i bribe the safe address to go ahead and order them too.

makes it a little more expensive, but a categorical 'firewall' that you can trust can't hurt. consider it an insurance payment.

I hear using pre-paid credit cards is a good method of avoiding financial detection. I have them sent right to my door because I don't really expect to get busted for a few seeds. Even if I do, it's still a misdemeanor.

my advice is to order them from a country where there are legal seed businesses....e.g. U.K....Holland or Spain....btw it is not legal to sell seeds in or from Canada.....

if you are worried about sending them to your own home then find a safe adress...

If seeds are confiscated in transit (rarely happens) usually nothing comes of this for the recipient, other than the loss of the seeds, and a letter from the relevent customs department saying why they pinched your order......most often they really don't have the time to follow up on a few packs of seeds......

when you get bad seeds

when you get bad seeds

So far this forum doesn't mention getting "bad seeds." I've
paid for and received bad seeds from supposedly reliable
vendors in other countries. When I write to complain and ask
for replacements i'm ignored. What do you all do if you pay
for bad seeds? In one case I never received the seeds or
my money back.

What constitutes bad seeds? Surely they don't send out immature seeds or anything? Perhaps your germination methods weren't optimal? I don't have much experience buying seeds, what vendors gave you bad ones, can you give some more details?

Thanks for the reply
Bad seeds means they don't germinate using "standard" methods:
put in water (hope they sink); then wet paper towels with warmth and wait
for rootlets. Bad seeds don't germinate within days, others do.
Crack them open and they are dry/black inside.

this is the perpetual question on the grow sites
and part of the answer is, 'what state are you in'(or country, for that matter)
most states are like mentioned, customs letters and you're out some money
a few states are another deal entirely, Indiana comes to mind
and in those states i would plan out seed orders much more carefully
not to mention being very careful with your grow

I live in Indiana... what do you suggest? This will be my first attempt at an indoor grow. Also my first hydroponic grow. I wanted to try SOG with it. I have my eye on a feminized autoflowering indica strain for this. The Attitude Seedbank out of the U.K. is the company with this particular strain. What are your thoughts? I want to be safe and stoned not in the pen.

in Indiana, I think you want a rock solid safe address
buy seeds first, grow after you have all the seeds you want
if you can't put the safe address together, a remailing service may work for you
a remailer will receive your mail(for a monthly fee), then resend it to you
Indiana police and customs seem to work together much more than other states
most other states don't care, at least not enough to bother with tiny seed orders
so a remailer in most other states will likely not trigger activity if customs finds the seeds
most seeds gets through customs easily, but in the tough enforcement states you have to be more careful

Thanks for the advice. I have some good seeds from my outdoor grow of last summer. Damn good smoke. But, the girls are mostly sativa judging from their elongated leaves and height. Not ideal genetics for a SOG. I guess I can make them work though? After talking with you I don't think I'll risk ordering seeds. It's a pity Indiana has to be so damned backward. I am politically active here in the state and have hopes that one day the laws will change. Peace.
