I think Pinball was kidding, well i hope so because a few claymores will probably take out the plants as well as the ripper.

Mind you it seems like a good way to dig a hole and add plenty of blood n bone at the same time :)

yeah...I was only kidding...trip wire mines are banned, by international treaty, now.
(wish they had that in '68)..it's command operated, usually

I meant...Airsoft claymore..wouldn't hurt a fly

I used to have a Mini 14, 2 large dogs, and 10 acres. I shot off 30 round clips all the time. I'm pretty sure that was enough to keep people from trespassing. It was the kind of place where you could scream and shoot. Nobody would hear it.
I can't say that that was healthy living, and I'm done with guns and dogs nowadazzzzzzze.

How is finding 100 bucks someone LOST stealing?

My point is if you find something sitting in the forest and no one is around, you take it and don't look for who dropped it there.

Some things involve inherent risk in doing them. You play russian roulette, you risk getting shot. You grow outdoors, you risk getting "ripped."

This is more than "oh look a mareeewannna plant, lucky me!" This is a lot more thought out. Finding a $100 in the woods, sweet! Finding someones grow, neat... leave it alone.

Okay,if I was out walking in the woods and found a 100 dollar bill, yeah I guess I would tend to keep it. What, did a bear drop it? I STILL would not steal plants, they are NOT mine, and I already know what it feels like to find your little happy grow gone. The rippers are the ones that ought to be more careful, some people are REAL SERIOUS about protecting a grow.

I'm willing to bet a huge majority of people in this thread would take plants if they found them in the woods and no one is around. If you never tell anyone it never happened, and this is a cut throat world we work in.

This thread makes me wonder what the point of the helpful thread thing is. I've never seen a post with more "helpful" ratings than the original post and there is really nothing helpful about it, just venting complaints... I guess it's just a popularity contest, so I'm wondering how I disable mine? Thanks.

my IC->settings & options->edit options....it's the second one on the list...

It's bad enough for it to happen ONCE, but when you know it's the same person or group of persons taking your plants again and again, it's time to move to another location far away or either grow INDOORS.

I never had any luck with outdoor growing, either insects destroyed the plants, animals like coons or possums dug up the plants, or I had the plants hidden so well from sky cops that they weren't getting enough sun so they never finished. I tried many Summers back in the 1990's to do outdoor grows and always was plagued with failure.

When I started growing indoors I was skeptical at first but I'll never go back to outdoor growing. I've had nothing but success growing indoors, I think indoors is the way to go. A small 2x2 or 3x3 closet grow with a good carbon scrubber fan/filter for odor removal and either a 250 watt or 400 watt HPS will give most people the yield they need to get by from harvest to harvest and you don't have to worry about someone digging up your plants. Grow Indoors is my advice.

Thanks for all ya'lls posts.

I like growing indoors and outdoors as well. No more outdoor for me as it is gettin old being ripped over and over.

Indoors in summertime here at my ghetto grow, it gets too hot in the summer. I tried it, ran AC, just not worth the trouble and effort due to high temps.

Yes, I could move, or build an underground secret lair, but it ain't happening :)

I like growing outside, the sun is FREE, and the harvests are way bigger.

I ain't gonna steal little baby plants, no I sure ain't. If I find YOUR outdoor grow and it has big fat buds all over??? Yup, I will cut off One Big Bud, and leave the rest where I find it.

This Ripper likes to steal baby clones, and move them to ???

I am getting real tired of it, and refuse to put out a single plant anymore outside. The End.

I will probably put out a nice batch of MALE unsexed clones for the ripper... It will take a little work, but it will be worth it.

I now live and grow in Colorado,MMJ registered too, but I used to live in Georgia, I noticed you are a southerner. I too hated the Summer temps and hellish heat of the south, that's why I left Georgia, I also hated living with extreme paranoia when I had a 400 watt HPS in my closet. I too know what it's like growing indoors in the deep south, one way I got around this was I kept my light cycle on from 7 pm-to-7am , the plants were in darkness during the hottest part of the day.

I still grow that way now in the COLD Colorado weather. The lights come on at 7 pm-to-7am, and the heat from the lights actually help keep the plants warm during the cold night. So the light cycle works good in Summer and Winter, plus....your power bill is more when you use more power during peak hours of the day.

Your right about outdoor yields being larger, but some herb is better than NO herb. There's people who are pulling around 2 ounces off an Aerogarden Deluxe, those made-in-china sold -on-TV mini-growing machines. There's always a way.

I used to have between $320-to-$380 electric bills during the months of June,July,Aug, Sept. , because I never would let it get above 74 degrees anywhere in the house, it could be 104 outside but still under 75 degrees inside, though part of the bill was my 400 watt HPS and a few fans that ran 24 hrs. always, most of it was my central a/c that ran around the clock.

Since I've lived in Colorado my power bill has never been above $178.00, and I keep a 400 watt HPS burning 12 hours , every night. I lived in Georgia from 1976 when I was born till last year when I left, and I only regret not having left sooner.

If I'm walking in the woods and find plants, you better believe that I'm taking them. It's fair game because they are not on your property. If I come to your yard and see plants, I'll leave them alone. If you don't want people taking your plants, grow them on your own property. At least it'll be someone like me who finds them instead of a cop.

umm idk if it has been said but what if it is just a string of "bad luck" and different people are finding and taking your plants and it probably isn't a L.E.O because they would probably just chop em or stomp em and would have confronted you by now lol imagine your the lucky one and it is a leo and they just haven't spotted you haha

Don't say stupid shit like that. You have never and will never kill someone over some stupid plants that you put in somebody else's forest. Suggesting it is asinine.

He is 100% right. If you grew the plants on your own property, you'd have a claim to them. The moment you attempt a guerrilla grow in someone else's backyard, they aren't your plants anymore.

In other words: if you park your car in someone else's driveway, expect to get tower.

Oh yeah?

So you're telling me it is not OK to potentially grow on someone else's land (how would you know who's land it is?) but it is OK for you to trespass on it AND commit theft!?

WTF is wrong with you?

Come down and find out the difference between wrong parking and even only trying to rip plants that are not yours!
