thanks, I'm trying to follow this recipe as close as possible, I am just wondering if the Ag. Limestone would work (it is definitely powdered) or is that stuff from ACE worthy or do I find the real deal?:
Soiless Mix
5 parts Canadian Spaghnam Peat
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings
Dolomite Lime (powdered, not pelletized)
lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.

organic food source
add to soiless mix organic nutes like blood, bone and kelp...
Dry Ferts:
1 tablespoon blood meal per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
2 tablespoons bone meal per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
1-tablespoon kelp meal per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
this will be a balcony grow from clones from a really nice guy who is probably getting sick of all my questions. tia again. also any other advice/tips for a local coming out of the closet?

Dardanos is a greenhouse/nursery...they can probably help you with a source, if they don't have it themselves. They are in the phonebook, I'm sure...

Balcony?....how does your landlord feel about that?...Check your lease, it may mention that you can be evicted for violating "Federal" laws...you don't wanna get evicted....

as far as "coming outta the closet" is concerned...you got a good start coming here...alot of friendly, helpful folks here with good info...as far as "coming out" publicyl is concerned, you alone can determine how comfortable you are with your situation. At this point in time, my closest friends have always known I grow, now even the one's that didn't know for sure...they know. Those "closest" friends are still the only ones that know where, since they help trim too....

Get your card.:)

But really, be prepared for a little paranoia...I know it sounds weird but I wasn't having sleepless nights as much, but I was still a little paranoid for a while...Thinking 'Now they know I exist'.

But really most of my paranoia came from after drunken bouts and waking up the next morning going 'what did I say?', 'who did I tell'. It is very weird to start being open about it, to talk to aquantences/strangers and try to convince them to get their card.

funny. the first/last time I grew was in the late 80's at a midwest college in a conservative town. I "saved" a crop of my friends plants, his parents found them and said to get them out, why they didn't just dump em? I drove them across town in an old station wagon to my rented apartment where we built a fake rear to a closet with no ventilation. The stink was severe. I woke to sirens one night flashing in the windows (from a fire truck down the street) and pretty much gave up.

Do you see the innuendo with the girl grabbing his "gun"....well done, well done!

And the chick that is throwing a guy over her shoulder in the right background....classic....

I just finished another Bio-Bucket style RDWC. I now have two identical systems in the flower room so I'm thinking up all sorts of side by side experiments to try. Any suggestions? Pix soon!

Ummm, I am CentennialSeeds.

Ummm, I am CentennialSeeds.

Too bad that they have to lie in their second paragraph on the "About Us" page.

They say CSU Labs has helped them ("Every seed we offer for sale is germination certified by the Colorado Seed Lab at CSU") which is a blatant lie. Just a few weeks ago CSU told their employees that they are not allowed in any way to help the MMJ growers. I am looking for the article and will post it as soon as I find it.

I wrote the 2nd paragraph and the 1st and the last. There are no lies in there. We have a working relationship with the Colorado Seed Lab at CSU. The article you linked to you obviously didn't read. If you had, you'd know that it pertains to Extension employees and volunteers. Extension is part of the Horticulture Dept. The Seed Lab is part of the Crop and Soil Sciences Dept.

As background, every seed offered for sale in Colorado, be it corn, wheat, beets or cannabis, must be certified. All of our seed is certified and labeled in accordance with Colorado law.

You are welcome to call me, email me or meet me face to face. My contact info is on the website. I'd be happy to show you the certificates. I'd also be happy to give you a tour of our facility and let you see our seeds growing. Then I'll ask you to retract the claim that I am a liar.

Making statements about another person based on something you really didn't read or understand is irresponsible and just mean spirited. Not trying to beat yu down, just asking you to be fair. Is that fair? -Joe

....MAYBE, JUST MAYBE I could be wrong...It sure seems to me that CSU is trying to avoid legal issues...which is easily understood/assumed from just reading the PDF. Why would they allow one side, and not the other side of the school be involved? As mentioned in the PDF...the school receives "Federal Funding" which it could/would lose for providing support to the Medical Marijuana community. If I was wrong...I do apologize...that is no even a question!

Forgive me for assuming that ("Extension is part of the Horticulture Dept. The Seed Lab is part of the Crop and Soil Sciences Dept").... those 2 departments were not one and the same, or part of one and the same. They are, however, both departments within the same school...again, why would they select only one department? Maybe some there are playing symantics...and "assuming", like I did, that it doesn't specifically mention that dept, so it's ok...where I looked at it from the other angle...sorry.

Hell, from what I understand, the Feds take away Grants, Student Loans and any other type of Fed assistance from students if they have ever been busted for pot...even a ticket...

So, assuming that I was wrong, I think I would remove that from my site...if CSU saw it, they may send that PDF out just changing departments...

I appreciate the sort-of/conditional apology. Sort-of.

I don't want my first mention on these boards -- which is still painfully displayed -- to be less than 100% resolved. Hard to build reputation when people fray your name on a whim without ever having met or even communicated with us. -Joe

The offer to come visit us still stands. We're just east of Boulder out in the farms. -Joe

I got some clones from them about 6 months back. Never seen such a mess. They had almost all my trays/domes mislabeled.. We ended up with a crap load of the same strains, all labeled differently. Like you said these guys are cool, but how far does cool go? They gave you PM and left me playing guessing games with 30+ plants. Seems a little disorganized, and dirty up there to me.
Just as you mentioned: they could not identify for sure what the clones were that I was purchasing: "this might by AK47, or it might be Jah Kush--which is way better." Not particularly impressed.
