See here's the thing, I doubt many of the users of this board have misconceptions about the symbols on this list the author put up. Kind of like putting up a thread about how cannabis isn't really bad for you.

Ill elaborate alittle, misunderstood subjects however are often misunderstood deliberately for a reason tho.
Regarding 420.
Misunderstood by: cannabis activists and the cannabis community in general
Why?: This is a culturally sensitive subject, traditionally the 19th of April is the day when major subjects are protested. Because that was the day the protestant movement was started according to official records. April 19th would later become a historical day of tradition in Europe when the people would protest different injustices subjected upon them by the ruling classes.. kind of.. it was also used by different political groups. The day became known for uproar and revolt.
Americans you should know that the American civil war and the American revolutionary war was both started on April the 19th. Historical events like this on April the 19th are worldwide, the list is too long, too important. Now April the 19th is more then this tho its got even longer historical connections then what only covers the period post protestant movement.
420 then came about because cannabis farmers were not allowed to protest along with "good" christians in the protest parades. Cannabis became, as we all know and ill not go into this story, known as the devils weed. Much of the propaganda towards cannabis was pushed through religious channels, 419 was a day historically where the people protested the powers that be but ended up being highjacked by the church and political parties.
So 419/420 is THE major historical day to know about for the oppressed people of this world. The days has historical connotations that is both religiously and politically potent today and most likely in the future aswell. Its about everything that civil rights is and more.
.. sumup, in order to understand 420 .. one must know 419. A day for major historical events which goes back into biblical days actually. Its too much for me to sum up, but 419 is an important day also in an astrological connection. This astrological and religious perspective of the day goes back to epic days, long before protestantism.

I came to the thread because the title caught my attention only to be disappointed by the childish content and assumptions and then by the thread starter's attitude. Is that clear enough for you guy?
