Both the products i listed worked as stated. They increased density and frost of the buds but the end product simply didnt have the same dank flavor and smell. Not nearly as intense in smell as the buds grown the exact same way in previous grows. They work and do what they say..........just have side effects that I was not aware of. Im with Mr Bojangles on this one. Use them, document a grow then judge the products. Dont make decisions based on what a friend of a cousin's roomate told you over a smokeout session.

sideXside comparison grows are the only to find what works for you!nice one

sprayed the bitches down again 12 hours ago. I used the same spray mix (not a fresh batch).

Once again, i sprayed the bitches down 12 hours ago. I used the same spray mix (not a fresh batch). This will be my final application unless someone can convince me otherwise.

chopped the lemonG's tonight, no noticeable difference, and none of the others appear differently to me.

Upon closer inspection, it does look to have increased the crystals on my 10-11week Cotton Candy pheno. I would say 10-25% maybe. Too bad i dont like that pheno (i just havent had the heart to finally killer her off; i just stopped cloning her).

The Cotton Candy probably has 1 more week.

The 'Locsters' look unaffected too. They have a date with my scissors very soon.

You could also just get fulvic acid and spray it the last few weeks of flower. Brings them crystals out.

I wouldn't spray anything last few weeks of flower.

Tons of people do it with no problems. Yah if you soak the shit out of your buds and your humidity is high then you can get bud rot but from the amount of people I know that do it I've never seen any problems.

You could get more damage from bud rot by having really tight flower structure (and here you thought your crop is going so well) then from spraying.

You're also spraying potentially hazardous chemicals onto plant material that is going to be consumed.

Consuming burnt matter/carbon is already dangerous. You could potentially get ran over by a car any time. You have a better change of burning down your place with the lights then getting hort by some folliar spray.

Your logic is laughable.

Smoking weed is already arguably "unhealthy" so I'm going to spray plant growth regulators on my weed and smoke it. Why not a bus could hit me anyways.

Tomorrow you could get stuck in a swine barn smelling swine asses for a week with nothing to eat but raw swine covered in their own filth. Why don't you get started early?

I agree, the stated logic is ill conceived; hell i dont even smoke, i vaporize, so theres no 'burnt' anything.

Spraying unknown chemicals on any buds is always going to be sketchy, do it at your own risk. I would have preferred at least 3 weeks, but when they are ready, they are ready. My bottle of PM does say 100% organic fwiw.

Upon further review AGAIN, the Locster might be slightly better than her control. For those keeping score at home, that's a probable, a possible, and a doubtful.

Are these products meant to be sprayed? Could that be why you don't get the same affects others say they get?

Purple Maxx Snow Storm Ultra v3 lists 2mL/Gal as the foliar application.

There is no foliar application for Gravity v5.0. The bottle says, "1-2mL/Gal... and run for 5-12 days... a good rule of thumb is to run larger doses for shorter time and smaller doses for a longer time."

I think my foliar doses were sound, if not too heavy (.5mL/qt for both).

FWIW, i didnt notice any 'hardening' effects from Gravity either; however i have not, and will not be, weighing the plant matter comparatively.

To offer a similar growing condition of probable harm, though no real data/immediate evidence...

UV light from MH's are detrimental to your eye sight... esp over time. Each day you expose your eyes to them, w/o protection, it slowly degrades your vision... over a long period of time... little by little, each & every day. The damage is permanent.

No one realizes this as it is happening... shit, what's an hour or so per day, or how ever many... I don't feel/see any direct harm??? It's cumulative.

We are already exposed to toxic, carcinogenic compounds on a daily basis... just living in an industrialized society. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the clothes we wear, the food we consume, practically any product we use... Shit, I'm a male that consumes female birth control hormones... because I drink bottled water... and the tap is worse...??? I mean wtf.

Why knowingly take in more potentially toxic chemicals???

It just slowly accumulates in our bodies... slowly causing cellular mutations... cancer.

Fulvic acid is as safe as it gets.

Smoking anything is bad for you, but fulvic acid is by know means carcinogenic.

Fulvics are absorbed when used as foliar, so there is next to no residue.

Read more in this article.
http://www.hydroponics.com/howtoinfo/hydroponics articles/gold_fulvic.html

This miracle molecule, fulvic acid passes through plants’ cell walls with ease. Fulvic acid acts as a claw or chelating agent attaching to minerals that would otherwise be rendered useless to plants. Essential nutrients and vitamins, which plants may not be able to assimilate easily, will piggyback on the fulvic acid to be transported to all cells that need them. This miracle molecule has incredible potential when used for soil enrichment, in hydroponic applications and as a foliar spray.

The overall increase in plant health and strength is probably the most notable advantage observed from using fulvic acid. Strong plants are more resistant to disease, fungus, mould and insects, eliminating or diminishing the need for pesticide and fungicide use.
More flower sites and stronger stem growth add to the benefits of using fulvic acid in agricultural applications.

You know I always wonder about these types of threads. Some say it works, some call bullshit. And the original post is about nothing but a K supplement to start with...seemingly nothing special there.

Seems to me that whether it works or not depends on what one has been feeding their plants all along. If they were getting sufficient K then the supplement will do nothing, if they weren't then of course it would help.

A truly balanced formula does not benefit from stuff like this. We should all seek to find that balanced formula with minimal supplementation.

Then again I think some people feel special just cause they are using a bunch of "secret" supplements.

hows this for objectivity...

I dont doubt krunch, Bojang, rainman or the others that say its working, they certainly appear to have their (grow) shit together.

But I certainly havent noticed enough results to remember ive got 4/5ths of both bottles left. Maybe my bottles were/are bad. Ive got 4 frosty-as-fuck plants, all the same pheno, that are due Sept 17 (3 weeks). If i can remember, i'll pull one bitch out tonight and soak her down. Ive never seen her as frosty as she is now, this early, if she can improve over the other 3 controls, i'll be amazed and sold.

Does anyone know if a 'snowstorm ultra' or 'purplemax' treated bud has ever won (or been nominated for) POTM?

Ive never seen floaters.

@Bo are you adding it to the substrate, or foliaring? do you mind posting your application rate, and if you re-use your substrate?

I'll spray a few down again, but im not holding out hope.

Ive had 3 bottles of it (purple maxx snowstorm),each and every one has had some type of floater thing in it after opened and stored at room temp for more than a few months.I think something must start growing in their.

On other notes, it does work ,plants that have some purple to them .It changed the whole plant to deep purple within 4 days or so.
Plants like bubba kush / deep chunk, turned completly black color.

It seems to frost the plants up pretty well, but i noticed i could also get similar results from just dropping the temps way down.

If i understand it correctly ,its supposed the make the plant suck up a bunch of nutrients at once from the soil.:artist:
