thanks bro, yeah i had a feeling that wasnt the right kind of mold lol.

I did wipe the lid down, but i realized the medium setting on the heating pad was too hot too late. that really evapped all the moisture, the bottom of the compost was bone dry.

time to find some baby oats/read throught the yahoo group and do this again. man that shit sure attracted the flies.

smartpots are a great idea. but goddamn- make the exteriors white/neutral! so much heat sucked in by the black. warmth is good for roots to a point, as is drying out the soil. but not that much. guess it doesn't matter w/ that size and due care.

oh yeah- how much straw mulch did you use? a truckload? holdy shit. it's actually reflecting sunlight from the ground! BAM! it's in your eyes!

great garden! 300gals will do you well... see you in the fall!

floater, the higher soil temps cause a lot of good microbial action. T

he light that you are saying is "BAm"in your eyes is also BAM in the plants photoresponsive cells "Eyes" so to speak and they love how bright it gets. Its like a nice ground reflector

Sunglasses are a requirement if you want to enter Jah Jah new garden...average night temps been 47 since i put em out ...Roots are building. I'm sure once it gets hot they will just start sucking up water and balance things out..if it gets hot..and warm at night.. on the plus side I only have to do a little bit of work to set up for next year and this spot is done "gucci" as a great grower puts it...

lookin great man!

how do you connect the hip board to the pvc? just thinking even with pilot holes that screws might split the pvc? obviously if thats what you did then it works. i dont know ive never tried it.

i was thinking of bending pieces of rebar in big open hooks and hanging them from the hipboard by ropes. instead of rolling up and clamping to the sides to allow venting, you just set the bottoms of the sides into the hooks.

Yes I have started to flower the hoop house. I just screwed the 1x4s on..Don't screw in to PVC early in the morning and you shouldn't have a problem...This structure is temporary..single serving type deal. Next year I will have my light dep in a different style..

Sweet guess where going to see some bud porn here real soon. What strains are you forcing right now. Is there a difference in how tight the buds get flowering now with the more intense light compared to normal flowering in the fall?

I'm doing all bomb threat in the light dep. I think the buds are a little bigger and the resin is more quality due to the time of year they come in

haha ok ok i know. just that my indoor stays green even after a long cure. the crappy outdoor i grew on my first half assed attempt turned a golden hue after a long cure. still the outdoor silver buddha has always been a better smoke than the indoor, eventhough it didnt look as pretty.

this grower told me he could spot outdoor a mile away by its golden tinge or something due to the sun bleaching out the buds. the outdoor bud shots ive seen here, i couldnt tell it was grown outside. so is the "goldening" of the outdoor i grew last year a result of poor growing on my part or ?

It has to do with the strain being grown and how it was dried, cured, and stored.

They sure have turned around since it stopped being 38-45 degrees at night.....Yay..I hope they double in size by the end of July...A friend of mine last year had a Bomb Threat in his yard about the average size of mine and they were all 2 pounds and my D.O.G are they size they were when they came in at 1-1.5 LB each...Not bad considering they're going to grow for 6 more weeks before they take off :) Not going to be the biggest year, but I had a horrible spring up here!! Next year I'll have hoops over all my rows and a light over each plant and go directly in to the 300s..
