When I moved to Boulder, the word "Doberman" was like a racial slur, landlords would hang up on me when I would ask about renting. Most didn't even care about me being in the MMJ biz, they just didn't want Doberman. I had one landlord tell me they couldn't rent to me because children live in the neighborhood. How did she know that I feed my dogs children?

I know lots of awesome pits, they can be some of the most playful and loyal dogs, any breed specific legislation isn't getting to the root of the problem: irresponsible dog owners, regardless of the breed.

either way I doubt it's pits, rots, dobermans, ect.. When Idiots have dogs, the dogs usually pretty dumb too.. ( not that that can't be fixed by a new owner)

BTW thanks for the advice on that revegging white clone folks.. She started throwing 5 fingered leaves yesterday. Tried to cut out the parts that were flowering, and that seemed to help it revert faster, I think.

They are such good dogs, I love my pit.. Shame that they punish the dogs and not the owners. The one thing I will say though is if you have a "game" bred pit you better really have a grasp on training dogs, those animals are beasts.

Yeah, my dog is a pig hunter and a fighter. Pure game lines, and this is why I understand the people who want to ban even though it's not the right solution, and I even think a dog license might be a good idea sometimes. I hate the idea of gov't intrusion of course, but you are correct that you need to know dogs, and know the breed to be a good owner. It's not like owning most dogs. Luckily, mine has a friendly and playful disposition. :) But, I feel this is the case with many dogs, Rotts, Dobies, Akitas and many other breeds can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Pits just have the limelight right now...

Revegging looks pretty funky, I know. The plant goes through stages where it doesn't even look like a cannabis plant anymore, with smooth edged single-blade leaves. But the clones taken from that plant will grow bushier with tighter nodal spacing.

Soooooo, now that you got that White revegged, you gonna be taking cuts off her soon???? wink, wink....

I think there should be a license to BREED dogs, and these backyard breeders should be shut down, their poor choice in breeding stock creates bad lines (much like cannabis!). There is an over-population of dogs in general, thousands of dogs get put down everyday in shelters, and most of those dogs are the so-called "Kill Breeds", i.e. Rotties, Dobies, Mastiffs, German Shepards, Pits, Akitas, etc.

Pits have the limelight today due to the "gangsta" image that has made it prevalent. In the 70's it was my choice of breed, the Doberman, that was subject to hysteria. I've heard it all, their brains will swell and they go crazy, they can turn on their owners, they are viscious and can't be trusted around children, blah, blah, blah...nothing could be further from the truth. I have raised my dogs with strong love, affection, discipline, and positive reinforcement. They have been well socialized, and have actually travelled the world with us. Our dogs have been in Amsterdam with us!!! LOL...people see our dogs and they think wow, doberman must be good dogs, I want one...we have to explain that this is not the nature of this breed unless it is given a good loving home with structured discipline.

The two most referenced books I have are the Jorge Cervantes bible and Caesar Milan book, lol!

Exactly...thats why I don't care much for these "Cannabis" expos, really just marketing expos for dispensaries and shit. If they were featuring real grow equipment, breeders, etc. I would be interested...

I'll be out west later this month for the real grower's expo...

I'm heading up at around 1PM. If any of you ARE going (GMP, you cannot swing a dried out root ball at these things without hitting an uber-hot girl in booty shorts) let me know and maybe we can meet up.

And it's $20. You guys spill more than that packing bowls :) -Joe

Tortola is where one of those pictures is. Tortola is great, but I'd stay on St. John, pretty much the entire island is a national park. That = the best snorkeling I've ever done hands down and way less people. It's only a twenty minute ferry ride from st. John to Tortola. Also staying in the BVI is great, but the USVI has more err... "American" standard accomodations.

Gee, forcing herm...to get seeds, I presume. I guess I am in the minority, wanting tons of seeds for nutrition and medicine in the same bite.

I'm hoping for girls and boys in my seedling group, right now. Where could I learn more about forcing hermaphrodites? I want to learn it all, and I've already learned to be patient, which has been a valuable lesson for me.

We just returned home from the dispensary. I just couldn't part with $60 for a clone, when the seeds can be obtained for about $3 each. I can see that once I get the hang of growing, I'm going to be a medicine snob like others here. Lahaha.

Peace and healthy green hugs,

Joe's RMCC Review: Friday Afternoon

Joe's RMCC Review: Friday Afternoon

We just got back from the event and it was underwhelming.

There were a few booths that were cool -- Urban Dispensary has an actual cross street sign at their booth that is 38th and Clay, which is their actual location -- clever and creative. They basically moved their shop to the convention. Very cool.

There are a good number of uninspired looking "peripheral" business folk there selling software solutions, plastic injection-molded Bic mods that will turn your lighter into all kind of dangerous and useless implements.

There are politicians all over that place.

There appeared at one point a woman in a bikini that was a sudden distraction to the flow of things, but then she just assimilated with the other people handing out cheap digitally printed come-ons.

Downtown is beautiful. I had my first Cheba Hut sandwich over on Champa. Cubano, the best. I know, I should have checked that box a long time ago. I met one of the partners there, again, and they are just nice people.

Anyhow, it was delicious and the people who work there, first class. I want to just put this out there, but anyone know how to get a Cheba Hut sangie named after a strain? :)

Just putting it out there. To the Universe.

Anyhow, that's my review of the RMCC on Friday, July 9th 2010. -Joe
