I've been medical for years and I've had LOTS of cops, CHP, and DHS agents fuck with me. It's not fun and it's a true waste of resources. Most officers I've ever been arrested by..... 18. That's right 18 LEOs to fuck with 1 "legal" med patient....

Do something right. Let's make sure no one needs to suffer the same atrocities I and others have suffered... This is 2010, no one deserves a felony record for mj.

Hmmmm.

So has anyone changed there minds ether way? Nope didn`t think so! I still think Prop 19 is going down in flames in November. Why? Because it doesn`t enjoy enough support.

i'll agree you don't see overwhelming support on the grow sites, pretty remarkable really
but how representative are the grow sites of the California electorate?
the 2 polls i've seen are dead heats, which is pretty wild
i'd say it's a too unprecedented situation, if the economy was in better shape, it probably would go down
but to a lot of people(rightly or wrongly), the tax revenue looks awfully good right now

...read my posts above and in a couple of other threads (I'm sure ya frequent) on this issue troll...it's all there fer ya. I'm done with ya. I'm not interested in keepin' this goin'.....have fun sport.

Fer those that feel that the end of prohibition regulations won't have any affect on Medical......I say it will....not directly yet....but eventually it will make sense to lump it all together....easier to regulate.....easier to prosecute. Just my opinion.

No one would bother to troll you what do you have to offer :moon:.
This is a debate can handle the heat get out of the kitchen

SHenanagins...ive been smoking close to 10 years and i know for a fact its mentally addicting, and a boderline gateway drug. i started smoking early, only smoked weed for a couple years. but when i hit high school years my love for smoking and getting high led me to shrooms, lsd, salvia, meth, coke...i loved hallucinogens.

my little cousin, i messed up. when he was really young like 12, i sort of introduced him to smoking. well freshman year of high school he dropped out because he was smoking everyday. he is 18 now and still doesnt have his degree, and is diagnosed with schizophrenia. and i hate to say it but i know the pot did not help with his situation. i live in the city around hundreds of daily smokers...some are crazy ambitious and manage to get by in life even though they smoke everyday (kinda like myself)...but i know a shitload of my fellow smokers who barely enjoy life anymore because they smoke blunts and couchlock for hours on end, every night, every day. I went into that phase for a year or two too...its too easy. it sounds good on paper, but after sitting on your ass for so long you start to feel guilthy, but its hard as fuck to stop smoking when you are surrounded by so much good bud. Today i wasnt gonna smoke, but i get to my coffee table and theres a nice fat nug of Hinda Kush my roomie left in the community tray....i just had to sneak a bong hit couldnt help myself

besides, the 19 bill still makes possession under 21 illegal so it doenst really matter.

Are you fucking joking? Cannabis a gateway Drug? Causing schizophrenia? If that was true I should be taking every drug under the sun, and be psycho as hell, but maybe because I only smoke Cannabis resin, and not bud I am to stoned to even find the gate?
Never wanted to try meth or coke but glad you lived through it even if you don't seem quite all here.....
Hint it is not Cannabis causing your problems, it is you.

Why are you here then ???

Has anyone seen the documentary "The Union"? They have it on netflix and you can watch it on the instant queue. (We watched it on the wii last night.) A lot of the things that are brought up in this thread are discussed in the movie, such as the propaganda about pot being a gateway drug and the link to scizophrenia. As well as why some people don't want it legalized. The ones who didn't in the movie were all young, flashy, spend it commercial growers who basically were caught up in all the high money life. And there were a lot of interviews that demonstrated how ignorant people about about pot, its history, and the truth about pot that has been covered up by crazy politicians, corporations, and lobbyists for so many years.

What surprises me is when I see that kind of shit here. Are the people spouting it trolls, stupid, or what??

dude, pablo. You are correct about a few things, my views will not change on this, and I am not going to give up on moving the legalization front foward....EVER. I wont be satisfied until weed is federally legal at at least the same level as alcohol. you see it as a soap box, but I see it as a duty to mankind

You have no clue how my state works either. if you did you would know that there is a snowball's chance in hell to do anything here until a few other states have done it first.
They wont even consider a med bill. If cali legalizes then Other states will follow like colorado washington and oregon. Then I can move to one and not have to worry about jail. I dont want to move to cali because it is to damned expensive, and the state it self is fucked anyways. you cant even afford to keep your infrastructure afloat. You guys need money so bad that i cant even make a joke about it. It is truly sad.

Also I am not fear mongering you. I am just sharing the fact of the situation. Prison sucks and is scary. If you are willing to go to prison that does not make other people willing. People shouldnt have to walk on eggshells to grow.

Also the taxes collected from the bill DO NOT GO TO MILITARY. They go directly to california's education system. WHICH IS GOOD. becuase only smarter kids will make a smarter country.

For being born in 66 you do not show any knowledge of how progress in america is in small steps; or that you need delayed gratification, and the ability to compromise.

I would like a better bill too. If this one passes then it will be exponentially easier to get one. Thats how government works, but you dont remember that.

or it seems like fear of change to me. it is a normal behavior of middle aged men. It is called being stuck in your ways. It happens to the best of us man. It will happen to me, I just hope some one points it out to me when it does.

also the reason you dont like the way I talk is because I am using a lot of psychology. It cuts deep when it's true. lol sorry text tells alot. You are right about me not being to happy with my situation. Uou were wrong about me not being an activist. that i am.

