if it's available in the UK i'm definatly getting my ex one-and give it to her ironically-maybe several so she can spread the love among her psycho girlfriends. She'd be stabbing away every night for hours-maybe that would help her get it out of her system.....after 15 fucking years. Jesus.
If any guy made a female 'all women are bitches' stab model and marketed it here they'd go straight on the sex offenders register.

you should be proud of the fact that we can have products made like this having a go at our sex, and still laugh, when women would tear up and there'd be an outcry, whether or not it would be warranted.

haha in the end mate, i'd just shrug it off and have a chuckle

I think this is a great POV, I mean who cares really.....its a piece of plastic....I would have thought that as guys we could have been proud to be able to have a laugh at useless shit like this rather than getting all worked up about it.........

i think the OP'er has a great subject here
if it were a woman you'd know there'd be an uproar, some say rightly so
but what about a man, clearly there's a difference
good topic even if we dont all agree

Stoner4life got it exactly right IMO, severe double standards.

"White men can't jump" Nobody says a word about it, but lets come out with the movie
"Black men can't swim" And people like Al Sharpton and others will start going insane

That doll is promoting violence against men and acting like it's funny.

"everyone has the right to be offended" as one comedian said but it seems there
are a few areas that get a bit touchy.
the fem guy,s thread all i seen was a bit of male banter going on.
if we all had to get to touchy then what would we discuss there are a couple of threads
that could be offencive to others on here and also plenty all over the internet that
do degrade into silly name calling and all but i see are still going strong.
lets just deal with it and stop being so demanding for our own views to be defended.

C'mon people.. freedom of expression. If you want a normal knife block, knock yourself out. If you wanna get something way out there like this one, suit yourself. You might make a few enemies as soon as they see it, but chances are you wouldn't want them as friends anyway.

It's not like they're gonna ban certain types of music for promoting violence. Why would this be any different?

WTF?
From the site-"Designed by the Italian design guru Raffaele Iannello, the 'Voodoo' - or as we like to call it the 'All Men Are Bastards' knife block"

looks like it is not called that except for this site that sells it. the designer calls it 'Voodoo'

Other sites sell it with the proper name, but this thread went a bit off topic so I guess it don't really matter much:tiphat:

I just don't like the fact that it is a P.O.S knife block. I mean what real cook would leave blades exposed like that? It is more of a hazard block than a bastard block.

well, there was a congressional hearing on that one... and minors cannot buy albums with the 'parental advisory' label on it, not legally at least; they gotta buy it along-side their parents.

just a heads up.

I'm a woman and I voted not funny.....I have a great sense of humor, but I don't have a lot of tolerance for shit that encourages that kind of separation of the sexes.

It honestly just wasn't funny.....idk.

Why then, if you think this, would you say this ......

What you're basically saying is that we deserve it because we oppressed women in the past. I didn't want to get into this either but fuck it - if you can find some evidence to support this outrageous fucking claim of women having been oppressed by men for 1000's of years I'd be glad to see it. Women used to admire men, love them for what they were and not what they had. Was it like this because they were oppressed? I don't think so. In the past men were more noble and honorable - were more the type of men that drew respect and admiration. This is more likely the fucking truth of the matter.

You need to read up on early Chritianity, Paganism and the oppression of women that began with the Catholic church basically in the time of Christ. These are facts, they aren't really disputable. I'm not using any card, so don't.....but women have been oppressed for well over a thousand years. You don't need to minimize that for us women here. We are all very cool ladies, so please just keep the arguments factual.

These battle of the sexes threads always offend someone....I honestly wish that they weren't tolerated on this site.

You're right Miss Blunted. Sorry if I offended you and I didn't mean for this to turn a battle of the sexes thing. I'm happily married to a wonderful woman & I've got three wonderful daughters so I'm not a woman hater by a long shot. I'm no bastard either mind you. I've always treated women with respect unless they prove they don't deserve it.

The family unit has gone to shit and it's in no small part due to the fact that women just don't admire and respect men any more. We have laws nowadays that favor the woman greatly over the man and we are forever seeing women marrying and divorcing men for money even having children for money simply because they know that they can. Often men are portrayed as mean and nasty villains but the reality is that most men are kind and caring and just as loving as women. The media puts a spin on things though and people believe it.

