I will extract a few photos of the city, in spite of the fact that she has 3400 inhabitants, it is a city, the only one of vizcaya, centuries ago the king gave to she the privilege, upload more photos and it will tell you something of his city, since it is a medieval city, even some walls remain, the castle for one century destroy.

There are the old walls of the city and the church.

Stretch of wall belonging to the original 13th century construction,It is made up of two squat towers, the firts of witch has a loophole. It is estimated that 65 percent of the town wall of Orduña still forms part of the rear walls of a number of its houses.

Thanks friends, more photos about the walls and the old Church.

The parish church of Sta.Maria is built against the wall, forming part of the defensive structure of the town.the parapet walk runs throught its apse and transept, perforating the buttresses via low bays. The construction of the parish church began at the end of the 13th century, but most of the building work took place during the 14th century and the church was finally in the 15th century. It is predominantly Gothic in style.

In order that the thread takes an a bit clear order, I put a few photos of the palaces of the city, they are of different centuries.

Mansion Of The Ortes Velasco Family.

This is the least urban of the mansions that have survived to the present day and has a slightly military feel.It dates back to the 16th century and is a Renaissance in style.Along the eastern side there is an extension of the original structure thats look into a garden of greater architectural value. The first building was made in ashlar stone throughout and its doors, framed by Doric style columns, are specially interesting.

QUe Chulada de Vista, eres muy afortunado estar en una chulada do area y paiz..

Wow what a beautiful place, can't wait to go there, ooooohh weeeee, can imagine the History too... GOtta love History...Thank You Bocil for sharing this with us!

God Bless You!
