Ive never said "I love you dad" to my father..I have however said many, many times to my mother.I agree with cookie monster..If u can't say the actual words..just tell him how ,he has been their for you,and how you appreciate everything he has done for you...At the same time take action and do something ,that shows your appreciation .He will get the point ,parents just understand these things...

i am sorry to hear that man. i hope you can figure it out. I tell my whole family i love them every time i talk to them. Even when we argue we always end on a good note. It makes for strong family ties and a good life over all.

Love between dad and his son is just understood.I only told my dad once and that was when he was in a drug induced coma and i thought he was gonna die.I cant remember him ever telling me either.Anyways the moral of the story is sack up and keep yer lips shut. It's like being busted by the police.keep yer mouth shut and no one will be embarassed. If u tell him then he might feel obligated to tell u. What if he does not love u then yer just putting him on the spot.Be a man keep that shit to yourself.Btw i love my dad and wish i could tell him so.

Okay, wait Thrips. You're telling this dude NOT to tell his dad he loves him b/c it might put pressure on his dad and it's not "being a man," but then YOU say you wish you could tell your dad you love him. Honey, that makes NO sense. I'm sorry you can't tell your dad how you feel anymore but telling this guy not to do what you would very much like to do is frankly, not great advice. :(

One saving grace from before losing my father at a very young age, is the fact we would hug and tell one another how much we loved each other...

Don't let anything get in the way of that :ying:

Just tell him... NOW. How hard can it be , if you really mean it.
I lost my Dad to Cancer a little over a week ago and it was/is hard knowing that I rarely expressed my feelings toward him.
GET OFF YOUR SORRY BACKSIDE AND TELL HIM BEFORE YOU NO LONGER HAVE THE OPTION.

Hey Dad, thanks for being you, you rock! Is all he needs to hear, for him to understand.

Remember that our parents biggest fears are that their sons and daughters cannot talk to them. Tell him bro.

All the best

i just called my dad at work and told him i love him and appreciate everything hes done for me... not only has a weight been lifted but i feel reborn. im going to work harder to get my high school diploma and start living life again... once i clone my @!@$#$(its going to be my first real attempt at cloning and im planning on making a thread for as much help as possible) im going to delete this account and start being a kid again(or at least a young adult)

i wanna thank everybody in this thread(except for the guy that thinks i wanna fuck my dad or the person who brought up the yummybud reference). this thread truly meant alot to me, so much so i cant even explain it in words. i havent cried like this in since i was a kid but it feels good. the support and perspective in this thread was amazing and i feel like such a piece of shit for leaving a nasty comment in krunch's thread when he needed support as i did in this one.

thank you icmag

...he came home from work early and we shared a non-awkward man hug and now we're off to the hydro store for some dip n grow

see you around guys, hopefully some of yall will visit me in my cloning thread when i make it. its going to be rockwool vs coco vs perlite vs coco/perlite vs aero cuz this is my hail mary attempt at cloning and i HAVE to get these fuckers to root

see you around guys and good karma to all

Good job, I knew you'd feel better.
It was probably one of the most touching moments of his life.(your dad)

This is a really heartwarming thread.

I hope PoopyTeaBags and my son can share some father/son trips to the grow store:) I'm happy you addressed this ATM(<--hehehe). I'm sure, coming from a soon-to-be parent...that gesture made his whole year. Good things man:cathug:
