Banjo: Thanks brother! The harvest should be in the next 2 weeks for the Pure's, not sure yet about the Kali but likely a good month after that.

Home stretch for the Pure girls!

Home stretch for the Pure girls!

Well, we're at day 50 for the Pure girls, day 30 for the Kali Mist. Things are looking real good in there and I think they'll be ready in the next 10 days or so (maybe sooner for the indica pheno, she's looking real ripe and frosty). I'm surprised by how frosty the Pure girls are getting, as they weren't very frosty the first time I grew them. The Kali Mist is EXTREME frosty, and at only 30 days on a long running sativa! I can't wait!

I think the indica pheno is going to end up coming down this weekend, or early next week. She's looking real ripe and not a lot of new pistils are popping up...mostly just frosting over now. The other two will be another 5 days or more after that, I'm thinking. Salivating over here!

Abusive OG Kush?

So due to a little back and forth with another IC'er in another thread, I decided to go hunting through my bean stash to see what I had left. Why? Well, because our handicapped clones didn't survive (no surprise there). I guess next time I should leave a bud on them so they have some place to put on new growth!

So what did I find in my bean stash? Plenty of goodies, but I decided that I wanted to try a few more Spice beans (Mr. Nice) since I had heard they were the same genetics as one of my fave's from last grow: Royal Hawaiian. So I attempted again to germ these beans with no luck. I tried 3 and not one of them popped using my normal germination methods.

Oh well. So I dug through my stash again and came up with 5 beans that came from a slightly seeded bud I got from my CG last year. It was a great strain that medicated my pain rather well, so I'm really hoping these ones turn out good. Oh, what is the strain? I never thought you'd ask....it's Abusive OG Kush, if the label on the medicine bottle was to be believed (and it did indeed have a classic Kush taste to it, so I'm inclined to go along).

So they're germinating between a wet paper towel right now and when I last looked at least 1 had a tail! Woot! I knew not all of them were bad (though I expect a few are). So folks, we just might have some Abusive OG growin' in the MediCab soon. I'll keep you posted.

Just a quick update: all 5 of the Abusive OG Kush beans popped and sprouted little tails! Woot! Not bad for some "badseed" from my caregiver that I picked up sometime last year. I wasn't 100% sure they were even viable. I guess the proof is in the pudding; we'll see how they grow. For now they're under the dome in rockwool...hopefully they break the surface soon!

All of the girls in the flower room are looking mighty fine. The indica pheno Pure girl just got her last watering...she's coming down sometime before next Sunday. I checked the trich's and they're probably 80% cloudy, not much amber yet, which is perfect for me. The other Pure's are looking like another week after she comes down. The Kali is also looking burly and hella frosty! I'll post pics later today.

Welcome to our journal! Thanks for the props. Harvest will be in about 2-4 days for the indica pheno Pure, and about 7 days after that the other 2 Pure's will come down. The Kali is an 80 day strain, or so I've heard, so it might be some time for her still.

DSDfreak: Yeah, they're always prayin'. If I remember correctly my first Pure's (see 1st grow in my sig) were like this too. So I think it might be primarily genetics (or maybe they just love the organic microherd!).

Powdery Mildew?

Powdery Mildew?

So I just checked on the girls and noticed what appears to me to be powdery mildew, or something along those lines. Can anyone confirm? It was only showing up on 2 leaves at the very bottom of our Kali Mist, nearest the soil. None of the other plants had anything that I could see. I immediately (and carefully) removed these two leaves so as not to risk anything. What should I do?
