Can anyone tell me if my plant is ready to harvest yet? Sorry it's not the best pic. It's starting to smell quite nice and is covered in white crystals.... This is my first attempt at growing my own, I've being growing this in natural light for 9-10 months now and I'm dying to smoke it! lol

wow those are some fucked up looking plants. Probably just b/c of the light. You are quickly running out of time with natural light, I would chop them soon. The days are getting longer, its gonna go back into veg.

just make sure you let them get 12 hours of dark and youll be fine. yes they are at least three weeks away from being done if not more

SATIVA

By the look on this one it must be sativa not to mention the time you have had this bad ass girl with you, I do colombian sometimes and takes me a full year sometimes to get somethng out of it, well worth every minute of waiting.
One of your shots shows the plant nearly there so just hang in there, leaves looked very green still.

go to radioshack, buy a $10 handheld microscope. Put it up against the buds and focus it with the magnification towards the 60x. Look at the trichomes and see if there are any amber ones compared to the clear/cloudy ones. Good luck bro, from what I can tell it should be some killer smoke since you got a nice flush on her with her lighter green leaves. Enjoy!

Trich's are Trichomes, the mushroom looking like stalked glands, reference here:

Take care!

agreed, not done yet

make SURE they have 12 hours of COMPLETE DARKNESS, put them in a closet, or put a lightproof bag over it,.....but the above is correct, daylength is increasing now, and it will slow your ripening down, and eventually it will revert back to veg if you just leave it in natural light like that.

the suggestion for the handheld microscope/jewelers loupe is a good one, great way to determine harvest.

if you know when you first saw flowers on her, you can figure roughly 10-12 weeks to ripen (for a sativa like yours) under ideal conditions, and figure it out from there.

YES HE IS PATIENT. But it looks like it is paying off.

You have a ways to go. If you look around in the pix forum you will see macros of trichs. I do not look at a seed pack that says 55 days and chop it down on day 55. You can look at the trichs and see that when they start turning from a clear white to honey brown is when you might want to take that lady down. That is my personal pref. Use a magnifying glass or a loop to check out your trichs. From the looks of her she is just starting to form them.

Good luck, remember you will get out of her what you put in.

They pack on the weight in the last couple weeks, get your self a radio shack microscope and monitor the trichs untill you see about 10% amber colored trichs and then flush with straight water for a sold ten days before harvesting. Also give her some nutes if you have stopped, the last few weeks she will want the nutes, then a good flush. Good luck

next time try a more indica strain or else you will grow old waiting for that lanky laidy to finish..... if you get some auto flowers now in 60 days you'll have smoke

Incubus,

Don't listen to these fools!

That looks like an almost pure sativa you have(looks frickin' awesome, by the way! nice job!). If you can be patient and wait until less than 20% of the hairs are white(they'll turn brown/red/orange), you are going to have some smoke that will hold its own against anything in the world.

If you are already seeing nice trich(crystal) coverage, you are going to be in for some great great shit once its actually ripe.

Just make sure that the plant doesnt get more than 12.5 hours of sunlight each day, or else it will revert back to the vegitative stage and you'll be waiting for another year.
