Well... I couldn't help myself tonight. I brought F99 #1 out for a last round of photos. These were taken just before lights-out on day 48. This is the one that smells like Fruit Stripe Gum:

You're running a pre-2k BB cut, right? I bet that's the shit. I got some Blueberry buds back in the day (a few times... ~1997-1999) with a crazy distinct berry + something smell. A friend brought some over 6 months or so ago that just transported me back instantly - it had to be the same cut. Guess it's still making its way through the old hippie circles around here. Crazy shit.

Here's some more for the eyes. This is F99 #3. She smells a little like lemons - similar to #2 - but very much more like the F mother. Where the F is limes, she's lemons - but otherwise very, very similar.
She's going to be the smallest-yielding of the 5 (I think) but she's got the frost going on and the F funk counts for a lot. I love her bud structure too, rounder golfballs than the others but with the same large, stacking calyxes. The last photo is one of her more tower-like buds and really looks like her sisters. This is @ day 38.

So #4 and #5 are beginning to differentiate themselves a little bit.
#4 has frosted up like the other 3 so far but lost much of its fruitiness. It kinda smells like the 'odorless' one... very sweet with just a mild flintstones-vitamin in the background. It's going to yield pretty well, and it's finishing on pace with the rest. It made a few male flowers,though, and the mom has been axed. One down! Pics of her tomorrow.
#5, on the other hand, is something a little different. She still smells like Fruit Punch koolaid - whew - although she isn't as visibly frosty as her sisters. She's also a little slower to develop in the bud area and has a different structure. The towers are there like the rest but built differently - like the F this time.
I hope she plumps up by the end - I'm guessing she'll go 60-65. Here's pics, day 39:

The C99 daddy I chose for this cross has seemingly bred true for a couple of pretty clear traits... one of them being speed. I could have easily taken #1 and #2 at ~48 days - complete with amber trichs, swollen calyxes and all the signs of ripeness. Hell, #3 a couple posts up looks almost cuttable at 38! (Yes, there's amber.)
And this is straight from seed, not clone.

woah....back up there cowboy... a seven weeker? was that 12/12 from seed or did you veg?
These were started right at the end of the furnace episode... so they got a long veg, although some of it kinda doesn't count. I flipped them at about 12" as I do with most all my seedplants. (The second batch of 3 had to wait on the 2nd tent and made it to about 14".)
Given that C99 is considered a 50-52 day strain and my quickest F run was 54, I guess it's not that crazy... but it sure is nice. I have to say that I am not really interested in sacrificing quality for finishing time - but if I can get sativa-dom headstash at 7 weeks it's all good!
We'll find out what the lemon/FSG/F-dom pheno is like very soon. She comes down tomorrow. I hope it's as strong as the first one, but maybe a little more complex.

lets hope the old pollen takes for you,after looking back over the last few pages it's hard to pick out a fave from these,#3 has the attraction of the lemon smell and fast finish and looks very sog friendly,4 and 5 have many positive notes as well...tough to choose a mom from them
I'm hoping the same thing... like crazy. I'll get to try it in 10-14 days.

1) FSG - best smell, most like what I was after when making the cross. lots of resin, beautiful flower structure.
2) C99 - stupid-frosty, colorful, quick, dense, and pretty high-yield... kinda boring if strong smoke. may be excellent breeding plant?
3) LEM-F - very close to #1 but smaller buds.
4) VIT - too stretchy, too many nanners, mom culled.
5) FP - a nice surprise. smells amazing! we'll see what the smoke is like. if it's good, a keeper. fruit punch is one of my favorite smells on the planet.
I'm probably keeping 3 of them for now. Maybe 4. What I really need is males....
