ken's granddaddy

I'm gonna try and resurrect an old one...

So I've had a group of ken's GDP hanging around, with an overall lack of space in my grow in recent months. For a round or two I chose to run the higher yielders and put the purps off to the side. I ended up throwing them all in 5 gal buckets and letting them get big - now on day 21 the biggest one is 5'6... I know from seeing others' grows that it's best to run this cut in a SOG type setup, but I think that these might do alright for me yield wise. However they do I'm just happy to have some flipped, at this point I haven't smoked GDP in over a year and I'm fiending. They're just starting to put out that grapey skunky funk...

I can't say from personal experience with Ken's GDP Lloyd, but she seems to share a similar structure to a few cuts here. The plants that grow in that typical apical manner generally benefit from a longer veg time and multiple topping, atleast for me.

Although with the "long" veg time of the GDP ( and most of the purple strains), I'm not sure if topping might slow down the growth noticeably just from the recovery.

Don't have any personal experience with GDP though man, wish I could be more help but atleast I can offer insight.

I can say you gotta veg that lady out I also top but that's me you want a bush of her she really doesn't stretch so a bush she must be in soil I fed her foxfarms with gravity at the end and in hydro I fed her lucas 8ml micro 16 ml bloom with gravity at the end.I did this with 2 months veg and got 6 ounces from a 400 watt scrog a pic of her may be in my gallery somewhere

She needs to be topped early and then pruned to 6 main branches. Veg till those branches are a foot tall and flip. Co2 is a must to get her to yield. 1.5 lbs per light pretty easy...

Ken's GDP.. Slightly slower than Urkle IMHO. Funny, mine looks nothing like yours. It just seems different.. She is a squat, very indy dom, leafy beast that is a pain to trim and who's smells and trich profile don't seem to give away her smoke. Her buds are short, fat nugs. Once cured, she is surprizingly better in flavor and stone then one would have predicted. This is from Ken Estes.

Kens GDP is also known as purple dragonfly.
Ken owns a club called that also.
I believe there is one in the bay area.
Stay peacefull

Edit--
I also believe that the reason your seeing so many fake cuts is because DJ's genetics as well as Soma have the purple kush/OPT in them and strains like Lavender and Bluemoonshine smell, taste, and look very similar.
Having smoked and grown all of the above I can tell you without a doubt they share a common gene.

You really think that DJ isn't the originator of those genes? That purple kush and whatever else haven't used DJ's genetics? He's been growing since the 70's mind you..
