Can someone please post up pictures and a step by step guide on how to cut clones from the mother plant? Where exactly on the mother plant can u take the clones from for best result and how do u slice the stem? I've search and read through a lot of cloning how to but none have what im looking for. I just bought a ez-cloner and some clonex but i have no idea where to start and what to cut and slice. im the type that needs to see pictures to get it. :wallbash:

Really simple, cut about 4 nodes down from the branch you'd like to get the cutting from. Make sure it's at a 45 degree angle (basically diagonally). Once cut, put clone DIRECTLY in water until you get ready to use the clonex. Once you use the clonex put the cutting in whatever medium your using (rockwool, rapid rooter, peat pods, etc.) then put them in a humidity dome of some sort and spray the foilage and cover the dome. In about 10 days or so they should start rooting. Once it's rooted then place them into your medium to grow!

P.S. Yes, like said above you should just look in the forums for the sticky on this, but I don't mind helping ya out!

WestCrazy i guess you owe your his first rooted cutting to Italiano, hope its something good.

Thank you Natagonnaworrie, words of encouragement are a great lift. I really appreciate all the love! LoL and I'm down for the clone too by the way :D

that kinda makes sense but i guess im gonna have to try it first to really see if i get it or not. also i'll be growing the sfv og kush swerve's cut so u know its gonna be bomb, and if i can get the cloning down i dont mind giving u a clone :rasta:

another question is it better to leave the light on 24hrs for the clones to root better? if yes what if my mother plant is in the same room as my clones? Will leaving the light on 24hrs make the mother grow faster/slower?

There are a lot of speculation over if 24/0 schedule makes your grow faster, but personally for a already established mother plant (with roots) I would recommend 18/6. For the clones I'd just use a fluorescent on 24/0 until they establish enough roots to be placed in the growing medium. Then from there I go to 20/4 for a couple of weeks and then to 18/6 the remainder of time until the flowering phase.

what if my clones share the same space as my mother? should i still leave the lights on 24/0? or should i just go with 18/6?

Clones don't need 24 hours of light. 18/6 is fine. Stuff them in there with the mom and keep the lighting schedule the same. Plants "grow" in the dark, they save light energy in the day and convert it at night (growth). So a night schedule is helpful, just like you need time to sleep.
Clones don't need intense light, they need moisture (humidity) a regular veg schedule, and tend to root faster with a propagation mat (the one thing no one mentioned).
You can 24/0 but to me its just a waste of energy.

imho, 24/0 is the way to go for ANY new clone or even seedlings.. Even though they still grow when the light is out, they have no (or very little) actual root, so the leaves have to work overtime to feed the plant without any help from the root system. Having the extra few hours light means the plant can develop the new root system without having to use any "stored" energy in the plant.

as for the mother being in the same room.. I always veg 24/0 for more growth, and it's always worked beautiful for me, so having a mother 24/0 wouldnt be an issue.
