The issue is not race, but that these were people who were associated with organized crime and that they stole power. It doesn't matter where they are from, if they are illegal or not, but it DOES matter that they are linked to organized crime where the money LEAVES THIS COUNTRY and goes and gets spent elsewhere. A tanking economy doesn't need a cash control problem. This is the problem that all Americans have with organized crime syndicates from other countries, that a huge portion of our country's money is going outside the country and being used in those countries, when if it went to people who live here, they will spend it here, which will provide jobs for other Americans. It's simple economics and the desire to NOT have organized crime running grow ops.
Organized crime running grow ops, whether in residential areas, or in federal nature/forest preserves puts all of us who live here in DANGER, does damage to our nation's beautiful protected environments, and puts homes and families in danger from the fact that these are violent criminals, that they are stealing power and risking fires, etc. etc., etc. It also gives a bad name to cannabis, and tends to overshadow all the great American-run operations that keep people employed and then give those people spending power which they use to stimulate the economy without borrowing more money from China and mortgaging the future of our children and grandchildren. The last thing any rational person wants is organized crime engaging in the same thing we're all engaging in here. I, for one, do NOT want my activities, which harm no one, to be associated in people's minds with organized crime. This association is one of the main reasons that pot is so controversial. If organized crime were kept out of it, or if it was hard for organized crime to make money b/c of the sheer competition from true professionals who are American (Imagine "Buy American" labels on pot and pot products!), it would be considered more acceptable. Now of course it's stupid and hypocritical that our government realized that prohibition of alcohol meant that organized crime flourished, and that it wasn't working, while not realizing the same thing is true of cannabis prohibition, but that's a subject for another time.
It is unfortunate that some people expressed themselves in such a way that their comments could be construed as making a comment on RACE, b/c in reality, they were making a comment about ECONOMIC SAFETY, PRESERVATION of NATURAL TREASURES that are PUBLIC PROPERTY, and the safety of families and their homes that are then exposed to fire hazards and that could become involved in any drama that ensues from having mobsters living and/or working in their neighborhoods. I'm sorry that not liking these things seemed to be racist. Hopefully this post clarified a little bit.

If you all would take 1/6th of the time you are sitting here bitching about this and put it to work trying to change the laws so we all could grow this great plant , Hell, it would be legal by now.
I see it this way_________ IT IS A PLANT!!!!!! Anyone should be able to grow it just like any other plant. So get your cry baby ass" out there and do something to help, not sit on your ass crying. They got busted over a plant. And if it was legal to grow it they most likely would not have been doing it the way they were doing it.
How many of you have EVER gotten off your ass and went to the court house or any where and tried to help make this legal??????????? I have alot and will keep doing it.
