Consensus on best way to store seeds?

i've stored mine in cool dark dry places i've never used desiccant or rice, i would think desiccant would dry out the seed but i could be wrong. viable seed have some moisture in them i would think desiccant could dry them out. i kept some old skunk seed from 1988-98 i saved in a 35mm film canister i still have some left lol. i currently keep my stash of beans in small gram baggies in a wooden cigar box in a dark metal lock box temps nice n cool.

I keep mine in an altoids tin with a little rice in the bottom in the fridge.
