@ wcdf: I bought my White Label white Skunk back in 2006 when i did not have much knowledge in cannabis genetics...so i simply purchased the cheapest seeds i found. I got a pack of 16 regular beans for only 12€.
I grew them in Hydro in 2007 and in Low pressure Aero this winter.

On a total of 8 females i observed 3 phenotypes:

-A medium tall one with very dark leaves, good resin producer, average yielder, the smell is like old alcohol quite unusual and strong smelling.Ready in 55 days.I would says it's the pheno described by the breeder. Not tested the smoke yet,it's drying ^^

-A taller one, more sativa leaning pheno wih thiner leaves, average yielder, the smell is sweet citrus, producing less resin than the alcohol pheno.Ready in 60 days,it has a sweet smoke with an uplifting high and relaxing stone in the end. Something common but good for daytime smoking.

-The third pheno i observed was a kind of mutant! This was the bigger yielder i have ever seen. The plant really look lke a huge indica,i mean it's tall like a sativa but has very wide leaves like an indica,a true hybrid. The smell is like a woody grapefruit, strong and hurting the nose, average resin producer, the plant finishes in 65 days. The smoke dries your mouth and has an almost acid taste fresh and spicy. The top bud of the plant was like a rugby ballon, this single bud dry weight was 82g.,the total plant was around 185g.

So,i would say that for the price, you can find very intersting things, both pheno are easy to grow they accept lots of nutes and lots of light. The mutant pheno was spider resistant with outrageous vigor,i still have 5 beans of this pack in my fridge,i wish i can grow that pheno again and keep a mother of it.

Thanks guys, yhe girls are drying except for very sativa pheno of this curious "Afghani"...

I'll post nugshots later beacause i manicure them in two steps,so at the moment, calyxs are hidden by the smallest leaves than i keep for making hash.

I'll post new pictures in about 10 days when the second trimming is done.

But i can write my first observations:

-Hashberry: very reliable strain my 3 females share exactly the same phenotype. Short sized, not too branchy, almost colomnar. Good resin production. The yield is poor, but as the breeder says: Hashberry doesn't like nutes that much and induce a loss in production, that seems to be right. Anyway, the smell is very pleasant, from earthy to blueberry with a hint of hash. Mandala seems to say the truth about their strains. Good thing.

-Afghani Hindu Kush: Once again my 2 pheno really look the same, short plants with short internodes and a decent yielder. The buds turn 40% purple during the bloom so it's a very esthetic strain, nice tiny christmas tree with high resin production. The smell is not that strong, very earthy with a hint of wood, but a bit too weak for my taste.

-White Skunk: Only one female but very nice hybrid pheno, medium sized with sativa leaves very good calyx/leaf ration, very easy to trimm. The buds are very nice looking with dark green and lots of white resin creating a beautiful contrast. The smell is disturbing, really smelling alcohol and sour sugar with a hint of mint. Never smelled that before. Interesting...

-"Afghani#1": Definetly not a pure Afghanica, the plants are very tall, very sativa leaning phenos.Very high yielder with very long buds loaded with resin. The smell is very strong with Grapefruit/Gasoline aroma hitting your senses.
2 distinct phenos, looking almost the same but one is flowering faster and yield almost 40% less than huge one that takes almost 90 days to finish and gives fat buds of the size of a fist.

Can't wait for the drying to finish ^^

That is some today pictures of the fucked up pheno of Afghani#1:

That's the last plant in the room, still feeding:

After 96 days of flowering ,i finally harvested my A#1(pheno1).
Useless to say that it's not an Afghani#1 at all...

I stopped her at 96 days only because i needed the flowering room for other plants ,because it was still producing calyxs, she might need something like 120 days to express her full potential.

In my opinion this phenotype offert a bad calyx to leaf ratio.
The buds are a nightmare to trim but leaves are fortunately resin-coated ,promising a nice bubble-hash.

The smell is kind of strong. It reminds me the odor of onion or dirty smelling people with a spicy background.

And of course,as you can see, buds are pretty huge, this is a 1,5l. water bottle:

And my fist:

Nice show, remember me same phéno on shiva shanti 1 and 2 from sensi seeds..If one Icmager remember the exact name of this phéno that would be pretty cool!

