I Just Got Rolled with a 1/2 oz & Still Have It

maybe im on the ignore list but i can keep making fun of him for everyone elses benefit! shit...we even have kaotic doggin sleeps with sheep out...and i just have to point something out...in case you CAN see what my posts say:

I was pulled over by CHP on my way home tonight. I had a couple bags totalling a little over a 1/2 oz under my passenger seat. The cop came to the passenger window and poked his head in the car. I heard him take an obvious sniff as the car was smelling pretty rank. I knew instantly that he knew I had pot in the car.
He told me he stopped me for speeding and asked for the ususal. I had my license, registration & insurance proof. He asked where I was headed, where I was coming from and asked why I was going so fast. I calmly answered his inquiries. He then asked if I had any pot in the car. I said, "Yes I do."
He asked if I had a card. I pulled out the card as well as my original paperwork and displayed them on the passenger seat. The cop asked how much I had. I answered, "Just over half an ounce."
He told me to show him so I reached un der the seat and displayed the 2 sacks. He never touched them. He wanted to know when the last time I smoked was. I told him that it had been about 4 hours. I made sure to let him know I was aware of the current time and could give a timeline as to my actions that evening so he could easily see that I was infact sober.
I made sure to tell him that I was definately not high and that the only reason i had it with me was because I had to get some from a dispensary close to work and that I'm bringing it home. The cop said i was clearly not "stoned" and to be careful pulling back onto the street...He didn't even give me the speeding ticket! I was cool and calm whille we spoke. I didn't give him any attittude. I was real glad I had all the documentation to show... and I'm even more glad to be smokin' on my pot that was being gazed upon by a police officer just minutes ago. Surely a first for me. Just thought it would be entertaining at the least for you guys.

i would like to begin by saying congrats. that is an inspiring story. but did you think that maybe (if you grow) that this could have been leo feeling you out. i've heard about strange traffic stops before a raid. keep yer head up and yer eyes peeled

good to hear man...the card has definately saved my ass a few times during traffic stops.

one point though..you should NOT have admitted to smoking 4 hours prior. You should have said something like..."i havent smoked today at all"

no need to tell them more than they need to know. generally, CHP usually just issues the ticket and lets you on your way. I have been pulled over many times by CHP, and only once did they attempt to search the car. It ended once they found out we had our paperwork and let us go with a window tint ticket.

Of course I completely agree with everyone that I should not have admitted to smoking that same day. It was a tiny gap in my otherwise unlimited supply of cool. Ha! The cop did tell me that if my eyes were red & I looked "all crusty" he would have gotten me for a DWI. So, for the sake of anyone who happens to check this thread looking for advise...do not admit to smoking & getting behind the wheel... and yes, his own words were, "if you looked all crusty..."

Never admit to taking any kind of medication. The cop could have easily given out a DUI. I have a friend that just got a DUI for putting her car in the ditch by falling asleep. When asked if she took meds of any kind she said yes [she takes diabetes and depression meds]. The cop says she was impaired. His word against hers. She probably deserved a reckless driving ticket,but why a DUI? I also know of someone that was being a jerk after being pulled over and the cop said that he was impaired because the guy admitted to having a beer with dinner, that was evidence enough , police said he acted impaired. Both these people tested legal with a breathalyzer.
