Hey red,

What are you trying to say, that you can smell my stinkin' ass all the way from South America? Haha, no the shower stall is only for waterings. I cant leave any standing water in the room becuase there will be a million bugs copulating in it when I come back to empty run off trays.

O lol im not trying to say anything hehe, i use my shower stall for growing and i love it, so easy to watering and flushing :D

how come lots of bugs ? high rh ?

cheers m8

No, my rh is actually pretty low.

The bug issues are from collecting clones from dispensaries, I get a new pest almost every time I buy/trade for a clone. Some of the insect species are tough and stick around longer than others. By now, though, I'm happy with the strains I have collected and I'm done with that non-sense. A few practical precautions and I think I can prevent any serious bug related damages.

yep live and learn :D

i had that happened to me before, now if i do get new strains or clone i'll make sure they are pests free before i put 'em in my garden, if you have time check out my stall growth its almost finish :D

Flower Log

Flower Log

[CO2 set to 600 ppm]
March 15: Day 1 - 8 cups; 10 mL/Gal Grow +2 cups; 15 mL/Gal .75% Imid(Post treatment follow-up)
March 17: Day 3 - 8 cups; 10 mL/Gal Grow, 2.5 mL/Gal Hygrozyme, 2.5 mL/Gal Cal-Mag, 2 mL/Gal Silica Blast
March 18: Day 4- 10 cups; 10 mL/Gal Grow, 2.5 mL/Gal Hygrozyme
March 19: Day 5- 10 cups; 10 mL/Gal Grow, [Azamax spray]
March 21: Day 7- 10 cups; 10 mL/Gal Grow, 2.5 mL/Gal BigSwell
March 23: Day 9- 8 cups; water
March 25: Day 11- 8 cups; 7.5 mL Grow, 2.5 mL Bloom, 7.5 mL/Gal EJ MicroBlast
March 27: Day 13- 8 cups; 5 mL grow, 5 mL Bloom, 5 mL Hygrozyme
Notes: March 28- Nute burn from MicroBlast; 7.5 mL/gal was far to much to correct a minor sulfur deficiency. *What actually happened here was that there were to much of the other salts in the medium.
March 29: Day 15- 8 cups; 10 mL Bloom
[CO2 reset from 600 to 1500 ppm]
March 31: Day 17- 10 cups water (with a dash of EJ Bloom to help bring down ph a bit)
April 2: Day 19- 8 cups 10 mL Bloom
April 3: Day 20- 2 gallon light flush

Notes:
End of first trimester of flowering. Schedule has been a mess; I discovered that the Soul Synthetic Grow/Bloom do not work as stand alone nutrients in straight coco as they are lacking in micro nutrients and a little low in K, IMO.

I did some math and came up with a Lucas fomula-like general use mixture. I tried to recreate the nutrient profile of the lucas formula and got:

"Master Mix"
6 mL/gal Soul Synthetics Grow
4 mL/gal Soul Synthetics Bloom
4 mL/gal Earth Juice Microblast
2 mL/gal Earth Juice Meta-K
+2 mL/gal Hygrozyme OR Mayan MicroZyme

I think this recipe is a little low in Ca, but I get well water from my tap that has a ton of it.

I'm going to to dilute the substrate as needed between feedings with a solution of 2 mL/g Hygrozyme + 2mL/Gal Mayan Microzyme + 7.5mL/Gal Earth Juice Catalyst

April 4: Day 21- 1 gallon "Master Mix"
April 5: Day 22- 3/4 gallon "Master Mix" w/ Bloom boosters added @ 7.5 mL/Gal
[CO2 reduced to 1000 ppm]
April 7: Day 24- 3/4 gallon MM
April 9: Day 26- 1 gallon MM
April 10: Day 27- 10 cup dilution w/ Enzymes
April 11: Day 28- 14 cups MM with synthetic boost @ 7.5 mL/gal, organic @10 mL/gal
April 13: Day 30- 1 gal MM
April 14: Day 31- 14 cups MM
April 16: Day 33- 12 cups 2/3 strength MM

Signs of perhaps too much N. Switching to only SS Bloom and EJ Micro for duration.

April 18: Day 35- 12 cups 10 mL/Gal bloom, 5 mL/gal MicroBlast
April 20: Day 37- 1 Gal '' ''
April 21: Day 38- 2 cups '' ''
April 22: Day 39- 12 cups '' ''

8 mL Soul Bloom
2 mL Meta-K
4 mL MicroBlast

April 23: Day 40- 4 cups
April 25: Day 42- 10 cups +[6 mL Earth Juice Catalyst and 3 mL/Gal Mayan MircoZyme]
April 26: Day 43- 4 cups
April 27: Day 44- 4 cups
April 28: Day 45- 1 gallon
May 1: Day 47- 6 cups; 5 mL/gal Bloom, 5 mL/gal HPK, 2 mL/gal Meta-K, 5 mL/gal MicroZyme, 2 mL/Gal SilicaBlast, 2 mL Microblast+10 mL/gal Catalyst
May 3: Day 49- 4 cups
May 4: Day 50- 4 cups plain water
May 5: Day 51- 4 cups
May 7: Day 53- 14 cups
May 9- Day 55- 10 cups
May 10- Day 57- 5 cups
May 14- Day 61- 2.5 gal plain water
May 16- Day 63- 5 cups RO water
May 17- Day 64- 5 cups RO
May 18- Day 65-5 cups RO

Thanks Red, I've been watching your stall grow. You've convinced me to use my shower stall as a veg area! I'll drop some picture when I get it rockin in a few weeks.

Enjoy the new smokes!

Thor! I'm a fan, man. I spent a lot of time drooling over your bud shots as a lurker. Glad to have you along for the ride, heres hoping it goes smoothly.

Well I learned a new lesson: dont stack systemic pesticides.

I think the aphids are gone, but the combination of Imid and Azamax has caused some necrotic spots on the leaves here and there.

Also, the top growth is still a bit yellow. It looks like a minor micro-nutrient deficiency to me, so I gave the plants a shot of Earth Juice MicroBlast today and I hope that helps.

Arg! I burnt the tips with that Earth Juice... sorry viewers. The salt concentration was way to high in the medium, then when they got the sulfur they needed it burnt the shit out of the leaves. I flushed to correct.

They are recovering from the sulfur deficiency nicely, though. And it doesnt look like it set them back much.

For the last two trimesters of flower, I am going to do a side by side comparison of Aurora Innovation's bloom boosters. Half of the plants will get Roots Organic HPK 0-5-4, the other half Soul Synthetics Bigswell 2-5-3. Each will be applied four times at 1/2 the maximum recommended rate, with a week in between applications.

Check it out, Aurora Innovations accidentally put a 4oz sample label on a quart, so I got it for free.

Yes my bugs are gone! WOO HOO! Thank you, Imidacloprid!

And thank you, nukk, for the positive vibes. The plants look real funny right now because they are half lime green and half dark green. Although the new master nute mix I made is performing nicely in both of my rooms, so that's what I am going to use for all my plants. All should go smoothly from here on.

Everything is getting a mixture of Earth Juice Catalyst and Mayan Microzyme to make sure that they can eat the guano.
