I dont believe any of Rez's IBL lines involve any "selfed" seed stock.

He uses a method known as "cubing" in which you cross the original clone to a male with mostly recessive traits, then back-cross the F1 generation to the original clone repeatedly.

The first back cross(BX1) will have 75% of the original clones genetic material, the second back cross(BX2) will be 88%, BX3 94% and so on. Eventually you get to 99%+ and at that point it is considered an "Internal Blood Line".

This is correct!

At least the first part is, IBL does stand for inbred line though (I'm 99.9% sure).

Rez def didn't use silver on his sour line, his chem line, or any of the lines I can think of.

In fact I think that's one of the biggest reasons he despises those other breeders. ALthought those other breeders are producing stellar gear

nice explanation FoCo! thanks for that. so, what male is used in the original cross? that's kinda a question for this original post too...i can't see it now, as i'm typing a response, but it sounds like this SFV is being crossed to an afghani male and the products are being call SFV?? i guess i'm confused. what's up with the male that gets used?

Depends on the breeder. As the others have said rez uses a male for the f1 gen, then backcrosses to the original female clones, selects a male, BX again etc. to create an inbreed line.

As for the Cali Conn sfv they must have used a male at some point to hit the original clone with, same technique. Some folks try to find a male with similar characteristics to the clone they are trying to cube, and some use males with recessive traits as foco said. IDK what they (CC) used.

SFV OG Kush BX2 - This is the second back cross in our SFV OG Kush line. You should expect some great looking plants in this batch. You will get a solid yeilding plant that will flower in 8 weeks. The longer the flower time the better the end result will be, with a heavy lemon pinesol smell. an extremely good comparison via seed to the mother

Does anyone know where to buy/order 7 gallon BLACK buckets? Can't find 'em anywhere. Balazar, Rednick, any of you bucket bastards know where to find these? (No offense, I'm a bucket bastard, too!)

Didn't I read Rez was like the only breeder working with Chems/Diesels, trying to create a stable seedline WITHOUT the hermie gene? And FFA was one of his "accidents" in doing just that? (Essentially finding a double recessive for that genetic trait.)

I just got in my 600w 2.8k Sun Pulse Metal Halide lamp in.. its larger than i thought it would going to be.
The package now list the spectrum's as 2.8K Flower - 5.7k Veg- and 10k Final weeks
This lamp is certified with my Quantum ballast but i had 0 issues with my Super Hortilux 600w hps. Then again i only ran it at 100% and i read that others had longevity issues with theirs..

The SunPulse I'm going to turn down to 50% for summer. (i think) they suppose to run cooler anyway.

How do ya like those Sun Pulse? I was at the Maximum Yield Convention last year, and Sun Pulse had a big booth giving those out for free. I picked up a few of 'em, and gave 'em away. They totally didn't convince me on the "change bulbs every 2 weeks" concept. Bullshit, I think, to sell more bulbs. Plus, just having to change bulbs out every 2 weeks by hand, guaranteed you will end up breaking a few, slip out of your hand, etc. They will get you just on replacements....I'll stick to Hortilux.....

yeah I'm not buying into their rotation schedule. I'm just running the 2.8k during the summer. This will be my first run with them.

The Sun Pulse is a lot like the CFL spectrum i was running before. no where near as red as the HPS.

Wow, I guess that it is short and stout (close nodes) for a diesel because of the Sun Pulse bulb burning much cooler? And those are some seriously long pistils! I have an ECSD that I grew under a bloom spectrum 8 bulb T5 rack that looks similar!

well up until today it was under the hortilux hps..
Yeah its super tight for a "Diesel" it has some serious hair long and thick.. It suppose to be Soma's NYCD x with Cali Indica. I would guess the spacing comes from the Cali Indica...

My Bluecheese is starting to get that berry smell but no where near as Chemical blueberry flavoring funk as the last pheno..

Yea, those are the only ones I can find online myself. I've heard of people using them on here. Maybe they just painted em black.
You wrap them in bubble insulation. They are actually transparent, I use these 7gal food grade buckets for brewing beer.
