The OP somehow associated Mexican Cartels into the mix and came up with very sensational title...so now this thread is jacked and people are going off all over the place. Pretty funny.

Nobody is disputing the reach of the Cartels. But would the cartels torch cars in city parking lots??? No they drive up in 6 trucks with 30 guys and empty 2,000 rounds in your ass.

They are armed with assault rifles, grenades, and in the latest raid weapons were found that were capable of bringing down helicopters and low-flying aircraft.

I do not wish death upon any LEO ( except those few and you know who i am talking about) but they chose to work in that profession. Some get corrupted by the power that comes with the job and they develop big heads with even bigger bullying tactics. They turn to stealing the drugs and shaking down the locals so they can make the profit themselves.

These LEO's that were targeted obviously were being funded by the proceeds of raids and questionable seizures so they had every reason to go after SOFT targets like cannabis users but it looks now like they are participants in THEIR WAR ON DRUGS.

Sounds to me like you are getting what you asked for so what are you complaining about? I would probably be right by saying that every week somebody gets killed by LEOS in botched raids where falsified evidence was presented in order to obtain the req search warrant but when LEOS are threatened all hell breaks loose????

The USA has for far too long imposed its will on many nations of this earth through coercion, bullying and the threats of with-holding aid so i am not surprised to see the "cartels" fight back.

I have seen my share of really nasty cops who i would not even consider to be human. They have lied on the stand to the judges face to convict me of some bullshit but i fought back and took it to court and won. This is what happens when you fight back. You kick their ass.

I know being a cop must not be a nice job but i did not choose that job you did. Dont complain to me when people are taking pop shots at you when you are killing innocent people and throwing innocent people in jail with falsified testimony so your department can have the latest TAZER.

Fuck corrupt, bullying, COPS as they deserve nothing short of the electric chair or a bullet in the head. Forget a trial...give me the gun and i will shoot the ones that wronged me as i know %100 that they are guilty.

a former friend of mine lives way to close to where one of those houses was and we had no Fing clue they were using the house to kidnap or dump bodies. Hell the swat raid went down and we did not know anything. It was a cul-de-sac street and we would see everybody that drove to that street and you never would have thought anything.

They certainly do have political clout, and if they don't agree with the drug war than their avenue could be Law Enforcement Against Prohibition and they should go on strike until the laws are changed. Anything else is pure hypocrisy. To perpetuate a war on cannabis users and growers, for a "crime" where there is NO VICTIM, is just asking to get fucked up by someone who stands to lose a lot of money in this black market game. This is a war, and in any war there are casualties. Of course those on the frontlines are gonna get hit the hardest. Don't want to die in a bullshit war? 1) don't sign up to be a frontline soldier 2) end the war.

I agree with SpasticGramps 100%. I certainly am not going to give up my life in some futile attempt to go to war with the police. The cartels are now doing that for us! The more dead feds the better. My sympathies to the families though, hopefully they will realize that the tragedy of their family member's death could have been avoided a) by not choosing such a parasitic career in the first place and b) if drugs, ALL drugs, were regulated by the government, and cannabis legalized for private consumption and sale, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE OCCURRING TO BEGIN WITH! And those families will then lobby their congressman to change the laws which got their loved one killed

Not to mention but how do these idiots expect to ever see any positive results on the war on drugs when most the money is spent on supply and not demand until anybody can pick up a phone and get treatment on command there is going to be a strong demand for drugs that is only going to get stronger. As far as the drug cops go most of them are no better then the dealers they bust probably worst they don't do it because they think drugs are bad they do it for the rush they love the rush of breaking a door down and finding lots of drugs and money the DEA is nothing more then the modern day SS.
