My 1st Grow! 5 CFLs in two 26 Gallon Rubbermaid Cab!

Sup guys. I figured I'd show this to you. It's pretty nifty, if I could modify it some. I found this thing in my parents garage, it's called a Power Plant. It's supposed to be a soil-less "aeroponic" garden. Something like that. Anyways, it has this strip of sponge and a slit in the sponge. That's where you put a seed.

See? Anyhow, it pulls the nutrient solution up, sprays it onto the sponge, and the plants roots grow through the sponge and dangle into the reservoir. I figured, I could cut some type of clone starter or something to fit into the little sponge tray, and maybe have it work to start clones? I kinda wanna try and grow a plant in it, just like a Jiffy. I dunno, I maybe try a whole entire flowering in that baby. Oh, but I forgot! I put the water in, got the right timer, was all ready to start a seed, and thennnnn, I plugged it in, and it went "Wahhehppppspppt" Then it wouldn't pump. WTF. I guess the pump's out. I called the customer service, but it's still the weekend. Blah. Later homies.

Hey guys. For some reason, I didn't notice the posts previous to my last post, so I'll address those now:

Any stress can do it really. I had one I let dry out too far early on, plus high temps etc, and it had staggered red hairs from early on - it still finished fine. This is why people usually judge harvest by trichomes, because hairs can be affected by random things like that.

If it was a hermie, and it's probably not, you will see the pods swelling where the dead hairs were, in a few days or so. You know what herms look like right? Just scan the whole plants for strange pods that don't look like the others. Just to be sure.

80 is nothing, man. It's probably the other factors you mentioned - I bet it dried out or something.

Sweet. I'm glad it's not getting way too hot. It's gotten up to 89 before, but that was quite a while ago, in veg. I'm pretty sure you called it in your thread. I'm betting it's the Neem I sprayed. Probably bruised em all up. I haven't seen any strange flowers yet. I know what a hermie flower looks like, too, so I'm pretty sure it's not that. They do get pretty dry occasionally too. That could very possibly be it.

I wish I could keep my cab at 85 or less. Temperature isn't a real problem til you get over 90 (in general). What's the humidity?

I just added a new fan. Got a $6 fan at WalMart yesterday. Tore that bitch apart and made it into a new exhaust fan. It pulls so much more air than the 120mm computer fan I had. I put the fan inside this pitcher for drinks. It fit perfectly, with a little modification and duct taping. I must say, I'm rather resourceful when it comes to fabricating things for fans! Hahahah. Oh, as for humidity, I dunno. Don't have a hygrometer.



Yup. Well, I just checked the plants as soon as I had typed all of those responses. They are actually turning around, it looks like! It seems like the buds are definitely growing and the pistils seem to be either turning the more transparent white they were, or new ones are comin' out. There are like, 2 flowers with completely white pistils still, down inside the canopy of the bushier of the two plants. I'm assuming, that's because I didn't spray them with anything! I'm betting they got bruised up or the Neem I sprayed made them change. Hopefully they'll come back to white! If not, NBD! Gonna try and get some chron off these bitches anyhow! They are lookin' pretty frosty, aren't they. I was just worried because they aren't really filling out, you know? The leaves are frosty as a motha, but it seems slow goin'. I noticed that they started filling in between nodes a little more today, so I'm high hopes!

My friend just showed me his Bubba Kush plant, and OMFG. The bud sites looks exactly like mine (mine is Bubba Kush crossed with Bubble Gum, so I suppose it would look similar!) but the only difference is that his fan leaves are as frosty as the tiny leaves on the bud! It's honestly incredible. It's going to be some DANK weed. I'll get a picture of it

Yeah man. I love Pokemon. So awesome. I used to play Pokemon Yellow in my living room and then, after a while of playing, I'd get so into it I'd just look outside, waiting for Pokemon to walk by. Hahah Wtf.

What do you guys think? After I moved I'd probably set up a better little closet grow or something which would allow for more space for lighting and such. Food for thought.

Anyhow, here's a small picture update. The top leaves are getting kinda brown and crispy in just certain spots. I thought it was like, heat, but it's too dark brown. I dunno. It just crumbles. Here, take a look:

Here's that clone. It's lookin' okay. The bottom leaves are getting super dark yellow and dying.

Here's a seed I stuck in the Jiffy about 4 days ago. Already sproutin', lookin' pretty strong. Not sure what strain it is. My friend just gave it to me to grow it. He pulled it out of some dank his friend had bought. Legitt.

Thanks guys! I haven't been on in a while. Shoot dang! A little has happened since last time. The leaves stopped turning brown and crackling under my touch. Mites took over, and pretty much chewed up a bunch of leaves on one of my plants. Got 1500 ladybugs, for 10 freakin' bucks, and put like, a quarter of them in there. There are TONS of ladybugs in there. Actually Took some pictures just like, 20 minutes ago, and when I had the cab open, ladybugs got out. Now, the freakin' ladybugs are invading my living room. Hahahahaha. The buds are building up, but they still have quite a ways to go. It's day 36 now, I believe. Yesterday (12th) was the 5th week checkpoint.
