Lookin' good Bruja, you violated the tasty bud pictures rule though :angrymod:, whats the aromas like?

Wet Feb here, love the rain in the desert... ceosote and sage aromas ahh... gonna need a dehumidifier if this keeps up, and I keep messing up harvest times to coincide with the monsoons... :bashhead: :biglaugh:

a good sealed room with an ac unit is a much better route than a dehumidifier i run a 12k btu with 3 1000 watt lights in a 10 x 6 x 8 room and stay down in the low 50's lights off to top temp of 68 degrees with lights on i gotta sealed room vented hoods and co2 havent had any problems with all this rain we've been getting :) preobablly not liked by you hydro guys much ehh lol

back on page 73 I ws talking about my first harvest & how I f'ed it up by not flushing much and drying too quick. I did the water cure route which helped, sort of. Still nasty, just in a diffrent way. Eventually I coudn't smoke it at all, just too gross, so I made cookies & took a break from smoking entirely. Second harvest happened last night, two Super Skunks & one Ice. (I've been vaping fresh nugs all day, never knew you could do that! - Wheeee!) & each plant's buds are in a glass bowl in my cabinet in the bottom flower chamber with the lights off for the time being. I don't want to spread them out for fear of drying too quick again so I'll turn them over in the bowls once a day for a while before putting them in paper bags, then on to jars.

Legends Ultimate Indica. Outdoor, Las Vegas, 118degrees that summer during the last 2 weeks of July. Watered in the morning, afternoon, and shortly after dark. Turned out just as good as what had been grown indoors of the same strain.

i dunno...i've always thought vegas and the deserts are pretty damn fine places for outdoor growing! the only difference from cooler climates is one needs to water a lot more often...i'd water 3x/day; around sunrise, mid-afternoon and a heavy one shortly after dusk...often a watering once or twice extra during the extreme heat is needed...but still, never had any probs and got some pretty huge bushes/trees from the backyard! quality was just as good too, as was the flavor.

iow...i totally recommend a backyard desert grow. a bit too much work to make it work guerilla-style probably but plant some sun-adjusted clones in the ground, install a sprinkler & timer, toss around some mulch and go for it!

i got some space queen in there too ill post the pics of them at harvest and of the m-39 i cut the star trek down it started throwing nanners like mad ther were like 10 or so i picked them all off came back about 4 hours later and there were just a few more than the first time so i cut them off and decided i was cutting it down the next morning no sense taking chances with a plant over it being 3 days early and i must say phenominal on the taste ive only smoked a couple tokes what i could find that was dry and man whats smooth and intense rush of tropical flavors very nice and lucky me i finally got my one and only clone i'd taken of the star trek to finally start pushing roots hope to transplant tomorrow or next day plus i'd given a friend a couple of them as well and he got both of his to root so yay i saved the star trek and depending on its over all yield is really going to make the difference if it gets run again so far i have no complaints but we'll see come weigh in got like 8 plastric coat hangers full of drying bud im geussing at least a half pound and if thats the case i might throw it back depends on what the jillybean weighs in at but its a fucking monster you gota check out these leaves on my jilly bean bro lol they're totally purple
man is it ever purple has been for past 3-4 weeks :) just started to be able to see the yellow under the purple about 2 days ago :)

what to do

what to do

Hi SWG's~

I have an AD plant that has been flowering 70 days. That's right. I checked the trichs and they look perfect(ready to cut), but the damn plant keeps getting fatter buds and new green hairs. Can't decide what I should do?
My gut says "cut her", because of the trich colors(amber/cloudy), but then I see the new growth and the buds getting fatter....
What do you guys think??? Help!

BTW---hope you all are enjoying the spring weather!

Ok. I've decided to chop her. But still if you all have any input, I'd sure appreciate it. Always willing to learn something new!

Peace and Good Medicine to ALL.

If the trichs tell you it's time to chop, chop her down. If you get over ripened, the THC degrades.

Indeed I did. Chop, that is.
This was the smallest AD plant I had going, but the trichs were just the right color(s).
Thank you guys for validating what I thought I should do---and did.
;)
