oh no GHS are a business!!!!!!
How dare they promote their company and try and integrated systems that have proven successful in commercial agriculture.....Im frankly shocked.

see fashionable to insult GHS here, but iv never had any trouble with their seeds having actuly grown many of the strains unlike most of their critics.

and they sent me free stuff ;)

Haha how dare they!! I've never grown their seed so I do tend to agree with peps here..don't pass judgement without experience, and don't forget, if you can hermie bubba/OG then i'm sure you can hermie arjans haze...don't blame it on the genetics :bashhead:

Couldn't agree more honestly that company must have some BUNK if all they do is advertise.. If a seed company has good quality smoke the smokers will go to the company all by there selves just like Rez did.

You must've never spent any time at OG.....Spamalicious. Rez was very boastful and was most certainly constantly advertising (for free), and to the extent that it became quite controversial.

Advertising is actually a rather effective means of informing your target consumer demographic what you have to offer and to keep them updated on new products. It's arguably more effective than simply relying on word of mouth. This is why successful business have advertising budgets.

Sometimes, when a company seems to be popular, doing very well and advertising heavily, it's because they actually have a good product.

Crazy stuff, I know.

i think its a great idea for most small time growers...you buy a 5 pack with five different strains

you grow five different plants in your 100x100x200 grow tent with a 400 watt

you have 200-300 grams of smokeable herb which is better than 99.5% of the weed you can buy on the street and better herb than 95% of the dutch coffeeshops (if you know how to grow and harvest properly of course)

if you don't like greenhouse or arjan just don't buy from his seed bank...its so simple

but if you just want to get blasted...like me....i buy his seeds sometimes and on a regular basis pop into his new coffeeshop united....and after five hits from my glass pipe....I am always feeling quite nice

many people (at least 80%) live in their minds and their imagination...and do not base their opinions on reality...in other words grow ghsc seeds....correctly....dry...cure....and smoke a joint of it.....then you can base your opinion on something real

and concerning colors.....its for someone that smokes a big joint before starting their grow and while unpacking the seeds drops them all over the floor...in this situation...you can still mark your growing pot with what strain you have based on the color

because if you dropped five seeds that are the natural color....you would have to grow them out and then guess which strain was which

PLUS......you have to be blind not to see that Arjan is doing everything in the open with all the videos and shit (he obviously has his business practices straight).....and besides so many of the top seed banks getting busted these days and losing their mother stock...and still charging massive cash for seeds produced from simply crossing their own seeds (meaning you are not getting what they promise on their sites)...plus problems with germination with expensive seeds is a reality....just read reports by many people....like sensi or soma seeds that just don't pop...for 130 euro to 150 euro for ten seeds...that is a shame...imo

they have a very good system down now there is no doubt thier products will sell, as for breeding in the open i dont know about that, they dont describe any of these process's ive seen, they have many video's growing plants from either thier seeds or clones and teaching you how, and ive watched alot of them just for fun..... i dont see them showing any parents of strains, they have never shown me the trainwreck momma they use to breed and what they are doing, they just have trainwreck and thats fine.... but sometimes im sure we wish they would show more..... as for candy seeds i dunno ive never used them based on looks its hard for me to want to accept them but who knows untell you try them........

well guys im off to get high,,, i am mostly inclined to reccomend the seeds coming from spain man i gotta say these guys seem to be doing it right......

you know who they are cmon now.....

anyway's have a good day, if everything is the same as 1998 in breeding of thier white widow i reccomend you buy a few packs of that shit..... ive got one ive been draging around for awhile now....... but im a fucking packrat....

Ok I got 4/5 to germinate correctly, the white rhino (which is the one that I really wanted..!) failed to sprout. I'm not sure about their "anti-pathogen and root stimulator" claims, they seem to be no more vigorous than the hash plant seeds from CH9 I popped at the same time. Obviously I can't speak to the bud quality yet; I'll post back in 4 months if I remember.