Also you asked if I even grow, and yes I do a few harvest a year for the last 10 or so years, to provide my own medicine. I have a bad stomach condition, and the stress of the crazy laws here makes it worse at times. I choose pot over the opiates my doctor gives me because I dont want to be an addict.

you said it man!

It is NOT a gateway drug. A lack of education, and parent involvement is what leads to hard drugs in normal kids. Believe me I know. My home town is famous for rich latch key kids O.D.ing on heroin and meth. I knew a lot of kids who are dead because of it.

Also I have smoked pot since I was in 7th grade, and the only other things I ever did were shrooms and some lsd. And I didnt abuse them either. It is good for mind expansion to do them a few times.

why didnt i try hard drugs? my nurse mother showed me pics of rotted out heroin arms, and told me about how a guy she treated in the hospital ran out of veins so he started shooting into his cock, or eyeball, which he had gone blind in.

but i dont know if the blindness was from the needle or playing with his junk too much.... lol

reality education for kids works.

Come on Hash - The fact is that California's education system is broken beyond repair. Mostly due to unions, bureaucrats and central planning.

Giving this fucked up education system more money will NEVER better educate anyone. Charter schools routinely pass better educated students with less money all the time.

More money for the schools is a typical progressive talking point that carries no basis in fact.

It is NEVER good to give more tax dollars to a broken government run system. Ever.

thats right!!!!

school system is broken we should just shit her down. maybe sell the school houses to growers. but ffs if the school system is broken dont put money into it. just stop school. if you cant afford private school? we will pay for those idiot children with more welfare and prison costs.

Prohibition is the gateway drug, not marijuana. Kids see the prohibition that surrounds all the drugs, how bad the all are, then when they try marijuana for the first time they don't die.. They aren't harmed in any way. So they think hard drug propaganda is a lie too, but it isn't..

Prohibition, and lies is the gateway that leads from marijuana to any other drug.

At the guy that gives drugs to 12 year olds, yea dude your fucked up. Kids shouldn't be using drugs no matter what kind they are. Their minds are still developing, and they don't need anything interfering with that, especially some stupid fuck pushing shit on them.

SHenanagins...ive been smoking close to 10 years and i know for a fact its mentally addicting, and a boderline gateway drug.

What was the first mind-altering substance you ever tried? I'm going to guess it was sugar unless your mom was a crackhead. I'm also willing to bet that you drank a caffeinated beverage, smoked a cigarette or drank a beer before you ever tried cannabis.

So... sugar is the gateway drug.

Coca-Cola is the gateway drug.

Cigarettes are the gateway drug.

Beer is the gateway drug.

Crack-filled breastmilk is the gateway drug.

Here's the problem with the whole "gateway" theory:

The gateway theory is that trying a relatively harmless illegaldrug will lead to more harmful illegal drugs. By legalizing it, you have rendered marijuana no longer an illegal drug... so it can't be a gateway, unless of course alcohol, caffiene and sugar are also gateway drugs.

People who are willing to break the law in order to alter their consciousness in order to smoke fall into a certain type of person... namely, the kind that is willing to break laws in order to alter their consciousness.

It isn't the cannabis that is causing you to experiment with other drugs. It's your own basic temperament and wiring.

i started smoking early, only smoked weed for a couple years. but when i hit high school years my love for smoking and getting high led me to shrooms, lsd, salvia, meth, coke...i loved hallucinogens.

I never smoked in highschool.. didn't start smoking at all until I was about 20 and guess what my first illegal drug was?

LSD.

I was a straight and narrow guy, didn't smoke, didn't drink, didn't get high, and then I tried LSD.

Since thenm, I've tried shrooms and salvia and smoked a helluva a lot of herb. No interest in coke or meth or heroin. At all.

Been smoking herb now for about 15 years. Haven't taken LSD or mushrooms or ecstasy in many years.

Offered free drugs (like coke, meth, heroin) on a semi-regular basis... turned them down every time.

If he's schizophrenic, it is likely that he would not have graduated and would be having many issues. Schizophrenia is not caused by smoking herb.

Also, what you've described would continue to be illegal if you vote yes. This law aims to protect children from exactly what you did to/for your cousin.

besides, the 19 bill still makes possession under 21 illegal so it doenst really matter.

Beer is illegal for those under 21, too. Did you really think it would be different?

You know, we probably should shut all the public schools down... educating people for free, run by the government and paid for by taxes?

Sounds like more socialism to me!

Where's the tea party movement when you need them?

Down with education!

(If you can't tell, my tongue is firmly in cheek here.)

Besides the obvious of being turned on to harder drugs due to purchasing on the black market, the easiest way to blow the gateway theory out of the water is simple math.

(2008) More than 102 million Americans have tried marijuana; 15.2 million Americans are estimated to be "past-month" users. Yet there are only an estimated 1,855,000 "past-month" users of cocaine and 213,000 "past-month" users of heroin.

So if Cannabis was a gateway drug...there would be more drug addicts. The math doesn't support TGT.