The media portays the idea that it's ok for a woman to kick a man in his balls but it's a serious crime for a man to slap a woman across the face. There is a campaign going on with regards to domestic violence that portrays men primarily as being the perptrators - mean and nasty, with images of children cowering down from the big mean man, when the reality is that most cases of domestic violence are perpetrated by the woman against the man. Women are often more physical with the children than men are. By far the majority of men that I know will let a woman hit them and not retaliate. They also tend not to hit their children but quite a lot of the mothers do. I've been into many households during my time as a dealer too and I can honestly say that I've rarely come across a situation where the man in that house is the feared, overbearing monster the media makes him out to be.

Most men who are in fact like this like to show it off, ya know? "I'm the king of this here castle and I want everyone to know it" but I've actually never seen it. This is the reality - not what the media portrays. The stats regarding domestic violence are seriously skewed too with most reports being made by the same returning women - women who are what is called 'violence prone' and who are most often the initiators of the violence themselves. They simply use the system and it's bias towards women against the man destroying the mans life while at the same time adding to these skewed statistics. Also, in the UK a woman is asked in a survey if a guy has ever whistled at her in the street and if she replies yes this is counted a sexual abuse statistic. The reality is not what the majority of people believe. Most people believe the hype that is based on these skewed statistics and rarely bother their asses to do some research themselves. They are content to soak up whatever the media puts in front them. There are few men and even fewer women who have either the will or the sense to do anything about it. For those who have never been a bastard and who never will be things like this are maddening.

@Darwins: I agree with you that women don't usually take a boy and lock him away in closet but by god they sure as hell do get away with murdering their own children an awful lot. A recent case in Australia had the judge saying something like 'she's suffered enough'. The woman grabbed up a knife in a tantrum and went to stab her husband/partner who was holding their child. She stabbed the kid straight through the fucking heart man and she get's away with it because 'she's suffered enough'? If a woman murders her own child then she ought to be punished just as much as a man would be but that's rarely the case. If a woman commits perjury in court it's almost always overlooked - she is let away with it and if you think they don't gather outside the family courts and discuss what's the best lie, what the best thing to say in order to maximize their gain, then you'd better think again. They know the system is biased against them and they take any advantage they can get.

Men are not bastards. Stabbing men is not funny. Maintaining that such things are 'only a joke' is a joke itself.

Sure this is kind of sexist, but it doesn't really bother me much. America is very sexist towards women and so what matters if they play too.

A woman knife block may get flak because the fact is, most domestic violence is perpetrated by men, and about 99% of rape is committed BY MEN. Are men hardwired to rape or is this a social disorder. I wouldn't get your boxers in a bunch over this.

Frozenguy - with respect, when you say most DV is perpetrated by men, how exactly do you know this? Have you ever seen it with your own eyes?

Nope.. I'll try to find the source I read it from. The reason I didn't say overwhelming majority is because I am well aware there are many women in jail for domestic violence, but men are still holding the majority. Also, it is more likely for men to not report domestic violence, but estimates (yes, just estimates, nothing more) are that men will still hold the majority even after non reports are reported because women fail to report as well.

EDIT: * In 2000, 1,247 women and 440 men were killed by an intimate partner. In recent years, an intimate partner killed approximately 33% of female murder victims and 4% of male murder victims.

I recommend the book, "The Macho Paradox" by Jackson Katz. Its written by a man, for men, on "Why some men hurt women, and how all men can help."

Go into a room of women and men. Ask the men what they do to prevent themselves from being sexual assaulted. You will have an awkward silence.. You might get "I stay out of prison" followed by some chuckles.

Ask the women, and (not all) but MANY will raise their hands with answers. "I'll hold my keys as a weapon between my knuckels when walking to my car late at night."

"I carry mace or pepper spray" " I have a big dog when I go jogging" " I dont go jogging at night"

These are our mothers, sisters, girlfriends, aunts, grandmothers, friends ect. And a lot of them have these things running through their head at one point or another.

This is a point he makes in his preface.