@ Ramius: Bushots and smoke reports to come when curing is fine,in about 3 weeks minimum. Thanks for your interest ^^

@Braindead: Yes,we talked about it. Maybe guys from Lamota mistaken Shiva Shanti for Afghani#1...I have to say that the more it dries, the more the smell is spicy, wait and see...

My AHK are pretty fine, unfortunately they were shaded by the two big phenos of A#1 so they could not perform at their max possibilities...but still very resinous and nicely colored.

That is insanely long flowering for an Afghani, I think I would throw it out. I doubt that it's a pure Afghani, something must of gotten into it's genes. Perhaps Maroc, those can flower pretty long.

@ OrganicMonkey: For sure,an Afghani would not have grown this tall and for so long.
For Maroc,i don't know...i just think the guys that sent it to me made a mistake when they packed those seeds.

@FFawler: I do agree man,i am suspicious about it since the beginning and i explain it in this thread.
I have talked about it with Braindead, and Shiva Shanti I seems to match the grow and the fragance (garlic, unusual to me...),but the flowering time isn't Shiva Shanti's...maybe it's a totally different strain.
I hesitate between calling her Alpha1(pheno 1) [for Afghani#1 and opposition to the second pheno i found in this strain] and Shiva Shanti...

Here's an update!
I have dried and smoked four of my plants.

Honestly, smoke report is not very necessary because they all taste and have very casual effects,so i'll give a brief description of each.

I renamed the Afghani#1 into "Alpha I" because it's definitly not an Afghani strain, maybe a Shiva Shanti (for the typically garlic smell of pheno 1)

White Skunk: Menthol smell, smooth taste with fruity undertones, the high is cerebral with a light stone after effect. A good daytime smoke. Top buds foxtailed a bit.
picture.php

Alpha I pheno 2: The smell is chemical with a spicy background. The tatse is mid Spicy-mid sandalwood but not very strong. The high is cerebral,a bit racy with a much comfortable stone after effect. Buds are tipically sativa, yet a good yielder.
picture.php

Afghani Hindu Kush pheno 3:
Earthy smell with a hint of wood. The taste is Hashy, very pleasant but leaves the mouth dry if puffed a lot. The effect is pure indica style,3 puffs and you go to bed!!!
Special, but very pleasant to chill out or...going to bed ^^ The buds are not very compact for an indica but some calyx have nice purple color.
picture.php

Hashberry: Very nice smell, fits the description given by Mandala of red berries. Truly pleasant to smell. The taste is quite common, hashy with a hint of berries. The effect is couchlocking,it freezes your mind, perfect for depressive behavior ^^ Buds are a bit fluffy for an indica but they were lacking of light because of this godamn fucking fake "Afghani#1" pheno taking too much space in the room...

Two of my plants are missing in this little report: Afghani Hindu Kush pheno 1 and Alpha I pheno 1. They will be added hen manicured and smoked.

Nice covered nugs buddy! looks good shit! ;)

The name of the afghane line from sensi seeds with strange smells is "garlic bud" found on shiva shanti 1 and 2 ^^

Keep it up :)

Thanx bro!
One thing i forgot to say is that they are all nicely resin-coated,good thing for cheap strains.

For the Garlic Bud,we talked about it last time,i researched and found an article about Garlic pheno of Shiva Shanti. It really smells like it,but without any solid proof i deceided to call it "Alpha I" in reference that it was labelled "Afghani#1"...see what i mean? ;-)

A friend of mine just left the house,he tested those four strains tonight and found them pretty fine. He's been growing for over 10 years and is an heavy toker,so i trust him.

I am pretty inflexible with my strains, that's because just before i harvest,i smoked ECSD,AK-47,Bubba Kush,Sweet Skunk and the only Braindead#1...

After such a fine selection in my everyday smoke,i admit to be a bit severe ^^

What is fun is the fragances my friend discovered, and after he told me i found he was right:

-Alpha I: he smelled the sea, seaweed, typical low tide fragance.
-Afghani Hindu Kush: he found a yogorth perfume.
-White Skunk: He found she smelled like cheese with a hint of mint.
-Hashberry: he smells the same as me.

I'm glad that he really enjoyed his smoke =)
