hey von they look good! tbh i would have expected more variation from ssh F2! - perhaps as they start flowering there will be more.

i have some brick weed seeds, probably african, from 20+ years ago. i must see if any still work. they havent been kept in the fridge though but probably worth a try as they may be proper unadulterated genetics.

i grew up on mostly hash which was made from indica. weed (sativa in those days) was a nice rarity in the UK.

Hey V, a lot of the African strains have a goofy taste to me. Ya here in Germany if didn´t grow our own it would be just hash. And it is not that good.

They are consistent. Most of Shantis and Co. stuff is. They bill it as a F1 but most of them breed pretty true. I plan on running the f 3´s and f 4´s this year.

I was in there today and there is some size difference but the structure for each plant is very similar. I just transplanted this last Wed. and they really explode with growth after the transplant. I waited a little too long with this one......about 4 days. The roots started to wrap the containers already.

I have a really huge female that I took a couple of cuts from today. She has very heavy side branches. I mean THICK so I think she is worth a clone or two.

I will take pictures later this week to give them 7 days from the last transplant.

By the end of this week I will have them in 12 liter pots then. I do not plan on running them in the 100 lite containers because of the difference in finish times and the space the containers take up in the flower room. Too much dead space.

I did not include in the first post what I have been watering them with and some of the things I have been doing to get the results I have so far. LOL another on going experiment from me. Please do not try this at home. You might end up addicted to growing for life. I will post it up later. I have to check back on the notes.

a12 Thanks for stopping in man. I miss having SSH around so...........

nizzle Hang around man, the best is yet to come.

Jim Rockford Picture update tomorrow.

Capt.Cheeze1 Cheeze, what is up? I will get some pictures up tomorrow. I have been working late this week and the light is off by the time I get home and there is not enough time to take pictures at 5 am.

habeeb habeeb, where have you been? Good to see you. Thanks forstopping in man.

They have a nice ,.............peppery smell now. I will sniff around tomorrow morning so I can post it with the pictures.

Ok, back to the thread details. The last time I think I was going to post up some of the teas I am using and some different things this time around. Most I have done before.

Teas:

Seedling stage is the standard EWC, molasses and either Fulvic or Humic acid and Liquid Seaweed. I add this to about 6 to 8 liters of water and bubble for 24 hours. I give them one tea per transplant. Or when I transplant I water with a tea and do not use them again unless I see something wrong with them. So far with these I have had no problems. As you can see they are growing leaps and bounds.

1st transplant Same tea and I topped dressed with High N guano. My soil is recycled and I added N guano but still no tip burn so they can take a little more than the last round I grew.

As I posted earlier.......I have transplanted to 12 liter pots. Now here where I live they want 4.99 € each!!! I told that garden lady they are crazy and her reply was
there are no cheaper around
.......she did not know who she was talking to. I marched my ass right over to the cement section and purchased 12 liter black buckets for .97 cents. I just smiled as I walked by her again. So, I picked up 10-12 liter buckets for 9.70 € Hell ya! I am the master of budget growing.......well almost.

They plants have LOTS of bud sites. I have had to bend stems to keep them under the light. I have 2 distinct phenos. One is shorter with rounder flowers and the other is lanky and is just getting some decent flowers on them. I think the shorter plants wit the larger flowers is dominant. It is the ones I will hit with some pollen. Well maybe just one of them. I am working the 12 to13 week finisher. We shall see if I picked the right one when I run t second round this summer with the f3´s.

Thanks for stopping in gang and I PROMISE I will have some pictures up tomorrow when all of you wake up in North America.

bis bald.

Looking forward to it.

Just to clarify: your seedlings are grown in 100% castings?

And I've been doing the same tea application, i.e. at each transplant. I also tend to apply ACT anytime I've let the top of the soil dry out too much (more than 1" deep or so).

One more random question: Mikado. I've heard good things and know that Quisp, for one, used a Mikado in his Holy Grail hybrid. Do you know if Federation's current version of Mikado compares at all to the older versions?

Bring on the pics!

Lisdexik Hey ma thanks for the pit stop. GHS ya I have heard things like that before but hey everyone has their bad batch of seeds or just didn´t get the pheno in that round they were looking for. I have good luck with Mr. Nice seeds when I grow them. Never been disappointed.

Dignan Dig whats up man? No the mix was 50{50 coco to peat mix and then I added 2\3´s EWC. And then top dressed with fresh EWC. Do you remember talking about the amount of EWC and the male to female ratio?I wanted 60% females this time because of room.......I got 80% females. Hmmmmmm

I am running the Mikado in mostly EWC, clay pellets and the coco and peat mix but adding the extra EWC I cut the ratio of coco and peat down. If I get 80% again I think there is something to that. Maybe.

Mikado X Triple Moonshine.....well that cross comes from Motas Militia aka the Blazing Pistollerros. That is the gangs name now. It is a sister to the G13Hashplant X Triple Moonshine I grew last round. Just a different Afghan used. The Mikado is a short potent Afghan from the BC area I believe and i is a good one. All of Motas stuff is old genetics donated. The G13 HP was from 86 or 87. This is the first time to grow the Mikado and TM so I do not know how she is yet. We shall see.

Ok update.

Here is my solution to spending too much money. Just like the 5.00€ 100 liter containers, I used the same idea on the 12liter buckets for .97 cents. I drilled one inch holes in these for drainage.

picture.php

We have 2 phenos out of these. One that has thin branches and is very easy to bent the stems. The buds are forming slower and smaller.

Here is a shot of group B SSH

picture.php

Here is the heavier branched version. I like these better. A couple are shorter but all have a real nice look and smell right now.

picture.php

and here are a few random shots and a couple of group shots to show the bud sites. First here is the meter stick on the plants. The runt is actually the tallest now. I had to bend her and her sister runt because the were taller than everything in the room. This is the first time to bend them.

picture.php

Here are the two runts now. One of each pheno

picture.php

Thats it for now. I have some more pics I will post up later.
