Oregon Outdoor Auto Grow 2010

Hello everyone out there in IC land, this will be my first attempt at growing an auto flowering strain outdoors this years in the great pacific northwest. I have always talked crap about autos due to lack of potency, but with advances in breeding Im ready to hope aboard and end the summer drought that always happens around July up here.

The Spot- A nice southern facing patch of vine maples. I am going to dig a 2x2x2 hole and fill with a mix of fox farm ocean forest soil, peralite, happy frog bat guano, and some other goodies. Patch gets really good morning and afternoon sun, I trimmed some tree tops to maximize exposure. I am going to use the vine maple branches as brackets to put of a cage to keep the deer from eating my babies this year. Cage has been preped and painted, and I am digging and filling the holes this friday with mky soil mix. I am going to let everything settle for 7 days and then plant.

The DNA- 10 Green-O-Matic from Greenhouse, 5 Automatic from Big Buddha Seeds, and 5 Snow Rider from ***** Seeds. All feminised.

The Plan-On 5/1/2010 I am going to pop all my beans and put the best 12-13 out in their prepared spot after a week of 18/6 under my T-5. I will return weekly to water.

Let me know what you all think. I have never done this Auto Stuff before so Ill take whatever I can get.

I haven't grown any of those strains, but you should be good to go. Not many threads online with full auto grow journals, will be watching for sure.

Good Karma to your plants..

Sounds like you have it dialled in mate. Good spot, good soil/nutes and starting them of in doors... if you keep them deer away you will be sweet.

Just started my outdoor grow, wanted to start my babies of indoors as well but that didnt happen...its always the way to go but what can you do...
Good luck and keep us updated.

Hello everyone and thanks for the encouragement, Deer are my mortal enemy, they have thwarted my efforts almost every year. But on this years auto I think I have them licked. I don't have a picture yet but the way the vine maples fall down in the area they almost make a frame like you would see on a tent, so I camo painted some chicken wire and basically made the tent out of it. I have also been spreading dog poopie, and plan on leaving chunks of ivory soap, I don't want those bitches any where near my babies this year!!!

There does not seem to be much info on Auto out doors. If does well can I expect comparable yields to those done indoor?

Moth balls work good too. I have a fench around mine lol if anybody wants to but its made of fishingline. Very stealth but practical. Also when you visit piss around them if you can.

Its been a hard winter and alot of animals are still hungry. Goodluck.

20 females in a 2x2? thats gunna be a tight fit dont u think? maybe u shud do 2 plots 10 fem's in each 1...

I actually only have 15 seeds and I only plan on putting the best 10-13 out there. As far as the hole size goes, I have 4.5 Cubic feet of soil all prepared, so the hole might be a little bigger, I think that equates to 45 gallons if I use it all, and I have heard you only need 2 gallons max for autoflowers.

I wish there was more info on outdoor auto flowers, so I would know if I am on the right path or not.

LRG- I would go on to make fun of the ducks, but since they have been pretty good at making themselves a laughing stock over the last few months Ill leave that alone. When a school like that cant find a basketball coach because of the embarrassment that football program have brought onto the state, as a beaver fan you can only just sit back and smile. Proud to be a beaver, always have and always will, don't think many duck fans out there can say that.

Which version of Snow Ryder do you have? There are two different auto strains that have the name Snow Ryder. One is from the breeder ***** ***** and the other is from ***** *****. The one from * * is a deasent auto, but the Snow Ryder from * * doesnt auto, and my 'fem' 10 pack produced 8 males.
"Buddha Seeds" produces White Dwarf and Red Dwarf and I think they recently introduced more auto strains. These are not related to the Big Buddha Automatic from "Big Buddha", thier only auto strain. This seems to be a good auto as all of mine are now flowering at 4 weeks.

S_H - Am I allowed to say the name of the two different breeders of the two versions of Snow Ryder? Or is it the seed seller that isnt supposed to be mentioned?

Yes you are right, the Automatic from Big Buddah has nothing to do with red and white dwarf. The Automatic is what I have now, u say your growing it with much success??? pics?

LOL just firing back at you bro no hard feelings. Its all about the Oregon Love regardless of the school. Excited for football season to start here soon.

Samson,
Great work buddy, Love to see you growing again. I am starting to think we need to set you up as the family GSO, so that I have time to work on my project.

Ducks HA
I would rather root for a Class act and lose, than win and root for a clown. At least the Class act can walk away and say we did it right.

Go Beavers!
