This is the first thread i have ever made in the tokers den. Hope im not stepping on any toes or reposting.

What do people want to see with a grow diary? Is it the more pictures the better? What would be the ideal update duratuon? ect...

To me weekly seems to be enough, i would like to see lots of pics. Consistency is the key. Not enough people seem to follow through.

Please post links that show your opinion of what a supurb grow diarys and journals is.

Mine would be

small grow.

I just want to know the details of the grow, nutes, method, strain....

And then I want them to fast forward to about 30 days in. I hate veg pics.

word.

And then I want to see the chop and final dried weight! Nothing worse than a dead-end journal.

Ideal? Do the complete grow - THEN post the pics and grow log. Give pics and temps for - say - every 3-5 days. Also tell which nutes, lights, seeds or clones, veg time, etc..

Not a huge veg picture fan either. I dont mind if you get some freaky mutant plant but to me all the veg pics are the same.

Very pretty diary Rip Bong Winkle, Although it's a little feminine for me. I might go with something that has puppies on it or something. :)

I can't speak for anybody else, but I try to include in my grow diaries all the things I'd like to see in others. I provide pretty detailed information about my set up -- cabinet, lights, soil, ferts, etc. I also do weekly updates (more or less) from seed to smoke report. I try to give pertinent details along the way, like how/when I fertilize, top, train, harvest, dry, cure, etc. I include plenty of picts, trying to mix them up a bit so as not to show week after week of the exact same thing -- close-ups, group shots, trichome macros. And I try to answer any questions as best I can.

Here's my current grow diary, a work in progress.

Oh, and I really hate the diaries that just end. Don't leave me hanging. I want to know how it turns out.

All I ask is that it's complete. Whether the grow flourishes or bombs, as long as it's accurately and completely recorded, the diary is a success.

I don't mind veg pics per see, I just hate when multiple pics aren't thumbnailed. A 100x100 pixel thumb is all I usually need to see. I can click for a better look on the one 1 in 1000 that need it.

i like when someone posts their whole grow in the course of like 10 minutes in like 3 posts lol...

"here are my strains" "here's my setup" "now, here they are at about 30 days of veg, about to be flipped" "ok here they are at about 40 days of flower" "ok here we are right before the chop" "now this is them drying" "here's the dried cured stash with a smoke report" "questions?"

lol :joint:

I like journals that start from the beginning whether its from seed or clone. If from seed you don't need to take weekly pictures, but a few to show the growth from seed to mother/flower is always nice to have.

I have a log that I just started today will be posting from the beginning, however it will be kind of like Articblast said. I'll be waiting until the clones are ready to go into the flowering room before actually updating the thread w/ veg pics.

The worst are the ones which stop updating around day 35-40 of flowering.

If you have a hot chick around you,

toss her in the pics

I would read that damn grow report all day everyday.

you can even include shots of the plants if you want.

<grin> I like that, too.

Here's what I need to know:

1. Complete room setup
2. Veg time, training if any
3. How much stretch
4. How much yield dry/cured

That's pretty much it. I can take care of the rest.

Very cool thanks for the input everyone. Kind of all want the same thing more or less. Seems like consistency and regular is the best. Don't start if you're not going to finish.

ArcticBlast Sounds like you need of those remotes that Adam Sandler had the movie click. Pictures of women in inthe grow room never hurts either.

I have noticed over the years that people rarely show any pics from the chop, harvest, trimming, or curning.

It's usually the , "I'm gonna chop again tomorrow" and then nothing for a couple weeks.

Would love to see big stacked up spears waiting to be trimmed.
