no flush needed with drip clean from my own experience
10k Watt Open Bulb Grow , Going For 20 lbs.....

thanks for the kind words, will be cutting down this week most likely. maybe just cut the top half of the plants and let the bottoms go 7-10 days longer? dont think i will hit the magical 20 lb mark, but most likely 15-17 lb's. i flowered the kens gdp to small to get big weight out of them, there 15-18" tall.
this next round im switching one room over to try to emulate doubleled's grow's. he has 10 plant grows yielding over 40 lb's using a super dwc system that he made. never have done dwc before, scared as hell to ruin everything because to outfit the room will cost some coin to do it right. i figure fuck it, lets give it a rip. also just scored his beans to try his super high yielding '86 g13 hybrid. really excited.......time to change.......
turbolaser4528 - drip would be ideal, but impractical the way its set up right now. no dehumidifier, no need for one, plus im starting to try a higher temp, humidity combo and it seems to be working out nicely, these rooms get to 86f on purpose.
schrews - about 5 ft tall, shes a lanky bitch and cal mag starved. wont put much calmag in res , i want to prevent phosphorus lockout as much as possible. cut some down and took to Oregon at day 56, pretty damn dank for being so early, through Oregon for a loop with that one.....
aeroguerilla - hell ya, that would be the way to do it! could even vert them if you wanted....
lazyman - great idea! been lucky with the burns, the bulbs sizzle when the touch the top of my head, lol!
L - immortal - shes not finicky, just cal mag starved, shes still going to yield decent though. ya, i think these will be the best aliendogs to date, but taking there sweet time.
~shhh~ - smoked both, love both, definite pleasures to smoke. the fire is some of the stinkiest and tastiest og ive come across, straight from the breeders hands. the aliendog is crazy tasty, taste you cant put into words, will floor and elite smoker...
teeg420 - haven't done enough grows with the fire to know if its a good yielder. shes seems to be a decent yielder. i feed her the same as everything else, she is a cal mag whore though. reverse lucas? as in more grow?
kens gdp is looking very good, but it came with powder mildew and its starting to herm, and not from stress, so fuck that strain....
caligreen - the aliendog is dank bro, wont be disappointed!
guywithoutajeep - that was me. i flush at the end for 2-3 days, checking my runoff. your runoff could be 2000+ and have it under 250 in two regular waterings, with runoff of course. i also really reduce the amount of nutrient at the end, opting for more organics.

interesting about the reverse lucas...... the alien cheese is the alien formaggio, some of my most favorite smoke, absolutely love it! my favorite pheno has super room clearing stink of grapefruit and is calaxed out. just picked up some alien kush f2's seeds....
Good luck with the doubleds system... I can't wait to see that show. It looks like Texas Kid and Jackmayoffer at the farm are going big with their under current systems also.... Have you ever considered doing one last coco grow using big smart pots? Do you have any experience or opinions on smart pots by the way???

just as im getting settled into coco and emulating your grow style for large scale ops, you go and switch it up on me! lol its all good tho.
just ironic because i went through all of doubleds threads month's ago THEN switched to coco for what i thought was the best of both worlds, i guess now im doubting it for large grows..
im curious as to why you wanna switch tho man, I feel like you could nail some 3+ lb plants in coco without building his whole system. (even though 3 weeks veg yielding 3-4lbs is pretty fucking legit)
maybe just applying his room design (co2, 20k vert, low plant #'s, surrounded by light on all sides, etc..) you could get there?
i guess i wanna believe coco is where its at even for 10-20k medical ops. maybe instead of pure hydroton in doubleds med patient buckets, mix in like 40% coco ? haha FAWWWKK idk, take care man good luck and I cant wait to see you grow the shit outta that system!!!!