I always liked growing a variety and this sounds like a cool way to do it, more than one time Ive gotten seeds crossed up and now I got a whole bag labeled 'unknown'. I just watched these fools in the strain-hunter movies they made and looks like they're doin the damn thang. I gotta lot of respect for Green House, with all the commercialization they still keep there prices low too.

i've been on seedboutique a few times and still can't find those colored seeds. I go under the greenhouse section and all, yet I still can't find them  :bashhead: lol. Maybe someone can post or PM me a link. I'd really appreciate it.

I n I still wish to know if these seeds are "organic" or not?

Thanks.

I'm curious as to whether "Organic' matters for seeds.

Do organic growers generally want their seeds to be organic? What if the mother plant was fertilized with chemical salts. Is that still organic?

Or are you referring to the coating? I highly doubt the coating is organic.

Would an 'Organic' grow be non-'Organic' if you used a tiny bit of fungus inhibitor and root promoter, that wasn't organic, to sprout the seed?

I think all of the Green House smack talk started when Shanti and Arjan parted ways. There was a tiff going on there, and some of that leaked into the cannabis community. People were slamming Green House for offering genetics that Shanti had developed, while at the same time suggesting Arjan (or whoever he replaced Shanti with), didn't have the growing wherewithal to produce strains of the caliber Green House was known for in the 90s.

Well, all of that is conjecture and forum BS. Green House has some excellent wares available. The internal politics and drama don't interest me, because it has nothing to do with me. As long as they're pushing a good product and aren't killing baby whales, I could give a crap what they do.

The coated seeds is a great methodology. The coating does (not maybe, but does) have an agent in it that prevents damping off. Plus one to protect your investment. On top of that, it's literally impossible to confuse your seeds, unless you're colorblind.

I've heard great things about Green House White Widow, White Rhino, Great White Shark, and a number of their newer strains, like The Church and similar. It is a little meh that they're selling strains called Bubba Kush, Trainwreck, and similar, because we all know these are not the genuine article.

And yes, I know, because I have, in fact, grown the real deal Bubba Kush, and have seen Green House's rendition. A good plant, but not the Bubba Kush you'd get on the west coast.

...on the flip side of that, no one has a copy right on these names, and if Green House wants to register them, then so be it. People have to make money, and if it takes beating someone to the jump, then okay. We've gotta be real...

So...buy and grow Green House if you want. There are plenty of threads on here that attest to their good quality. But if all you want to do is spread rumors and half-truths about a company whose product you've never grown...then take a hike.

I bought 2 - 10 pks of feminized white rhino, super silver haze, hawaiian snow, lemon skunk and big bang. 19 out of 20 germinated. What was strange was one super silver haze seeds was very slow to germinate, it couldn't lose the pink coating on the head. This runt is 3 months old and it is only 3" tall. The others SSH's are 3 feet tall! I am very happy with the others though. The White Rhino's are beautiful, very dense plants. The Hawaiian Snow grows so fast you have to LST it. All 5 are very different, with different finishing times, so I wouldn't recommend growing all of them together in a hydro system. I'm doing their clones now in separate ebb n flow trays. All in all, I'm happy with Greenhouse, and will buy more from them in the future. I will probably presoak the seeds first.

Its funny everyone hating on GHS simply because the are a money making venture..

could be worse , at least their not colour coating their landmines or assault rifles to make them easier to market !

I dont know what to make of this, in one hand I think it's a cool idea to get to try 5 different femmed strains, and on the other hand I think that they must suck because Arjan seems to be more into marketing then marijuana. Seems like a gimmick, or a novelty item.

Arjan makes the best weed ive ever smoked

What some describe as gimmicky, i call cutting edge. They're great in my book. Their videos provide more grow info than any othe breeder in the business. The 2 strains I grew were excellent and exactly as described in the video grow. Now this. They're at the top of their field. I respect excellence and innovation.

their grow videos are shit, what wattage are they using whats their setup consist of,what nutes did they use what troubles did they encounter.????? heres a rundown of their vid, here we have award our award winning strain 85ltr pot.here we have our award winning strain 2weeks big resin big indica here we have our award winning strain week3 here we have our award winning strain week4 and so on! i hear more about them owning the strain and how fucking great it is than actual grow info in their grow vids!
