I doubt that anyone that has a degree in chemistry would ever need anyone to teach them to make meth. I knew a a cook and he was dumb as a rock.

It is Walt's recipe after all. From what i have understood in his teachings to Jesse it is all about the " chemical reactions." If you know what they are, meth is just the results of several reactions.

from what i understand, cooks just learn from other cooks, i'm sure steps are forgotten, and shortcuts are taken (and explosions can happen)...

but just because he knows about chemistry doesn't mean he can just make any substance! he still needed to see jesse's stupid setup (chili powder and all) so that he could see the RIGHT way to do it...(he saw why jesse/the cooks do what they do, and he improved on it)

his recipe is old news, that's for people like jesse that have to "think outside the box" in clandestine labs/rv's... walt's new setup is state of the art, with all the right chemicals and equipment he could probably just make medical grade methamphetamine that would blow that blue shit out of the water, now

Yeah that is why i didnt disregard his recipe as i thought it was pure and didnt have much to improve on. I guess Walt is a bit of a perfectionist.

With out the signature blue it would be Walts but it would throw off the DEA as they are looking for the Blue Meth.

Holy Shit!!! By far the best show yet. The axe brothers speak!! Tonights episode reminds me why I watch this show. Friggin Gus is downright creepy.

Yeh, it was nice of Gus to offer up Hank as a sacrificial lamb to the Mexicans to distract them from Walt for a while. Of course that sets up the next episode for a cage match.

Curious to see how the Walt - Jesse relationship unfolds now they are back in each other's orbit.
