i have 15 days left till harvest and i have found seed pods on my plants!! all of my grows are from clones from a female!! how the hell does this happen and is there anything i should do? i dont want another grow to go like this. do i need to wash down the room for pollen now or what?! my light cycle has been somewhat less than consistent than it has been with other grows. can they have hermied from the light cycles being eratic? some times it has been on as long as two hours over the 12 and sometimes the light goes on a little early and also a little late. light is not on a timer this time so i have to do it manualy when i get home from work which is never the same time every day also i have over slept and havent gotten to turning it off for sometimes two hours? fuck fuck fuck!!!! how do i keep this shit from going on again?.......tinman

You already answered your own question.

Get yourself a timer, preferably one that has a battery back-up so it won't get "out of alignment" in case of an outage.

Just water alone kills pollen.

So use a spray bottle if you're worried and you're all set.
cool cool! i can see the seed pods,so do i have to worry about getting pollen on my vegging plants when i go into the veg room to water them? and when i harvest and hang them do i have to worry about pollenating my other plants? is there pollen at this stage?

Once the pollen starts flying it'll be all over...if you have AC it will spread it...it'll get on your clothes and there is a high potential you'll be dusting around pollen all over the place...

Bingo.

While it's possibly not your fault (all mj plants have the ability to change sex) the light schedule should be stabilized. Plants don't know much but, they know light. It governs their entire life cycle. One or three screw ups per grow wont hurt but, screwing the schedule daily tells the plant that the sun is going nova and if the species is going to survive, they have to reproduce NOW!!!

Even the best timer is less than an oz on the street. A one time investment that may well last your lifetime. Such a deal...

i have done the same thing when not on a timer...ideally, look at your plants, identify which ones threw the nanners, ignore seeds on plants WITH the nanners, but plants in your room w seed and NO nanners may/should be feminized seed(from my understanding anyway). depending on what strains you have you may have some interesting crosses! good luck sorting!

light stress can cause sex change. noting more to say

Sex change does not require light stress or feminized seeds. All mj has the ability to change sex, including outdoor plants under the perfect light regimen of the sun. It's quite possible the light regimen wasn't the cause.

Still, a proper light regimen is too easy and inexpensive to pass up.

First off, are you even sure they're seeds? Tiny green balls inside the calyx aren't necessarily seeds. These TURN into seeds if they are pollinated, but are otherwise normal on a healthy female.

A Home Depot 24h timer is $10... don't you think $10 is worth saving you the hassle of manually turning the lights on/off and possibly ruining months of hard work?

Water will kill it. Just wash down your area and equipment.

Here's a nanner (named for it's banana like shape) just above the center of the shot. Note there was no light stress. Light stress is not required however, preventing light stress is so easy and cheap you'd be silly to pass it up.

FYI you completely misunderstood what you were being told about the female plants with nanners that produced seeds. With your neophyte level of growing experience you need to say less and digest more of what people are saying to help you. You cannot guarantee a sinsemilla crop even with female clones, cannabis is a survivor and will survive in spite of our best intentions.

i went and put a timer on it.so,how do i know whether it has been pollenated? the buds have allways been nice and tight but now they are like spliting and growing in different directions almost like brocolli.
