it actually was kind of annoying. i didn't think these would get bigger than 24". one of them is coming up on 3 feet and the others are at 2 feet. i wanted to see how they would turn out indoors but now i'll have to let nature do it for me.

had to start a new grow. the low ryder 2 fems grew too big and somehow were pollinated. i moved them outside and out in the open. can't really check up on them whenever i want. i'm doing a grow with 20oz cups. i liked what happened the last time with 16oz cups. the plants didn't get too big and they didn't stay small, perfect for my smaller sized grow box. the strains i'm doing this time are mi5, sour 60, and blue streak.

here's the seeded low asis. getting some nice seeds established.

i started a couple of plants that i will keep close to my home. so i can have some outdoor buds around the end of august. the low ryders and sour's were germed around the last week of may and the snow ryder about a week later.

these are two feminized low ryder #2. these are both in 12x12x12 square pots. i think they end up holding 4 gallons of soil.

these are three regular sour 60 seeds. hoping to get two females. these are are a 5 gallon pot.

and the last two are feminized snow ryders. one is in a 12x12x12 square pot and one is in a regular three gallon pot.

just cut down the three jems that i put outside awhile ago. i found around 12 seeds. should be feminized because these girls were stressed badly and had a few naners. i moved the 3 sour 60 and the 2 lr#2 out into the wilderness this afternoon. the snow ryder are still too small and are hanging out in the tomato patch. i just put 20 sour 60, 12 mi5, 10 lr#2, and 5 master low seeds in water to germinate. i'll be putting some sour 60's and mi5's out in a new spot i found to see the results i get from an auto in a field with only about 8 hours of direct sunlight.

the blue streak seeds that i ordered from seed boutique took a shit on me again. this is the second time it has happened to me. the first time they didn't germ. the second time i tried them again and had good results. i just ordered some for the third time in april to use for an outdoor grow with them. none of them germinated. they were really small and shitty looking. it's a good thing i have about 250 true blue streak seeds that just finish, around 300 lr#2xblue streak, and about 400 blue streak x low asis. basically i am set for seeds for years. still very unhappy about the fact that i won't have any outdoor blue streak this year. the blue streaks and blue streak crosses i have now need about 1-2 months of sitting before they'll germ.

yeah. i've tried germing seeds after a week of drying, never had any success. they generally take 1-2 months of sitting around before they will germinate.

here's the babies. there are only mi5's and sour 60's. the blue streaks were garbage and a waste of 50 dollars.

here's the seeded low asis with the low asis male. the male was awesome and this female is nice. awesome smell and lots of trichomes. these will be some very potent seeds. they are about a week and a half from full maturation.

here's the grow box. almost all of the bigger plants have been sexed and they're all female except for two of the sativa looking plants. i'm questioning whether they are even autos. the small guys are 3 lr#2, 2 master low, and 4 Mi5. had some little fruit fly looking bastards flying around in there, saw a few crawling in the soil. i sprayed the plants with sevin 3 days ago. no more flying things. boy, i'll tell ya, i sure love sevin. whether your plants are outdoors or indoors this stuff works fast. it cleared my spider mites on my outdoor big ladies in a week.

Sounds like you have soil gnats. They live and breed in the soil. You may need this stuff that you pour in the soill to kill them. That's where the young ones hatch at. I had these things before and they suck... Hard to get rid of it seemed like. All caused by fox farm soil we bought...

Aye..I just got a batch in the crap compo.
Apparently they do not heat the compo to the temp it used to go to now..so lots of people are finding bugs that would normally be killed in the heat process.

That sevin sounds good m8..spider mites can be a problem here Outdoor...if they get in the glass house I will have a job getting rid of them.
Most things that will kill red spider would make the buds unsmokable..

Way to go with the seed-making.
Some lovely overheads on the girls too.

Have a great weekend m8.....:joint:

Fungus gnats love wet soil. The best control is Gnatrol, or its other product names available at greenhouse supply stores. It is a bacteria that interferes with digestion and kills the little bastards. Totally organic, effective. Also I picked up a tip from someone here at the forums. Spread a thin layer of sand on the top layer of your soil. The little buggers don't like the grit. That goes for outside and slug control too.
