a second gen joint, those things get you nice and high. One time we rolled a joint out of just the roaches of second gen joints, the second you hit the thing you'd get a super intense body rush, it was like nothing I've ever experienced just smoking buds.

Man I have always rolled w/ a piece of cardboard, off the papers box, or a pack of smokes, open the lid and right there on the inside edge, I get 2 outta that and always have a fresh pack w/ me. Before that it was Randy's w/ the wire, and now it's usually the torpedos, pre-rolled cones filter already in. But sometimes I do for whatever reason every once in a blue moon spin up an Aleda no nothing, just a roach at the end. It's not the end of the world, but yeah, everyone always acted like I was outta my mind when I rolled, in fact I have never met anyone that didn't think it was wierd. Always made sense to me....

I also learned to roll when there was only one size sheets available. I normally used OCB's or Tops. 1.0 are staples for me now..unless I break out the Clubs.

And I can toke my doobs all the way down to the nub with no burnt lips. Takes practice and a good clip. Me and my bros all used to carry hemostats all the time. Small ones for running around, and the ridiculously long ones for at the crib.

Cardboard filter tubes kick ass. I have no problem rolling half a gram and a cardboard tube into a 1 1/4 paper.

that right there is the difference between "filter" smokers and those who don't. I can smoke a joint and those watching would think it's a cigarette as it's smoked like a cig...but you can tell those who roll without a filter are smoking a joint from 50 yards away with their elbow up in the air, the loud sucking, hissing sounds, mouth all pinched up like a cats bum and their thumb and forefinger making an O.

I can honestly say, this has never happened to me and I roll with one, two or three small cig papers joined together and super long ones, every which way....try rolling your joints a little firmer and with just an 1/8" air gap. The filter should be rolled tight in the joint, not loose and falling out, so it's not easy to pull out to create the air gap

at least we agree on this...even with filters, slobbering, drooling, wet lip mo-fo's still manage to wet the end, not as bad mind you, but they still can do it....but that's easy to fix if you are at home, simply scissor off 1/4" of the slobbered end and continue smoking slobber free. In Australia, we call those guys, "Bum Suckers"

yep, that's decent looking joint...but what about the little bits of grass that get stuck to your lips every now and then? I really dislike smoking a J with my lips hardly touching the J, it seems hotter and you suck lots of air..yuck.....with a filter you can draw the smoke in much slower and fuller...but hey, each to his own...some people just like the way they've always done things.

I have and I really just don't get the point. Again, I don't burn my lips or fingers, and picking a couple pieces of green off my lips is no biggy, but if you taper your joints down at the end you suck through you don't really have to worry about that anyways.

NOBEL PRIZE, no. Less sticky bits on the lips, yes. We call it a crutch in Hawaii, I can roll with one as fast as any gunslinger,lol. It does make a difference. I actually prefer them, but am not hung up on it.
