nah, I smoke plenty, but seeing as how I have a life and job outside of smoking/growing herb unlike a lot of folks on this forum, I don't really see eye-to-eye on some of the free-love hippie bullshit that people like to post ;)

It's that time of year again. The time when you can't take a walk in the forest without fearing for your life, as cops and growers duke it out for grow space.

The Feds are starting early again this year, and their latest find was something well-established for the beginning of the season. Obviously these plants were started indoors and transplanted after the first frost and the end of the rains.

For more on this report from the Lake County New click here.

...lol! they are trying to tell me that one dude tended to 10,500 plants? i dont care who he is! i have a job for this dude ... ha!

I'm with Lazy on this one. Those few guys who were tending those plants will probably get killed for that or something will happen to their family if they don't set something new up fast. It's pretty sad.

10500 plants 3-4 feet this early. Sound fishy to me.
Ever try hauling 1 foot high plants out to the woods?
Some serious space and watts to get them girls to that size. Plus a few tractor trailers to haul them to the sight. Not to mention the number of people to dig holes and haul them from the truck to the garden.
What is legal to hunt this time of year? If the story is not a lot of BS then the supposed hunter was probably one of the many laborers on the project that did not get paid what he thought he should of.
Big money involved in setting something like this up. Not just some old hippie.

It really doesn't matter how one feels about marijuana, it's stupid to put 10K plants out on someone else's property. As far as the hunter goes, I am reminded of a quote from Adolf Hitler:"It is a fortunate thing for Governments that Citizens don't think for themselves." Remember folks there is still a huge population of people in this country that are driven by the anti-marijuana propoganda of days gone by. The hunter simply did what our government programmed him to do. Also, in my opinion, if marijuana was 100% legal in this country I still wouldn't want a cartel from a foreign country exploiting people and growing on someone's private property. Peace:joint:

A nearby spring had been diverted to provide the water source for the plants, and the hillside had been cleared of native vegetation to accommodate the operation

I'm glad that they found it. This is a problem in CA. Why do people fail to see the negative impact these grows have just because they want to be pro pot in every instance?

obviously some of you have never heard of early girls aka auto flowerers, which is what almost all of these very large scale ops are running...thats how you harvest ? x 1000 lbs in june and again in august before everyone else is done.

because, unfortunately, the majority of people on this forum who try to be "pro-pot" in every instance are fucking idiots who will never amount to anything, and they don't seem to realize that they are the reason why things don't ever change

bring on the negative rep, if you see something in this post that offends you its because it hits too close to home

With that many plants, you undoubtedly need a bigger team, and that hunter what was he thinking!?!? Come back in a few weeks and load up the bags!

I'm sure the hunter was thinking that he might be followed from the site and eliminated as a precaution by the cartel security.
