Marlo,

Any updates bro? Are you using straight RO or mixing with tap? Have you ran into any Ca/Mg issues following the Rezipe? Im in day 3 of flower following the Head/Rez as well.

Wsup Smoke.
Last run was not very impressive. The top buds were nice, but there was alot of airy larf too. Half the crop at least. I didn't bother gettin any #'s.

Marlo,

D2G

I haven't run into any issues at all so far with the Rezipe. I'm using straight RO water. I usually throw in a capful of calmag into the rez once a week or so, just as a precaution.

Wow...with the plants being that close...you aren't having issues? How are you keeping the girls from getting too hot next to the bulbs?

Wsup Dave.
There have been more than a few fan leaves sacrificed from a cpl of the larger plants, but for the most part it isn't much of a problem. Remember tho, these are 400's. A lot less heat than the 1k's in your parabolics.

I do think I made 2 mistakes.
These were definitely over veg'd. Again. Definitely gonna flip sooner next time. Big girls and 400's dont mix well IMO.
I also stopped weaving them into the screen too soon.

Grow and Learn.

I'll try and get some pics up soon. They are on day 31 now.

Can't wait for the updates Marlo! How long have you been using hygrozyme? When I got all of my gear the hydro shop gave me the whole line up of H&G, but decided to go with GH this run. I'm in 3 gallon square pots of Bcuzz and noticing a little bit of brown tips on the roots that are sticking out. I think I saw a little mold as well. Should I buy and use Hygrozyme to break that stuff down or just use the Root Excel that I already have?

Mold or Algae? Either way, you gotta get rid of it...Root Excel won't do that. Some additives/nutes will discolor roots.... I have never used Bcuzz...it could be that. If your roots are getting light, it could also be that. Cover the tops of your pots, algae/mold needs light and moisture, make sure your covers are black. - Hope you don't mind my responding to this Marlo....:tiphat:

No problem Dave.

I don't know about the mold/algae thing, but I've been using Hygrozyme for abt 2years and I love the stuff. My roots used to look thin and discolored. Now they look healthy, white and grow faster. The stuff is expensive, but its worth it IMO.

Thanks Marlo and Dave! I should have started my own thread in the infirmary or coco section. I only posted here because I'm following the same feeding schedule and was wondering about hygrozyme. The fuzzy stuff is on the sides of the pots where the roots are sticking out not the top. I have to double check, but I think I also saw a bluish tint on the tips as well. Roots Excel does get rid of root mould according to the description. Enough about me.. Sorry Marlo!

You can see these plants are still stretching. The trim job they rec'vd a few days ago had no ill effect.
Here is what it looked like on day 17.

picture.php

picture.php

I tried to wait until day 21 to trim, but some of these girls needed it bad.
Some were trimmed severly, some just minor trims.

Here we have my Cherry OG #1. She's a hefty one.
I gave her a pretty severe trim. Took clones from the bottom half and removed all of her big fan leaves. I left the small fans on.

BEFORE

AFTER
picture.php

The light penetrates this plant alot better than before. All the budsites can now receive more light. The lower half wouldn't have produced much anyway.
I'm hoping this will be all branches of bud.

Not all the girls got chopped as much as the Cherry OG did. Some looked a bit underdeveloped and will get trimmed more next week.

Here is what the room looked like after the trim.

I don't expect all the strains to respond well to this style of growing, but I'm sure a couple will. Those that do will be run again.

We'll see how they look next week.

MARLO

Yea, go back to post # 57ish. I posted an update showing a before and after trim with one of the Cherry OG girls.
I've chopped hundreds of fan leaves in the past 3 weeks. Some plants more than others. But if you look at some of the room shots, it doesnt look like I cut shit! I'm still tryna dial this trimming thing in.

The Blumats are workin great. I have a pump in my rez that keeps everything mixed up. Works fine. I'll try and get some pics next update.

Thanks Whodair. Good luck with the vert thing. You won't regret it. It takes a lil gettin used to, but its definitely worth it

Nice thread bro. Much to learn here :chin:
Thanks bro. I learn somethin new abt this grow everyday.
That sour grape in ya sig sounds good. I'm headin to ya thread now...

Good stuff, I really like the individual screens for each plant.

The screens came out great. PVC is the shit!
I don't think I scrog'd as good as I could have. I over veg'd and let the girls go too soon. Grow and learn i guess

**** UPDATE ****

**** UPDATE ****

The room is now on day 37 of 12/12. Temps are rising with the spring weather. Nothing too drastic yet.
I moved some of the plants around yesterday. One of the L.S.D's did not like being right in front of the bulb. The leaves closest to the bulb were showing the claw. The leaves further away looked fine. She wasn't budding very much either. Someone else would be happy to have that spot.
On the other side is my DSD. She's right up on the bulb and takin it like a champ. I keep trying to reposition it and pull the buds back, but she keeps leaning into the light. Her leaves are showing no ill effect being this close to the light.
The Red Diesel is chuggin right along too. Looking like she's gonna yeild well. If I had this setup with just all DSD and Red Diesel, I'd probly get close to 2 lbs. 12 plants @ 2.5 oz each = 30 oz's... is easily doable with these 2 strains.

I'll take these plants out and get pics of them for the next update. The big girls are in the back, the dont come out very often.

ROOMSHOT
picture.php

Here is my Cherry OG "D". This lil lady smell incredible. She's closest to the door and the odor is str8 up fruity/funky/nastiness. This one gets nice an frosty. She looks like she will be a nice yeilder too. I have another one of these girls in a 2 gallon pot in The Man Cave also at 37 days. She has been pollinated from head to toe with a Cherry OG male. All of these seeds will be sent in to the bay.

picture.php

Next is Cherry OG 1. This is the girl that I did the before and after trim pics with. She's chuggin right along. This plant has some of the prettiest fan leaves IMO. Smells great too. More fruity than the "d" pheno.

picture.php

Here is a pic of my DSD99. Looking very promising. Smells like strawberry pineapple goodness. The trichs on this one are really starting to sparkle. Even on the fan leaf stems. I wish I still had the male I used to make this cross. I definitely want to make more of these seeds. I think this might turn out to be a winner. She has just been moved to a spot right in front of the 1st bulb. Hopefully she likes it thr

picture.php

This is one of my Killer Chem phenos. She's the one that smells like Grape Soda. This strain has some big yielders.
I was planning on letting these 2 KC phenos go after this run. We'll see

picture.php

Just based on growth patterns alone, I probably won't grow the LSD's, Kryp's OG, and SD x SSSDH again because they grow way to fast and stretch like crazy. I never expected anything from BOG to get this big. The PCR will not be run again because it veg's very slow, doesn't branch much and hardly stretches. But its one of the frostiest I've ever had. If I'm not gonna have a monocrop, I at least want the plants to have similar growth patterns.
