the deathstar in colorado is different then the deathstar they are talking about on this thread.

so can you buy this seed anywhere??
or do i have to go out there and buy sd and star seed to make it myself?

Well this would obviously be completely different. But first you will have to find some original Chemdawg and East Coast Sour Diesel both are clone-only or only available in S1 (which most S1's are hard to make hermi or force pollen unless using collidal silver). But the results will always vary because no-matter what the genetics will be slightly different, and you can never tell what will be passed down though a genetic line unless you're selectively breeding or cubing, which takes a long time, Plus you'd still need the original to even start comparing the traits that were passed down into this strain. It's amazing how this strain turned out, and it was by a very good breeder. Team Death Star's technique is definitely one of great skill, and it would be a serious undertaking to try and re-create this strain.

The death star I just grew looks exactly like the pnes in high times, and it's pretty awesome. I'm not a noob at growing or breeding... so if you want to say because I grew my death star in colorado that it isn't a death star then that's ok too.

thats not it at all. we know that there is another strain in colorado that is called deathstar. its not the same trust me. were did you get it form.

Deathstar where are you ???

Deathstar where are you ???

Ever since hightimes did the Deathstar issue I have put the word out to every single person I know. I even spent a weekend in Vegas looking for it. Talking to every person and grower I could find. No one had it or no one was telling me who had it. I would l0ove to get just one cutting and then everyhone could have it. What good is a strain if everyone cant experince it? I cant stand when people hoard awesome strains and keep it locked up to just s few close friends. I was just given a Strawberry cutting and It was not supposed to get out. I actually got three. All three are goiung to be mothered and spread out to every collective and friend and anyone who wants one. I will flood the market with it. I can grow some good buds to and I am going to sell it for next to nothing just to spite all the hoards out there. So let me get a Deathstar and I will make sure every collective in Ca has Deathstar, it might take me six months tpo get cuttings to every city but it will get there. People tried ot do the same thing with the Alien Dog and the first thing the guys said was dont give this to anyone and I said oh yeah sure Ill keep it to myself. 4 months later I had taken over 300 cuttings to Losangeles and gave them away and now my friends down there are mothering and giving them away. I will spend a ton of cash to make sure whats being hoarded will not be . Everyone should be able to have the best strains not just certain people that want to make $5k a lb for it. Its so greedy. You can still gvet $3400 for well grown weed. I am looking at making a website called strain sharing.com or clone trading .com . There is a Clonetrader on Twitter but no offense but I cant figure out how to trade cuttings on there. But they have the right idea. I would to even have freeclones.com and make free cuttings by the 100's and just give them away and maybe have advertising pay for my time since I cant afford to make cuttings all day and have a full time grow on my hands. But either way Share your cuttings and if you have Deathstar give it up and let your friends have it and also tell me where to get.

let everyone else do the work to get a great strain. if you worked you ass off like TDS then why would you want to just give it away. years of work should be rewarded. if everyone had it then it would not be special. if a breeder ask you not to give it out then you should respect there wishes.

I'm unsure of the origin of Deathstar in CO. I got mine when buying Deathstar from a disp. that was lightly seeded around a year ago. The smoke was phenomenal. When grown out the resulting plant leaned more towards the sensi star side and became a seed mom. Two hits from that plant made me the most uncomfortably high I've ever been. The beans from that seed mom grew out uniformly and very true to the Deathstar standards. Did the dispensary actually have real Deathstar? I dunno but it was well before the high times hype when they were selling it. It was even before the local Deathstar craze. I don't see any reason they would have lied about an (at the time) unheard of strain.

there is two different strains called deathstar. the one in high times ecsd/sensi star and in colorado jedi/cross with something cant remember. google it

My death star is an ecsd x sensi star, not this jedi whatever. I'm very particular to what I grow, and I am knows in my circles at strains and phenome differences. I have a degree in bio-chemistry but I don't think that matters.

The death star is EXCELLENT! It yields really well, the average bud dried and cured was between 3-5g, a month long cure brought out lemony deisely taste, heavy trichome coverage like I poured sugar over my buds 9-10 week flowering time, moderate stretch, not too bad. Really impressed with how dense the buds grew, although at 9.5 weeks into flowering it starts to throw nanners in secret hidey places... which I'm not too thrilled at, but hermie tendencies seem to be prevalent intodays genetics.

I crossed my death star mom origionally (long time ago, over 1 1/2 years) with a southern lights dad which was ecsd x sensi star that I grew from seed. The southern light for some reason didn't turn out as nice (the females) as the death star mom that I used for breeding to try to save the special mom. Now I have f2 seeds and I'm seeking out the special mom leaning pheno, which was tastier and more stoney and yielded more than the current death stars I run. I kept 2 death star moms of the current run, which one will staying my garden, I will probably just flower the other one out, and meanwhile I have other breeding projects that I have used the death star male with, a strawberry cough, buddah's sister, ak-47 and white rhino and I'm looking forward to seeing what that will produce.

I pass on genetics to those that I think are capable of growing good weed, some people do not have respect for breeders. If someone says, this is special, please don't pass her around to just anyone, then that should be respected. It's probably a reason why no one will give you a death star cut with that kind of attitude. Special things are special, it doesn't mean anything if you don't have to work for it.

TDS said they're going to release the seeds in cali... and you said something about LA.. so look for it there if you can find it.

The Death Star I have is called DS 3.0 and it comes from Central OH. It is SD X SS and definitely tilts towards the SD side of the equation. Should be done in Early July. It doesn't look special until about wk 5-6. My Silver Haze x Pinetar Kush are looking waaay better.

You mentioned before that you were working with a cali breeder to bring this and perhaps other crosses to the masses. Is that still the case and if so. Releases here or through dispensaries, or through your own methods?

Kindness is flowing. :)

Listen everyone I posted on this blog way back on the first page before High Times ever did an issue on death star. I got the clones from the original breeder through a mutual friend, dont ask Im not tellin you anything except the strain originally came from Ohio but I obtained them in VT indirectly. anyways you arent missing anything this article claimed way better than the original sour. hah! i grow both n lemme tell you the death star doesnt touch its parent the sour deez. In my opinion its one of the most overrated strains out there. No diesel taste. No extreme potency. It does however yield a shitload of very tight very appealing bud so I do stick with it because of the hype ppl buy it. but this will most likely be my last run of it i like to smoke what I grow and this shit just doesnt do it, you definitely build up a tolerance to it quickly. sorry if I offended team Deathstar just being honest many Veteran connoisseur smokers in my area agree. Ive also been known to be one of the best horticulturists in the tristate area. a SUNY botany deg. and 7+ yrs of cultivation are my credentials so the inferior quality is not on my end if anyone wants make accusations.

dude its really hard to get this cut and if you dont like it then its not the real cut. lots of people in the ohio area think that they have it but really dont. can you post some pics of plants and buds?

I have to disagree with you on this.....Don't get me wrong, I love Sour Diesel, but I think that the Death Star is superior in every way. I don't know the guys from Team DS, and have no reason to lie. I guess it's just a personal preference thing.
