Not only does the willow aid in cloning, but the bark (when chewed) will help relieve both head and tooth aches.
I've been using water cloning on and off for a few years and just bumped into this thread. Works great for sexing seedlings and keeping strains around that you don't need a mother for right away.

I cut these two tonight from a plant that has been flowering for four or five days.
This light is about 3 ft. above the cuttings and is usually left on at night just so the house isn't totally dark. During the day the window gets sun in the morning so it will be interesting to see how long the roots take in this environment. The house is pretty dry and it's still most cool temps accept at night when I turn the heat on.

for the sake of comparison I moved the glass containing two clones into the grow room. So it's on a bench about 3 feet below two fluorescent tubes. 24 hours after those cuttings were taken, I took another group of eleven and put them in rapid rooters in a tray. Same bench, same light, same air temp., same rh%...
I decided to give this a try with some tops and lollipop branches, adding an air stone seems to help a ton but the ones with the massive roots were tops from vegging plants versus branches from flowering plants but still.

All these cutting were put in water about 3 weeks ago. I will be adding an air stone to the glass of water to see if they start growing actual roots also instead of just nubs.

what about placing the cutting into plain water & a tspn of h202?? perhaps even more hydro peroxide?? nobody has mentioned this yet, i do not think?? i just tried it yesterday, so will let you all know. but, if what I am doing is wrong or no bueno, please let me know asap....

It sounds like they just need a little more time.
Could try changing water more often, fresh water = more oxygen.
Upping the temps to 72f night and 80f day might help.
Some are stubborn and just take their own sweet time.
If they are really stubborn, try dipping one in some rooting powder,
just one to start with and go sparingly with the rooting powder.
If it starts wilting after powder, rinse thoroughly and place into
clean container of fresh water.
Personally, I would rinse and change water and container after
a couple of hours after using the powder anyway.

How did the peroxide work out?
This sounds like it might be worth a shot.
I would add sparingly, a few drops a day.
Might save trouble of changing water daily.
If anyone tries this, do so at your own risk...
It sounds like it should work, but it would be best to
hear from Matanuskan Flo or another member who has
tested this theory if you have limited resources.
Might just try it myself.
I have been using and an air stone and air pump and it helps a ton. I had stems with white nubs in one glass and the ones next to it had an air stone and the cuttings were a week younger and they had roots.

I've read & re-read this thread thinking that I missed something...
With this method is it:
a) 12/12 until rooted & then transplant & switch back to veg cycle?
OR
b) 12/12 while rooting, ONLY if sexing the cut is needed?
c) regular veg light cycle while rooting?
I have cloned many times before with airstones & plain water but never without the airstones....just curious if the 12/12 is a trick to make them root faster or something.

All of my cuttings have gone into the veg room because of the desire to have low light, I would have to make a shaded area in my flower room. So all of my cuttings have been rooted under 18/6 using flouros.

Thanks for the response "Major Cottonmouth" (<---pretty slick name, by the way). I was pretty sure that it would be the regular veg cycle & 12/12 if sexing, but better to be safe than sorry & ask.

got branches soaking now and will be taking cuts in a day maybe 2 at most. we'll see how it goes.
Yes it is a slow process, I would say minimum 3 weeks but it is as simple as it gets.
