i was thinking of something from growmore fertilizers or chem-gro fertilizers to be mentioned here.

about to pull the plug on one of them myself..TOTALLY water soluble with NO UREA..and a million different NPK rations to play with (looking at 4-18-38 i think)...

but a 25 pound sack of that..for 52 bucks shipped, along with a few pounds of calcium nitrate to add nitrogen during veg, and you should have a LIFETIME of good HYDROPONIC (read: soluble in water) nutes..for UNDER A HUNDRED BUCKS (WAY under)

Earth Juice grow, catalyst, and bloom is really all you need and it really isnt exspensive and works great.

are they chelated though? thats the important thing!
yes i believe so..i know specifically one of them is..though their site growmore.(com) (i think) has the specific info on their site for every formulation..
Im looking at the tomato formula but the specific one that mentions chelated stuff in the description goes like this
"Product: Grow More Hydroponic Rock Wool Aqua Bloom 10-7-16, 25 lb bag Description: Excellent buffered N-P-K formula with chelated micronutrients. Compare with Supernatural™ Brand Bloom Aqua 10-7-16. Provides a complete source of nutrients and extra potassium for flowering and fruiting plants. Manufactured by Grow More Inc., the most respected name in water-soluble fertilizers for food crops in the world."

ill have to look on their site at the tomato formular, i did look and see it (and all of them) contain micros..I'd venture to say they are all chelated as well (it IS hydro specific nutes after all ) :)

EDIT: I looked at their site, and it says ALL of thei formulations (of water soluble stuff) is chelated and something else..it says "low biuret urea" too but some bags so NO UREA..

growmore, i think is made in china?? chemgro may actually be the superior product being made in the USA (colorado it looks like), and they are priced like it too.,.they want about 60 bucks for a 25 pound bag versus growmores 38 for a 25 lb bag

ohh yea maxibloom isnt made to be used premixed in the soil you'll burn the shit out of your plants, then theyll die ,and the soil will be ruined , its a heavy concentrated nutrients formula thats made to be premixed exactly only in water , bone and blood meao are cheap too , gotta premixed either the bone or blood, i think its bone, for at least 2 weeks +, otherwise it attacts pests

after current bottles of FloraNova run out, I will try out the Jack's Professional Hydroponic - 5-12-26 - $40 for a 25 pound bag is the local price.

You definitely don't need the expensive stuff. Even if you bought a quart of GH Flora Micro and Flora Bloom, that would be $30 at the most, and it'd be enough for 105 gallons of nutes. $0.29/gallon? :dunno:

I just checked someone else post about the Maxibloom powder evlme2 mentioned, they said it was 5g per tsp. That would mean you could get 200 gallons of nutes from $15... $0.08~ per gallon... not bad... :chin:

Man... eight cents a gallon is cheap... does anyone know of anything cheaper that will give results as good as Maxibloom?

+1

Good cheap nutrient = MaxiBloom

The Chemgro looks cheap, and doesn't need too much additives...

I have tasted MG weed before, and was not a fan, but that could just mean it didn't get the shit flushed out of it, we didn't know what we were doing back then.
I just wish we could get a side by side comparison on the taste test, that is why I am using expensive Botanicaire nutes right now, b/c I was using GH and wan't to see if there is a difference in the end product.
When I used Bot in soil it tasted excelllent, so my hopes are high. Sticker shock, yes! I will be trying to mix my own nutes next round to save on operating expenses.

hey there..yeah chemgro looks to be the best so far ..havent looked too closely at jacks though..but it definitely has more micros than growmore ferts do.

I do want to warn people though..I havent ordered from them, because I sent them an email last week, to see how fast they would respond, or if i got a response at all..AND I DIDNT..

so unless I can get a response from them ..I definitely wont be buying from them

there is always southernag's soluble ferts, but you have to order over the phone

Don't quote me on this just quite yet, but I think the Jacks hydro is 5 cents per gallon.

Thank you evlme2! see what you can achieve for under 3 bucks a plant... if more people went with similar nutrient regiments, the cannabis infirmary, or the fert forum would be much easier to manage!:tiphat:

Cheap food that works good is Scott's /Peters, just need to find a grow store that will break down the 12kg bags down to smaller ones. It comes in three flavours.

5-50-17 which is called Root and Bloom (first week of veg and last few weeks of flower
20-20-20 general veg (in veg0
10-30-20 (general bloom formula)

I tested Maxibloom over the course of 3 cycles and really wasn't happy with the results. What's better and even less expensive? Jack's Classic:
