For safeties sake I am going to spray with the bi-weekly neem treatment tomorrow and I still have the NO PEST strip in the tent. I still have seen no signs of spidermites in over two weeks :). Will be changing the reservoir to full-strength flower nutes tomorrow! These ladies are just now beginning to stink...can't wait!

Heres some thoughts on that:

I've found that the plants really use up N to the point on becoming N deficient during the first week of stretch. Its my opinion not to change over to bloom nutrients so quickly after the 1st day of 12/12. Stretch usually lasts 2 weeks.

Now there are some people that say the veg formula and its high nitrogen profile will delay flowering, I disagree, the plant will be using so much nitrogen during that phase for building mass.

Run 7 days on veg formula after 12/12 or as long as 14. Then swap to bloom nutes.

You should see significant budding around day 14.

I used a transition formula for the first week of flower that had a lot of N in it, now I am using full-bloom nutes...sort of like what you were saying

These plants are turning into some serious beasts! I started them on the full flowering nutes yesterday and I think they are very happy!!! :dance013: I am starting to see a lot of action in the tips, where many hairs are starting to grow and the foliage is beginning to become more dense. :tiphat: :jump:

Looking at the grow bible, I believe some of my plants to have potassium deficiency. I think this should be fixed with the bloom nutes, but I am going to keep an eye on them. Here is a few pics so you can get a better idea.

Other than that everything seems to be on track.

Cheers!!!

Hey Calbear. Been following the grow. Very nice and moving along well. I noticed the 70% humidity, now that you're in flower, I'd check out this thread...

It helped out my room and girls and it might help yours too.

Ya I'v really been thinking about a de-humidifier, but I haven't had the funds. The damn weather in Oakland has been really rainy for the last few months also so it directly affects my rh. I have nice circulation in there, but it doesn't seem to be enough. May have to figure something else out...any cost-effective ideas?

Flowering Update Day 12
72 degrees 78% humdity

Good morning! The ladies are looking great, starting to get some flowers, and are starting to smell like a skunk! They are drinking about 4 gallons of water per day, making my daily workload a little bit more than it has been.

I realize that my humidity is too high and I am trying to find a dehumidifier on Craigslist, but just waiting to find the right price. If anyone lives in the Bay Area and is looking to get rid of one for a good price, please IM me.

I posted a thread in the infirmary because of what I believe to be potassium deficiency. Check it out here: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=163111

Other than that, these ladies look wonderful. There are more new photos in my album. Check it out here: http://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=13323

I have been running into a little bit of problems with my current dwellings. We had several flooding problems, which the landlord neglected to fix properly, so now we may have to move out so that he can fix problems with mold. I don't know what I am going to do with my setup and it is worrying me just a little. I am trying to finish this up before we have to move, COME ON LADIES!!! Worst-case-scenario I will have to move the plants about 150 miles to my buddy's house...something I do not want to have to do!

Cheers!!!!

Good morning!

As you can see from the pics, there are some REALLY nice flowers blooming :dance013:

Like I said in the previous post I have been having a few issues with my living situation. Luckily, we have figured out our gameplan as tenants and I am going to be able to finish by the time I have to move :clock watch:

Other than that, I am still looking around for a dehumidifier on Craigslist for around $50. I know I really need it and soon because I don't want anymore problems, but I cannot seem to find one for a good price. If anyone lives in the Bay Area and is willing to sell one for a good price, please let me know!

I would love to hear some comments about what is going on...What do you think guys?!? :thank you:

Here are some pics and there are more in my album:

Happy St. Patrick's Day...I have been seeing green for the last few months!!!! :clover:

Big update today guys. I hate to say it, but I should have listened to GrowerGoneWild and switched to 12/12 earlier as these beasts are too tall. I woke up yesterday to find the tallest lady had grown about 4" overnight and was touching the glass on the bottom of the reflector! So yesterday I took several of the tallest branches that are almost touching the light and tied them down. When I checked them this morning it seemed like they are doing pretty well, and trying to reach for the light again. I just have to keep tying these ladies down for the next two weeks as one of roommates is moving and I am going to move the growroom into her room. It should be a good thing once I finally move them as I will have a ton more space and it will be much easier to lightproof. :dance013:

There are more new pics in the album...these ladies are getting some beautiful flowers!!! Enjoy and CHEERS!!!

What kind of exhaust fan do you have? I too live in the bay area and was forced to use 2 exhaust fans for my area to keep humidity down (especially at night when temps drop). I also went and bought a AC/dehumidifier that I use during the summer months but take it out all other times to reduce power usage and give me space for 1-2 more plants in my flower area.

I have a 6" Vortex, but the temps have forced me to put it on a timer (15 minutes per hour) to keep it from getting too cold. Since the weather has been nicer I have been leaving it on all day, which seems to be helping. I am at 60% now. At day 21, how pertinent/important is it that I get a dehumidifier?

Let me say first off you doing an excellent job to date. Now to your question its really strain dependant. Sometimes you can get away with high humidity all the way thru with little or no ill effects. On the flipside of that coin (most likely scenario) you could lose a very hefty portion to bud rot. If you have to beg borrow or steal (not literally) get a de humidifier in there ASAP. My .02c anyways

Going to get one by the end of the week, thanks for the advice

Update Flowering Day 24

Good morning ICMag!!!

I took a little trip so I have not been able to update in the past few days. I had my roommate keep tabs on things at the home-front, which turned out with mixed results. I needed him to just tie these things down as they got too big and fill the water; both of which weren't done. So I have a few burned tips and the ph and ppm were way out of whack when I got home. I just think that I wasn't clear but it shows that there is only one person you can fully count on and thats yourself. Long story short, I had a long morning of filling water and tying these babies down.

Other than these setbacks these girls are monsters!!! They keep growing up into the light and when I tie them down, several other branches literally rise to the occasion. I have about a week until the other roommate is gone and I will have free-reigns to a MUCH bigger space. Can't wait. The dehumidifier is on the way...need that thing soon. The flowers on these girls are getting more-and-more beautiful and bulky as well. There will be new pics in my album.

So just I'm just sitting here watching these ladies grow. Post any comments or questions...Cheers Guys!!!

Anyone have any ideas about what week I should start flushing? I have looked up the flowering times for Chem D and it is 70-75 days and about the same for OGs, so what do you think? Flush around day 60-65?

Nothing really new to update...there are new pics in my album though. If anyone has any comments (especially compliments) I am all ears!!!

Cheers!!!
