Well bro the problem with fem seeds is they herm under stress and outside there is lots for plants to stress about or there can be in some cases or places. So unless anyone else has had any other success and wants to chime in thats what I've found. peace out Headband707

Fair to say my summer outdoor temps can cause stress.

The yields # brought up in this thread are astounding.

TJO: that sounds like a pretty serious mission... i would say that they are going to run into problems with a plant that old. I'm not saying its not possible... you could train the right strain into a really gigantic squat plant... fill a 100x100 greenhouse with 24" of dank soil and a whole bunch of lights... I could see it... but old plants don't produce as well as young ones according to some experiments my friedns have done. Anyone who has flowered their 2 year old moms will agree that they get better yields from clones cut from her and flowered in the course of a normal growin season. Regardless, I'd like to visit the site where this project is being undertaken!

I have been giving this a lot of daydream space today... i was thinbking that in order to get this kind of yield one might try air layering branches and then burying them, creating multiple root systems over the space of a HUGE bed. I would say that a 2000+ gallon bed would be required.

sounds like a really fun project... last year there was a thread that started exploring these possibilities.

jeeze... how would u support the plant considering my idea of having many different points at which the plant is rooted? speaking of which... i am going to play with this idea in one of my plants in the greenhouse. I am going to extend some lower branches on a Blue Dream and bury a part of them at the outside rim of the pot... I'll see how it roots and whether the additional rooting areas speed up or slow down the plant's development compared to the other plants in the greenie.

Every thing you'll find locally is going to be based on fresh mushroom compost, not a very good start...

There is no one out of Redding that will send soil up the hill. Redi Gro is pretty much your go to people.

When the weather gets better I can put a pallet at a time, 2 if you want to be brave about it, and haul em up the drive way for ya'll to unload. Let me know.

The Strawberry cough never finished quite right. Got very big, but started flowering very late and the nug did not get dense. I would pull tarp on it as soon as everything else in the garden is in flower.... or just not grow it. Otherwise, the grow was successful inclusing a 6lb pineapple plus in a 200 gallon container. I have heard at least other report of the same thing.

the one i am talking about is pineapple PLUS. excellent yielder. amazing pienapple candy taste. very stoney. The clone was sourced in Redwood Valley. I'd love to get my hands on the cut.

MedResearcher - I tried to tell um to go to Sunshine, they couldn't find the spot.

This year I had 15 pallets delivered to the ranch. No hauling for me...except for moving it from one spot to another.

The weather in this country is wild. I don't know long you've been in this area Med, but in all my years here...I've seen it snow in July..Golf ball hail in June...Some times it gets wild in these parts..

nomaad-hmm, yeah me too, sounds like a great plant to grow. my friends pineapple buds smells of straight pineapple, but I'm sure every cut named pineapple is going to smell like pineapple..

i think i'll hold on it, already running blue dream, SSH cross, green crack, and KENs GDP..

Been here for the past 10-11 years, but my family has been up here for over 30 years.


I see your point about the names, I'll edit it out. I just figured since they only run a nursery and can use any extra business, besides the fact they really are the best deal in the county. Truely kind, environmental friendly, organic, cost conscience people/nursery.
