IM BUILDING A NEW GROWROOM

hey all after my psychosis grow has finished in 6 weeks im going to do away with my darkroom (4x4) and build a hidden room in the out house were the tent is .

the space i have is 4ft wide by 7 and a half ft and just over 6ft high .
i want the growroom to be 4ft wide by 5ft and 6ft tall .
that will leave me 2 and a half ft for ballasts ,extractors ,res ect ect

im going to be useing drippers (topspin 12 )
a sunsytem xxl air cooled hood 6" and 6" rvk extractor /
im useing a rvk 6" and rhyno filter
and a rvk 125 for intake .

all i realy need to know is .... will a 1000w hps (air cooled sunsystem xxl ) cover the 4ft by 5ft ok ?

You want to reach at least 50 watts per square foot so 4x5 divided by 1000 watts eqal 50 so yes you are good to go.

It should. The best way for you to tell is to turn on the light, You want you canopy within, the "horizon".. The area on your wall where the light and dark meet

a 1000 watt bulb is normally good for 7x7, with obviously directly under the bulb being teh best spot, so to combat this, just rotate your plants

hard to say depends on a few things...

Ambient temp of room

and if the strain does ok under heat. The cooled hood will help alot, but what you got to do is use the hand technique, put your hand under the bulb, if it feels hot on your hand,The top of your hand, it is too hot for the plants

ive got a heat gun for that test . and 1 for the lums too .

the 6" extractor will be sucking in from out side the room in the 2 and a half ft ay 4ft spare space were the fans and ballasts will be . theres also a small window there too what will be open 24/7 . and blowing out at the far side of the room straight out side . im going to cover both ends of the 6" ducting with cookhood filter to stop small bugs ect ect .

yes im useing that now on my intake for my 1m budbox . ive got a spare 2ft by2ft cookhood filter so ill use that . roll on 6 weeks time realy looking forward to building my 1st big room .

go bare bulb vertical... the reflector causes much of the heat your are trying to expel. take care of your HVAC issues first and you will have a much easier time setting up a room. perfect environment means bigger & better yields. more lights can be added once your temps are completely controllable.

na bare bulb will be no good as the room is only 6ft tall and im doing x6 2ft bushes on drip tables .

IMHO distance from ligth to canopee depend on 1 thing (temp. at canopee)
should be around 75-77deg and 85-90 with co2 and good atmospheric
control .but roughtly between 18' and 24'inch normaly this kind of reflector are optimise to 4x4 footprint

i often get better results from the plants around the edge of the garden, further from the bulb. the gradual angle of the light and the cooler temps encourage more resin production
