my (potential) grow cab

alright, all the new cab needs is a carbon filter which will be done TOMORROW (i know im taking a risk even letting it be filter-less at all, but i had no choice). i made the fan hole on the wrong side (too high) but really i think it'll be okay if i just move the fan going across the bulbs. i'll snap some photos for ya'll tomorrow probably. the plants ACTUALLY have room...one was touching the ceiling and they were both growing into the bulbs and are quite burnt. if it wasn't lights off, i would have pictures now...but tomorrow, folks. it's kind of gnarly.

these are bad pictures of bud sites...hopefully i'll get some good ones soon.

also, this is the first day of the 4th week of flower for both plants.

two budsites from two different plants that have been in flower for the same amount of time and only differ in age by about a week. why is one so much further along than the other? they're just bagseed and both plants have pistils on them, plenty on the one that is not as far along in flowering to convince me that it's a female. no evidence of male flowers either.

things are going okay in the new cab...i will have it perfect once school/this grow is over. temps are a little high because of poor mounting and a shoddily made carbon scrubber, but im just doing what i can.

One of my fans burnt out once too..temps were 106!!!!!!!! the plant looked so happy though baking in the "sunlight"!! She came back though..

if anyone wants to see more of the canopy let me know...it's a jungle in there. thanks for all of the positive reinforcement guys.


question about harvesting: how do i know when to harvest so i can start flushing? do these look like they might be ready by day 60? i would say the older plant is far behind and is maybe looking at 70-75...but i've never grown before so that's just a guess. perhaps the younger plant will be ready at 60...who knows. should i start flushing at day 46-50?

I start thinking about flushing around when the hairs start turning red, just as a really crude guide. I go by gut instinct for the most part though. All looking great, Happy

my plants are looking SO good. im having trouble not updating every day with pictures. it's so exciting to wake up every morning and go see what they've been up to while the lights have been out. the one further in flowering is packing on visible weight daily and the one not quite so far in flowering is having pistil explosion time.

how we lookin gentlemen? today is day 40...is it safe to feed 2/3 times i water at full strength? i wanna see some weight on there and i've seen some other plants who have way more weight on during the 30s.

my microscope came in the mail today. trichs are lookin good, i guess...i can't tell if they're cloudy or clear. but i don't see anything amber so it's obviously not ready to go, and besides, it's only day 43! not too much longer on this sucker though...probably a few more weeks on the other! no pics, too lazy...been feeding, though, so they're going to put on some weight here...i was scared of over-ferting, but i know how to fix it, so im going to go with it.
