Get spinosad. Use weekly. BT too. Two pronged attack is better than one. Good luck.

I do all my pest control foliar spraying in the evening and feed foliars in the morning. I was not consciously looking out for the bees, but it works out that way.

so are all these sprays you are all using for pests and such organic? Made for plants that will be ingested? just wondering, i see a lot of stuff that scares mee for sure

I've been lurking in this thread and have been really been enjoying it. Thanks guys!

I have a question about what TJO said about pesticides being ingested. Does ingested mean eaten or does it also include smoked?

Also, if the plants are sprayed in veg with something nasty, say Malathion (sp?) or DDT (not that I'd ever use either) does is remain in the bud that wasn't there when sprayed? Besides that, as farmers, why would one want to work in an area where that has been used let alone use it in your home/backyard? Ya got me? I think organic pest control is largely over looked. In the supermarket we pay more for organic food and it is usually uglier than it's pesticided counter part. In our market however we will not survive with an uglier product, let alone get more for it.

The answers for now are pure speculation but please speculate away. I don't think any real concrete data will be had until it's legalized and regulated and some real tests are done. Not these phony pot lab tests.

I am not an organic farmer but do stick to organic pest control for the most part because I feel the real danger lies in the pesticides, not the inorganic salt based ferts. I don't have a pest problem unless I get lazy but then again I am not growing monster plants that are alive for 9 months. Food for thought anyways, thanks again guys, keep those pics coming.

omri is cool, but i have a lot of stuff i bought that was omri that still had negative effects on the soils and plants overall health.

stickwith teas and worms....im surprised you guys are having pests already? The more salt and ammonia in your soil the more pests so be carefull with the sodium based stuff you guys might use

An over abundance of Manure is the usual attraction for Boring worms in their younger stages. Maybe a pocket of Poo in your beds attracted a mom who laid some early season eggs/Larvae. See if it's localized and maybe stir the soil to see what's around.

both spinosad and BT are beneficial bacteria.

what is this dino juice about????

Haha,:)
It's a compost of worm castings that have fossilized whale and dinosaur bones and many other unique and rich ingredients.
Some ingredients are sustainably harvested guanos from Texas,Philippines,Indonesia,Chile,Peru, and Belize. Micronized crystal of:quartz, amethyst, citrine, aquamarine,Baltic amber,Colombian Copal, moonstone, petrified wood from Indonesia,Utah,Arizona and Africa. Topaz, tourmaline, jade and tons of other ridiculous things from alpaca poop to molasses.:)
We use it for topdressing, foliar spray or a tea.

It isn't too late to apply Foundation 1-0-1 if you are deciding to use it. It is most effective for use in early veg when they're establishing and early flower when they're setting up with a final dose before harvest...
