According to MSNBC, 17,500 NG troops have already been activated and more than 81,000 square miles are now off limits to fishing.

But to crumple to the ground in anguish...please...
Had she not lived around the ocean long?

That's pretty heartless. This shit down here is going to destroy a way of life. Maybe you should come down here and help clean up and talk to some of the locals. You need a big dose of perspective.

lmao

there was a tar factory in pensacola bay we are used to tarballs.

when a woman sees the beach where she raised 5 children and seven grandchildren...where her husbands ashes are spread...where she was married
covered in slicks of oil 2 feet deep yes she cried..yes she crumpled

and no she has never lived near the "ocean" we laugh at tourists who call the gulf the ocean.

she has lived on the gulf her entire life as did her mother before her and so on for a hundred generations.

i would tell you to fuck off and call you an ignorant piece of human offal...
but ignorance is rampant in this day and age and its probably your parents fault for raising you wrong...so ill just pitty you and wish it could have better for you.

Look, you can throw you snide shit at me all you want to, and most folks in here will back you up on it..no matter what sort of nasty language or names you would call me...your anger is justified in their eyes.
But basically, fuck off.

See, Casino beach never did see a slick "2 feet deep". It didn't happen that way at Casino beach. And on or about the 23-25th of June, a cleanup crew cleaned the majority of the slick that washed in, up. And it has not returned, and the beach was reopened.
Now, do we have a mess that is beyond what we have had before? Sure we do, and nobody has denied that. But what we also have is opportunity for the emotional basket cases to make things far worse than they really are.

I wonder if your aunt was damning herself, while she was all crumpled down in anguish, for the lifestyle she chose to live that created the demand for this oil?

And yes, the majority of tar and oil that washes up in FL is not from this spill. Or perhaps you know something I don't?
You do realize that the largest contributor to free flow of crude into the ocean (get over your gulf self, jr..it's an ocean) is natural seepage? By a large margin natural oil seeps far outweigh all the rig spills and drilling incidents of the earth put together.

How about you, dagnabit...you gonna change your lifestyle now? I'm not talking about little token things that amount to nothing, but a real commitment to divesting yourself of all things petroleum?

Heartless my ass. Just what sort of response should I give? I don't understand how the thing works with people who lead their lives with nothing but their emotions to guide them. Should I say that my heart is quite saddened by the lady's emotional response?
It was simply another emotional overreaction being described.

I ask you...is Casino beach covered in oil today? Is it closed?
Do you think the world ended from the first bout of oil that hit it?
Or was it cleaned up so life could go on?

who could have imagined that a 20 inch hole could destroy the world
Good grief...now the world is doomed.

People, do get it together and dry your tears. Tears never did shit for anybody or anything. Try a little sweat for a change.

See, Casino beach never did see a slick "2 feet deep".

thats where the news cameras were..
now lets talk about slabs, chicken bone or even fort pickens?

you obviously have absolutely no clue about the area your just typing to type..good for you.

It didn't happen that way at Casino beach. And on or about the 23-25th of June, a cleanup crew cleaned the majority of the slick that washed in, up. And it has not returned, and the beach was reopened.

not quite but when you get your info from pnj what do you expect?

Now, do we have a mess that is beyond what we have had before? Sure we do, and nobody has denied that. But what we also have is opportunity for the emotional basket cases to make things far worse than they really are.
we?

what we?

i guess you would not understand the coolest thing in hoosierville is mount baldy or gary LOL

mother..
jeebus reading comprehension is a lost art..but again probably parents not you...
and yes she was to an extent..

And yes, the majority of tar and oil that washes up in FL is not from this spill. Or perhaps you know something I don't?
apperently a helluva lot...

that being said this will be the second time ive called bullshit on this rectal statistic please provide evidence or desist this preposterous drivel.

You do realize that the largest contributor to free flow of crude into the ocean (get over your gulf self, jr..it's an ocean) is natural seepage? By a large margin natural oil seeps far outweigh all the rig spills and drilling incidents of the earth put together.
on a geological time scale your numbers work......a more realistic comparison is the past 20 years. sport,bucko,chief,guy,friend,dude...shall we dispense with the pet names?

How about you, dagnabit...you gonna change your lifestyle now? I'm not talking about little token things that amount to nothing, but a real commitment to divesting yourself of all things petroleum?

never suggested anyone should but if you took the time to read the thread you would see i think we do share most of the blame for creating demand

Yep, there you have it folks....hoosier has spoken....there is nothing else to say.

He is of course 100% right, as always...everyone else either has their heads up their leftist asses, or is too governed by their emotions to be rational.

He knows what is happening in the Gulf better than the folks who live there, and can assure us all that the effects from this will be all gone in a few short years, so let's keep drilling away.....just like he knows that there is no deforestation problem, and natural seeps are soooo much worse than the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

Can't you see folks....yer all wrong...only hoosier is right....

So let's all listen to him, shan't we?

none was asked for or needed

People, do get it together and dry your tears. Tears never did shit for anybody or anything. Try a little sweat for a change.

sadly your mistaken..

some people need to grieve for loss before rebuilding...me? not so much. i dont understand alot of emotions but i understand the need for people (especally women) to express them...i think it comes with maturity... empathy. maybe it comes from years of marriage...

but pride is a motherfucker and even though you know you were being dick and completely wrong you will continue to defend your indefensible position......

good luck to you....
i have no need for willfull ignorance in my world:tiphat:

A group following me would be in far better shape than a group following you, genkisan.
Folks following people like you end up in the killing fields.

Yeah, transplants living near the sand sure have a much better perspective on things.
And no, this does not effect the rest of us, and it only effects the people on the sand.
We inlanders should not even be concerned, right?

And dagnabit, just because you don't know the facts of an issue does not make it preposterous drivel. :dunno:
Study up, jr.

Actually, folks following me will end up deep in the Kanukistan bush, with a nice off-the-grid house and tons of dope to smoke.

And folks following you will end up inheriting a toxic, depleted wasteland, since you and yer type can't control your infantile greed and selfishness for the sake of future generations.

Oh, and just a hint, hoosier...if you don't know the facts of an issue.....go fucking well learn them or shut the hell up.
It saves you from looking like an arrogant, ignorant asshat.

Perhaps the emotional aspect of this issue should be banned, as much as the political aspect was banned?

last response to you...like i said willfull ignorance.
if you cant be bothered to READ THE FUCKING THREAD how can one assume you have bothered to fact check a single thing you ever posted.

seriously the thread is open and in front of you and you cant even get the context of it correctly!
that being the case your credibility is not only suspect but downright laughable at best...

good luck to you in all your endeavors and per our pms you know where to find me about my nose ;)

if you decide to better your reading comprehension skills we could continue our conversation but i wont hold my breath.
